Life10 Electrolyte Alkaline Water – Natural Spring Water Benefits?

on

Life10 is a new type of electrolyte alkaline water available at convenience stores and supermarkets across America. Here’s our Life10 review.

What Is Life10?

Life10 is a bottled water product that comes from springs in Wisconsin. The water is specially treated so that it’s alkaline and filled with electrolytes. Key electrolytes and minerals in Life10 water include calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride.

The makers of Life10 claim the water is “naturally alkaline”. By drinking the water regularly, you can live a healthier lifestyle.

Although the water comes from Wisconsin, the manufacturer of Life10 is based in Louisiana. Can you actually become healthier by drinking alkaline water? Let’s take a closer look.

How Does Alkaline Water Make You Healthier?

There’s been a huge push in recent years towards using alkaline water to improve your health. The high-priced water is more alkaline than ordinary water. Some people believe this balances out acidity in your water, helping you become healthier overall.

So what is alkaline water? Alkaline water has a higher pH level than tap water. Many people take that to assume that it neutralizes acid in your bloodstream, boosts your metabolism, and helps your body absorb nutrients more effectively. Supporters of alkaline water even believe alkaline water can prevent disease and slow the aging process.

Unfortunately, no scientific research has demonstrated any connection between drinking alkaline water and enjoying health benefits.

As MayoClinic.org reports, “Researchers haven’t verified these claims”. They did, however, claim that “some studies suggest that alkaline water may help slow bone loss”, although they cautioned further investigation is needed to determine if this benefit is maintained over the long term.

The main criticism of alkaline water is that your stomach is acidic, so anything that passes through your stomach is affected by this acidity. By the time the alkaline water is absorbed by your body in your GI tract, it’s no longer alkaline.

Nevertheless, natural health advocates continue to insist that you pay higher prices for alkaline water to enjoy mysterious health benefits.

The official Life10 website posts no scientific research or studies proving their water is more effective, or healthier, than ordinary tap water.

Life10 Ingredients

Life10 is water that is naturally alkaline. It also contains electrolytes and minerals, including all of the following:

  • Sodium (Na+): Sodium helps your body control the total amount of water in your body. It’s a crucial electrolyte.
  • Chloride (Cl-): Chloride is primarily found in extracellular fluid. It works closely with sodium to maintain proper balance in all organs and tissues in the body.
  • Potassium (K+): Potassium is the major cation inside cells. It’s important for regulating heartbeat and muscle function. As the Life10 website explains, “it forms the other half of the electrical pump that keeps electrolytes in balance and allows conductivity between cells”.
  • Magnesium (Mg++): Magnesium is crucial for over 300 biochemical reactions in the human body. It also plays a role in the synthesis of RNA and DNA.
  • Calcium (Ca++): Calcium is crucial for the formation of bones and teeth, but it also plays a crucial role in nerve impulses, blood clotting, muscle contraction, and more. A lack of calcium can lead to osteoporosis.

The official Life10 website doesn’t list the dosage of any of these electrolytes. Typically, however, bottled water contains a low dose of minerals and electrolytes – otherwise, the water would have a funny taste. Still, don’t expect Life10 to work like a multivitamin supplement.

Life10 Pricing

Life10 is available on the official website, Life10.life, only via an ordering form.

Each bottle of Life10 contains 500mL (16.9 oz) of liquid. Pricing details are not listed upfront on the official website.

You can also purchase Life10 through convenience stores and supermarkets across America, including Brothers Food Mart.

Typically, the water is priced between $2 and $4 per bottle.

Who Makes Life10?

Life10 is sourced from natural alkaline water from Wisconsin. The makers of Life10 claim that it comes “from the melting Ice Age glaciers that deposits into the polar springs of Wisconsin” (that’s the word for word description on the official website).

Obviously, there are no glaciers or polar springs in Wisconsin today, because there aren’t really any high mountains. The glaciers retreated from Wisconsin 11,000 years ago, leaving mineral deposits behind. The makers of Life10 have found a spring where this water continues to come from.

Life10 is made by a company based at the following address in Louisiana:

1509 Hickory Avenue, Suite A

Harahan, LA 70123

Life10 Water Review Summary

Alkaline water is something you either will or won’t believe. Most modern scientific evidence suggests that alkaline water becomes neutralized by our stomach acid, which effectively turns it into ordinary tap water.

However, some people believe alkaline water helps to balance out the blood, reduce acidity in your organs, and reduce your risk of diseases – or even prevent aging.

With that in mind, Life10 is one of several major alkaline water brands available today. It doesn’t appear to be available to order online, although you can find it at convenience stores across the United States priced between $2 and $4 per bottle.
