Birch sap or ‘birch water’ as it is commonly referred to, is the extract that has been traditionally tapped from trees that belong to ‘birch family’. Some of the trees which are a part of this chain include white birch, silver birch, Betula lenta, Betula papyrifera, and Betula fontinalis.
From a nutritional standpoint, sap/ water obtained from these trees may be consumed either fresh or once the sap has been naturally fermented.
At this point it would be useful to give the physical characteristics of this water. In its appearance, this fresh water extract is clear and uncoloured. Due to the natural synthesis process which takes place within the tree, the water is often slightly sweet and has a slightly silky texture. Traditionally, Birch sap has been served as a beverage in many cold countries like Canada, Bulgaria, Macedonia as well as some of parts of China.
If we were to talk about the taste and composition of this water, we can see that it is not only tasty/ nutritious, but it also contains very few calories. Hence it can be used as a tool for losing weight by people looking to switch from sugar based colas to other natural alternatives.
For example, a single serve of coke (600ml) contains over 45% of our daily sugar needs. However, upon research, it has been found that ‘birch water’ contributes to only 1/10th of what sugar based juices and colas provide. Similarly, independent studies conducted by Dr. Sebastian Winckler’s in relation to sugary drinks found that ‘Fruit juices and flavoured waters’ can often be as sugar loaded as a ‘bottle of Coke’.
About ÖselBirch Birch Water
Öselbirch is an all new startup that offers users with a ‘deliciously refreshing drink that is made by nature – Birch Water’. As mentioned earlier, Fermented Birch water is a common beverage that is used in cold countries for a host of reasons.
To start with, it is naturally diuretic and thus helps in the elimination of all toxin and bacterial accumulations that might be present within our bodies. Similarly, each serving of this nutritious drink contains micro-nutrients and vitamins which are highly uncommon and specific to birch trees.
Some of the key benefits that one can get from using ÖselBirch Birch Water include:
- Immunity: clinical evidence is available that shows birch water has certain ‘microbodies’ that enhance the production of RBC’s and WBC’s within our body. These cells help in combating antibodies and increase our overall immunity ratio.
- Cholesterol regulation: using its natural diuretic properties, Oselbirch is able to cleanse out any harmful accumulations from our arterial passages. This means that our HDL and LDL levels can therefore be manipulated and regulated.
- Weight loss: one of the prime properties which set birch water apart from regular beverages is its calorie content. Due to its low sugar volume, the water is able to help users enjoy a refreshing beverage without the delivery of harmful sugars and carbs in the process. Trials have shown that on an average people who drank Oselbirch for a period of 2 weeks, saw a 2-4 kg loss in their overall weight levels.
- Thirst Quencher: many people can attest to the fact that sodas and colas are usually unable to completely satisfy one’s thirst. This is because, sugars present in these beverages stimulate our mind causing the production of more craving based signals. However, birch water is completely natural and thus is able to quench one’s thirst effectively and for long durations.
- Zero Sugar: ÖselBirch Classic has zero sugars added to its primary formula. Thus, it is ideal as a guilt free snack whenever one is thirsty.
ÖselBirch Birch Water Compositional Information And Other details

Owing to its natural detoxifying, anti-inflammatory and cleansing properties, the solution has been found to be effective in providing many tangible medical benefits like:
- Metabolism enhancement: the key active minerals in Birch water help in the increase of metabolic activity within our bodies.
