If a man can grow a beard but can’t properly take care of it, less and less ladies are likely to be excited about all that the bearded man has to offer.
As a result of the obvious demand of revolutionary beard-care options, thousands of independent companies have sprung up in recent months to provide consumers with new and inventive ways to take care of the hair on their face.
Ranging from creative to incredibly dull names, offering a plethora of decrees and ingredients, and marketing towards scores of different types of beards, organizations specializing in beard care are always happy to occupy at least some space within the growing market with a growing demand.
About Lovely Beards
One such company goes by the name “Lovely Beards.” Their site spares no expense marketing their simple products as all-around products meant to aid in the healthy restoration and continuation of even the most contentious of beards.
The simply-named company offers two products—beard oil and beard balm. Though somewhat empty as a website on information pertaining to when a consumer should use one product or the other, the working assumption is that while the oils are used for “taming, grooming, and conditioning of beards and facial hair,” the main draw of the balm is that it can “help soften, condition, repair, and nourish.”
Additionally, the balm is purposed to work as a gentle rub to help mitigate the tough effects of irritability around the chin area.
However, some of the problems facing this newer company could spell trouble. Lacking much of a general direction in terms of an “About Us” page, providing lists of ‘reviews’ that don’t seem to corroborate with the reviews attributed to outside sources, and providing little information on the origins of their products, Lovely Beards seems to offer a plethora of products but a deficit on information.
This guide seeks to rectify some of the mistakes made in the marketing platform provided by Lovely Beards. As of now, Lovely Beards offers seven options in the “Beard Oil” department. Consumers can browse reviews, ingredients, and descriptions for each one of the products via the “See More” page on their website.
The first on the list of beard oils the company offers is their “Black Pepper Beard Oil.” Boasting a respectable five stars from 25 reviewers, the product initially seems to be an informative and straight-forward way that consumers can make sure their beards look to be in tiptop shape.
However, this first product seems to be the best backdrop upon which we can examine some of the problems inherent to the Lovely Beards pitch. First, the nearly perfect reviews definitely conflict with reviews attributed to the same product from outside sources and consumers.
The Amazon page for the product reveals six reviews, amounting to a somewhat underwhelming 3.5 out of five stars.
Additionally, it seems as though almost everything surrounding the company’s product “descriptions” seem to be copied and pasted from product to product, with very little variation. For an example, compare the product description on the “Bourbon Beard Balm” to the description used on the aforementioned “Black Pepper Beard Oil.”
Consumers need to know that, though Lovely Beards does offer an above average option for beard care with somewhat positive reviews, the website used to host the products should not be the only source used in a determination of the value of their product-line.
Beard Balms
The story is largely the same for the company’s other line of products. Their Beard Balms, in both description and review, seem to match the Beard Oils almost word-for-word.
Painted initially with a five star rating on the Lovely Beards website, the company’s “Bourbon Beard Balm” was only gifted a rating of three out of five stars from eleven consumers on the product’s Amazon page.
More importantly to the potential consumer, these reviews were 27% one star reviews. Naturally, this difference in reviews doesn’t bode well for public perception on the products offered by Lovely Beards, nor the company itself.
However, an important consideration to make is that, on nearly every product offered by the company, the reviews still remain more positive than negative. While it is frighteningly common for companies to add a bit to the reviews included on their own website, the oils and balms offered by Lovely Beards still do garner a somewhat positive rating from a variety of outside sources.

The products offered by Lovely Beards are unfortunately afflicted by some issues created by the company. With a strong difference between the product reviews on their own site and on objective review sites like Amazon, unchanging product descriptions from product to product, and a general lack of information surrounding the company itself, Lovely Beards has taken a few steps that don’t help their case for providing an honest and helpful product for the modern beard.
However, the reviews allotted to the products made by the company still do offer a somewhat-positive perspective on their beard oils and balms, even if the prospects are not quite as positive as Lovely Beards initially outlined them to be.
