NeuroGum Review
NeuroGum is a nootropic supplement that comes in the form of chewing gum. The gum will be released on September 10, 2015. Here’s our NeuroGum review.
What is NeuroGum?
NeuroGum is a chewing gum that contains nootropic ingredients (primarily caffeine and L-theanine). The gum will be released on September 10, 2015 after a successful IndieGoGo campaign.
The gum claims to help anyone remember each day more clearly, dream more vividly, and live life more adventurously. It also claims to be the world’s first nootropic energy gum.
NeuroGum is priced at $3.95 per pack at retail.
How Does NeuroGum Work?
NeuroGum relies on four active ingredients to achieve its nootropic benefits. Those ingredients include:
— 40mg of Caffeine: This is about the same caffeine as half a small cup of coffee.
— 60mg of L-Theanine: Stacking L-theanine with caffeine has been shown to reduce the unwanted side effects of caffeine consumption – like jitters and irritability.
— 30% of your Daily Value of Vitamin B6: This popular energy-boosting B vitamin plays a critical role in serotonin production.
— 100% of your Daily Value of Vitamin B12: Another popular energy-boosting B vitamin, vitamin B12 converts carbs into glucose within the body, which can significantly boost physical and mental energy.
You can learn more about the science behind all of NeuroGum’s ingredients here.
NeuroGum Ingredients
NeuroGum contains all of the ingredients listed above (caffeine, L-theanine, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12). The manufacturer is also very careful to state that NeuroGum does not contain aspartame. Here’s why the manufacturer has chosen not to include aspartame:
“Many consumer advocacy groups such as The Center for Science state that aspartame has been shown to cause cancer when tested on lab rats, and a statement of side effects submitted to the FDA show 92 side effects associated with aspartame. Given this, we wanted NeuroGum to stay as far away from the artificial sweetener as possible.”
NeuroGum is also 100% gluten-free, kosher, and it does not contain any ingredients derived from milk, eggs, soy, or wheat gluten.
How to Buy NeuroGum
NeuroGum was officially released to the public on November 10, 2015. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for NeuroGum:
— $3.95 per pack at retail
— $18.95 for a five pack
— $39.95 for a twelve pack tray
The gum is currently only available in one flavor: “Fresh Mint”. You can buy it online through Neurogum.com, although the manufacturer is attempting to get the gum featured at gas stations, retail stores, and online retailers like Amazon.com
How to Use NeuroGum
The manufacturer recommends chewing one or two pieces of NeuroGum whenever you “need a focused energy boost with minty breath”. The effects of the gum should take place in about 5 to 10 minutes (the gum’s active ingredients enter your body sublingually, so they don’t take long to go into effect).
Who Makes NeuroGum?
NeuroGum is made by two entrepreneurs with a background in science and athletics. These two entrepreneurs – Kent Yoshimura and Ryan Chen – founded NeuroGum, LLC in 2013.
The company claims to consult with brain surgeons, food formulators, professional athletes, and “the typical coffee drinker” to make NeuroGum the best chewable nootropic on the market.
The company is based in Los Angeles, California.

I wish I could review this product. After placing my order over 2 weeks ago I still have not received my $39 order of 12 packs of gum! I have tried contacting their customer service department several times to get a tracking/shipping number and they just keep responding with the same letter telling me to keep waiting and remain patient. Very aggrivating experience. I will never make a purchase from them again, no matter how amazing their gum is. BUYER BEWARE
