Profiderall Review
Profiderall is a new “maximum strength” nootropic that claims to sharpen your focus, improve your memory, and boost your mental performance.
What is Profiderall?
Profiderall calls itself America’s #1 cognitive energy enhancer. By increasing your focus, improving your concentration, and boosting your energy, Profiderall can help you work smarter – at least, that’s the idea.
The supplement claims to be “scientifically engineered to help healthy overachievers.” There are a mixture of natural and synthetic ingredients, including Picamilon, vinpocetine, taurine, and a vitamin blend.
Each bottle is priced at around $55. There are 75 capsules in each bottle. You take 2 capsules per day to enjoy short-term and long-term cognitive benefits.
Benefits of Profiderall
Some of the advertised benefits of Profiderall include:
— Sharpened Focus
— Improved Memory
— Higher Energy
— Enhanced Mental Performance
These are the same promises made by virtually every other nootropic on the market today. What we really care about is how Profiderall actually works.
How Does Profiderall Work?
Profiderall’s power comes from its blend of natural and synthetic ingredients. The creator of Profiderall claims these ingredients “wake up your brain”.
Here’s how each ingredient in Profiderall works, according to the official Profiderall website:
— Picamilon: Delivers GABA, a neurotransmitter, to receptor sites in the brain
— Choline: Used as a building block to produce acetylcholine
— Tyrosine: Precursor of four neurotransmitters, including L-dopa, dopamine, nor-epinephrine, and epinephrine
— Taurine: Fights fatigue and supports brain function
— DMAE: Naturally boosts choline levels in the brain, which thereby increases acetylcholine production
— Alpha Lipoic Acid: Plays a vital role in the brain’s ATP energy production through glycolytic and citric acid cycles
— Vinpocetine: Improves the brain’s utilization of glucose and increases ATP energy production
— Huperzine A: Inhibits production of acetylcholineesterase, which is an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine
— Caffeine: Profiderall claims to use “the purest form of caffeine” to stimulate your nervous system and reduce fatigue
— Vitamin Blend: This vitamin blend “supports healthy blood flow, oxygenation, and energy production in the brain” using vitamins B5, B6, and B12
All of the ingredients listed here are commonly found in other nootropics with the exception of one: Picamilon.
Picamilon is a prescription medication in Russia, Japan, and other countries but is currently classified as a dietary supplement in the United States. That means it doesn’t have to be regulated, controlled, or verified in any way.
The manufacturer of Profiderall claims that Picamilon is “the only nootropic that is able to cross the blood-brain barrier”. GABA by itself cannot cross the blood-brain barrier, but Picamilon claims to be the best way to deliver GABA into the brain.
Profiderall Ingredients
Profiderall lists the following ingredients chart on the side of its packaging as well as on the official website:
The main problem with Profiderall’s list of ingredients is that the majority of ingredients are hidden behind a proprietary blend called the Cognitive Energy Complex.
Another problem is that there’s 150mg of pure caffeine in each serving. That’s as much caffeine as one large, strong cup of coffee. It’s also about 1/3 as much caffeine by weight as all of the proprietary ingredients blended together.
If you feel a surge of energy after taking Profiderall, it may be because you just took a caffeine pill – not because you’re feeling the effects of magical nootropic ingredients like Picamilon (we have no idea how much Picamilon is in each capsule anyway).
How to Buy Profiderall
Profiderall takes a refreshingly honest approach to online ordering forms. It doesn’t lure you into a free trial or trick you into signing up for an autoship program. Instead, it charges you a simple and clear rate of $54.95 per bottle.
You can buy Profiderall online from Profiderall.com, where you can pay by MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express. All payments are processed through the secure ordering form at PayPal and not directly through the Profiderall website.
You can also purchase Profiderall from Amazon, where each bottle costs $55.49. The supplement currently has an average customer rating of 3 stars out of 5 with 36 customer reviews. The vast majority of reviews are either 5 star or 1 star with few reviews in between.
Who Makes Profiderall?
Profiderall is made by a company that calls itself Profiderall Laboratories. That company appears to be legally known as Profiderall, LLC.
There’s very little information about the company available online. Most of what we do know comes from this page that lists the company’s trademark application for the Profiderall name. At that page, we learn that Profiderall is based in Reno, NV 89501 and is led by a guy named Matt Lester, who lives at 1507 7th St #241 in Santa Monica, California.
The name Profiderall was first used in 2009 and the trademark was officially registered on May 4, 2011.
