Vita Mind – Liquid Multivitamin Nootropic Brain Boosting Benefits?

on

VitaMind describes itself as “the everyday liquid vitamin for a healthy brain”. Find out everything you need to know about this nootropic-like liquid formula today in our review.

What Is VitaMind?

VitaMind, available online through Amazon Prime, is a liquid vitamin supplement available in flavors like Orange, Pomegranate, and Coconut. The water promises to give your brain the fuel it needs to stay sharp.

The bottles come in a two bottle set. Each set is priced at $70 through Amazon. However, those two bottles provide 30 days of supplementation.

By taking VitaMind daily, you can enjoy better focus, attention, motor speed, and problem solving. The supplement works in a similar way to conventional nootropics: it promotes blood flow, brain metabolism, and energy. Interestingly, VitaMind claims their formula works “especially in healthy young men” and “especially in older adults”. Sorry, young ladies – you’re not mentioned.

In addition to the core VitaMind multivitamin formula, the company sells a Coconut Oil Water supplement. However, VitaMind is best-known for their multivitamin formula.

How Does VitaMind Work?

VitaMind is easy to use: you buy two bottles as part of the $70 two-pack set. That set lasts for 30 days. You take one cap of each bottle, once a day. You pour the liquid into the cap, take a shot, and enjoy the benefits of VitaMind.

According to reviews online, some people say it tastes good, while others don’t like the taste and describe the flavor as “chemical”. Some mix the liquid with other smoothies and supplements, while others take it straight.

There are two parts of the VitaMind formula: the Origin bottle (included in every package) and the flavored bottle (available in Orange, Coconut, or Pomegranate varieties). You can choose which flavor comes in your package. Regardless of which flavor you choose, it provides the same benefits – just with slightly different flavoring ingredients.

Here’s How Each Bottle Works:

VitaMind Origin

VitaMind Origin is the core part of the VitaMind formula. It contains most of the nootropic, focus-enhancing ingredients. Key parts of the formula include:

Cognizin Citicholine: Increases the speed and efficiency of brain cell function, particularly in regards to memory formation.

Cereboost: Strengthens functional connections between brain cells. There’s 200mg of Cereboost in each serving (this is the only dosage that VitaMind discloses upfront on its Amazon page or official website).

Vitamin B Complex: Supports healthy memory and thinking in an aging brain.

Magnesium: Magnesium adds stability to brain cell function and plays a crucial role throughout your mind.

Spirulina: Spirulina works like an antioxidant, protecting your nerve cells against free radical damage.

VitaMind Coconut, Orange, Or Pomegranate

This is the second part of the VitaMind formula. It comes in three flavors. Each flavor provides two core components:

Omega 3: Promotes the development and maintenance of healthy brain cells.

Coconut MCT Oil: Supports performance by enhancing metabolism and brain energy.

Together, all of the ingredients listed above “supply the brain with energy and play an essential role in healthy brain function like memory, and attention” explains the official website. The ingredients also help prevent wear and tear on your brain.

VitaMind Coconut Oil Water

In addition to the two-pack of nootropic formulas listed above, VitaMind sells a product called Coconut Oil Water. Coconut Oil Water is priced at $50 for a pack of 12. It’s available in four flavors: plain, mango, chocolate, and pineapple.

The water consists of a combination of coconut oil, coconut water, and purified water. Each serving (2 servings per container) provides 80mg of potassium (2% daily value), 40mg of sodium (2% DV), and a small amount of magnesium, vitamin C, and calcium.

VitaMind Ingredients

Oddly, VitaMind does not disclose its ingredients online either through the official website or through Amazon. No nutritional information or full list of ingredients is published upfront – which is a big red flag, especially when you’re being asked to pay $70 for two bottles of a supplement.

The only nutritional information we could find for any VitaMind supplement was for the Coconut Oil Water. You can view the nutritional facts section for that supplement here. The only listed ingredients for that supplement are coconut oil, coconut water, and water. However, the formulas are flavored – so the flavor has to come from somewhere.

Ultimately, it’s awkward that you don’t know what’s inside VitaMind until you actually buy the supplement (it’s all labeled on the back of each bottle). When you’re paying $70 for a single 30 day supply of a nutritional supplement, you expect more information upfront.

VitaMind Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?

VitaMind is available through Amazon, where the product has received a small number of reviews so far. Most of those reviews are very positive. VitaMind has an average rating of 4.4 stars out of 5. All reviews but 1 gave the product 5 stars. Some of the reviews on the Amazon page have a weird “feel” to them, however, and may be fake. Nevertheless, here are some of the pros and cons across all of the reviews:

Pros

Cons

  • Not all reviewers enjoy the flavor; one reviewer described the taste as “awful, like a chemical taste”
  • No nutritional information or ingredient information is disclosed upfront, either through the Amazon page or the official website
  • No scientific studies have been performed with VitaMind to reinforce any of the claimed benefits

The lack of scientific evidence and clinical trials is worrying. Typically, when you take supplements orally in liquid form, they have lower bioavailability than supplements taken in other methods – like capsule form. So even if VitaMind contains the right ingredients and dosages, it may not work as advertised 100% of the time.

VitaMind Pricing

Here’s how pricing breaks down for VitaMind products either online or through Amazon:

30 Day Multivitamin (2 Pack of Bottles): $69.99 (one month supply)

Coconut Oil Water: $49.99 (12 pack)

Who Makes VitaMind?

VitaMind was created by Dr. Markus Chwajol, a Columbia University graduate in neuroscience and behavior. Dr. Chwajol completed his training in neurosurgery at Montefiore Medical Center. Today, Dr. Chwajol practices neurosurgery at University of Illinois at Chicago.

Should You Buy VitaMind?

VitaMind describes itself as an everyday liquid vitamin for a healthy brain. Priced at $70 for a monthly supply, the supplement claims to sharpen your brain, boost your cognitive energy, and enhance your overall health and wellness.

However, there are some drawbacks to VitaMind: the company doesn’t list its ingredients or nutritional information upfront. You need to buy the supplement and look at the back of the bottle to see what’s inside it. When you’re being asked to pay $70 for two liquid bottles of a supplement, it’s weird there isn’t more nutritional information displayed upfront.

There’s also the issue that VitaMind mentions numerous powerful benefits, yet doesn’t provide a source, scientific study, or clinical trial reinforcing those benefits.

Ultimately, VitaMind may be worth a try if you’re looking to enhance your cognitive function with an easy-to-take liquid shot. However, at $70 for a 30 day supply, it’s hard to definitively say if VitaMind lives up to its price based on the information given to us so far.
