Gatorade Flow is a sports drink unveiled in 2017. Find out everything you need to know about this version of Gatorade today in our review.
What Is Gatorade Flow?
Gatorade Flow is a sports drink designed to hydrate your body during athletic activity. The beverage has been on the market for several weeks. However, most people just heard about it because of the recent commercials featuring Paul George or Patrick Kane.
In one commercial that aired during the NBA playoffs, Paul George is seen playing some intense basketball, scoring a game-winning three pointer, and then walking off the court and drinking Gatorade Flow while saying “ball game”.
In a separate commercial for the NHL playoffs, we see Patrick Kane drinking a Gatorade Flow on the bench before jumping on the ice to score the game-winning goal. Like Paul George, Kane skates back to the bench after taking the shot, then begins to drink as the shot enters the net.
Today, Gatorade Flow is available in two different flavors, including:
- Blackberry Wave
- Kiwi Strawberry
The beverage is available through Amazon, Target, and other retailers. One new flavor may be launched in the future called Citrus Crash, although we couldn’t find it on Amazon or other sources at the time of writing (there are rumors it’s a 7-11 exclusive).
Gatorade Flow Nutritional Value
Each serving (1 bottle) of Gatorade Flow comes with the following nutritional value:
- Calories: 140
- Total Fat: 0g
- Sodium: 270mg (11% daily value)
- Potassium: 75mg (2% DV)
- Total Carbohydrates: 35g (12% DV)
- Sugars: 34g
Ingredients in Gatorade Flow
The ingredients vary slightly between the two formulas. Here are all of the ingredients in the two flavors:
- Kiwi Strawberry: Water, sugar, dextrose, citric acid, sodium citrate, natural flavor, salt, monopotassium phosphate, phosphoric acid, yellow 5, blue 1.
- Blackberry Wave: Water, sugar, dextrose, citric acid, natural flavor, sodium citrate, salt, monopotassium phosphate, phosphoric acid, red 40.
The nutritional value is identical between the two flavors.
As you can see, there’s a high level of sodium and potassium in both formulas. Potassium and sodium are two common electrolytes, and they’re the ones most commonly seen in hydrating sports drinks.
By drinking these electrolytes, you can replenish fluids lost when you sweat. To be clear, this is the same way Gatorade has always worked – it’s just in a newer, smoother formula with fewer calories than an ordinary bottle of Gatorade.
Gatorade Flow Pricing
Gatorade Flow is available from Amazon, Target, and other retailers. Here’s how pricing breaks down:
- 12 Pack: $9.99 USD
That price includes a 12 pack of 20 fl oz (591mL) bottles. There are 2 flavors (6 bottles per flavor) in each one. Alternatively, Gatorade Flow is sold by the bottle at convenience stores, grocery stores, and other locations.

Should You Buy Gatorade Flow?
Gatorade Flow is a hydrating sports drink designed with fewer calories than the original Gatorade formula. The formula still has the same ingredients as Gatorade – including sugar, potassium, and sodium – but it has a lighter flavor.
The beverage is particularly popular with people who like to dilute their Gatorade before drinking. If you find ordinary Gatorade too sweet or heavy for you, then an option like Gatorade Flow may be the right choice for you.
Whether you just heard about Gatorade Flow in the new Paul George commercial, or you’ve bought it from Amazon before, it’s available to order online and offline today at a price of around $1 per bottle.
