Good Shave – “Shave It Forward” Razors and Blades

Good Shave Review

Good Shave is a monthly razor delivery system that promises to help deliver the best shave of your life. Here’s our Good Shave review.

What is Good Shave?

Good Shave is a razor delivery system that wants to help you enjoy a better shave with razors that are cheaper than what you’d buy at the supermarket.

The razors also claim to be perfectly weighted without causing any bleeding or pulling on the face. They leave your face feeling smooth and bump free – at least, according to the manufacturer.

Based in Ontario, Canada, Good Shave delivers one razor to charity every time you order. So you can get a close shave with multi-blade razors while also feeling good about yourself.

The company’s social media pages are filled with images of employees delivering Good Shave razors to homeless shelters around the world.

How Does Good Shave Work?

Good Shave advertises a three step process for customers:

— Step 1) Place your order a choose a razor package that works for you

— Step 2) “Receive your sensational new razors and enjoy your new shave”

— Step 3) Good Shave will donate one razor on your behalf to a homeless shelter or food bank

The razor delivery system has been profiled on The Huffington Post and USA Today. Meanwhile, the company’s Instagram account features before and after pictures of homeless men who have recently received a new shave through the Good Shave charity program.

The razors are generally well-reviewed online. You get one replacement blade each week, and the blades have a four-blade design. In all our research online, we didn’t find anyone who called the blades cheap or uncomfortable: they were compared to high-end disposable razors you can buy from any supermarket.

Good Shave Pricing

Good Shave is available at three different rates, depending on whether you want to order razors for one month, 3 month, or 6 months into the future.

Here’s how pricing breaks down:

— 1 Month: $11.99
— 3 Months: $32.37
— 6 Months: $62.14

All packages let you order the razor(s) for a one time delivery, or you can choose to subscribe to receive the razors every month, 3 months, or 6 months.

Shipping is available to addresses across the United States and Canada.

When the razor package is described as lasting for 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months, it means that you get one “cutting edge designed razor” with four razor refills (one new razor refill per week).

The company claims its pricing is designed to be 50% cheaper than store-bought razors.

Also, if something happens to your Good Shave razor handle before you’re scheduled to receive a new one, Good Shave will replace it for free at any time. However, most customer reviews online describe the handle as well made and “substantial”.

What Do Customers Have to Say About Good Shave?

We know that Good Shave will deliver razors to your house every month and will donate razors to homeless men on your behalf.

But none of that really matters if the razors suck. So with that in mind, we took a look at some customer reviews online. Here’s what we found.

TheBaldNation.com described Good Shave as “well made and substantial” and claimed that “at no time of shaving did I lose control or felt like I was losing control”. That reviewer also praised the four blade razor, which has a comfort strip at the top and a roller at the bottom that prevents the razor from making total contact with the skin without taking away the close shave aspect of the razor. He also claimed that one cartridge was perfect for one week of shaving and that the razor was not noticeably dull by the end of the week.

HelloSubscription.com called the razor subscription program a “nice, practical subscription for men” and praised the razor for having a “great feel to it, with a much more substantial presence in hand than the typical disposable.” That reviewer also said that despite having a fairly thick beard, each razor in Good Shave easily lasted for a week, and the multi-shave design provided the close shave he needed.

About Good Shave

Good Shave was created by a guy named Mark Hurson. At the Good Shave About Us page on, GoodShave.com, you’ll read a nice story about how the company was founded:

“Our founder Mark Hurson was visiting his wife who donates her time at their local food bank. Mark was stunned when he discovered there were only 2 razors available for a town of 50,000 people. Volunteers at the foodbank explained that razors are a luxury item that most people could not afford to donate.”

The company believes that there’s a strong connection between personal grooming and one’s own self-esteem and dignity. By donating razors, the goal is to help homeless men get back on their feet and make a real difference in the world.

The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada at the following address:

243 Broadway
Orangeville Ontario
Canada L9W1K6
