What Are Fitmark Bags?
Fitmark Bags are athletic-style bags specially designed to fit various things you need for the gym – including supplements, shoes, and water bottles.
Fitmark separates its lineup into five different product categories, including:
— Meal Management
— Backpacks
— Tote Bags
— Messenger Bags
— Duffel Bags
Fitmark describes itself like this:
We have a singular goal: to fill the void that exists between high performance athletes and their bags. Whether at the gym or on the town, our exclusive global bag and luggage brand fills this void by bringing quality and function to your fitness lifestyle.
If you’ve ever struggled to fit supplements, shoes, and workout equipment into a standard-sized backpack or duffel bag, then Fitmark Bags could be the right option for you.
Fitmark Bags was founded in 2011 by CEO Mark A. Samuel. Mark Samuel founded his first company at the age of 23 and according to one recent article, Fitmark Bags is his ninth and biggest venture.
Fitmark Bags are currently sold in 25 countries around the world. The company is based in San Francisco, California.
Fitmark Bag Lineup
As mentioned above, Fitmark separates its products into several different categories, including Backpacks, Tote Bags, Messenger Bags, Duffel Bags, Diet & Meal Management Bags, and “Extras”. Here’s a basic description of each bag:
Backpacks
Backpacks range in price from $70 for the Endurance Backpack to $126 for the Class. Backpacks feature multiple zippered pockets and specialized carrying cases. The Transporter backpack ($100), for example, has a water bottle holder along the side and a small Tupperware holder on the bottom designed to keep your food containers upright and stable while walking.
Tote Bags
Tote Bags are arguably the most stylish and fashionable category of Fitmark Bags. Tote Bags come in four different styles: Dashing, Sport, Namaste, and Agility. The Namaste Tote is specially designed to carry a rolled up yoga mat; the Dashing Tote is built like an extra-durable purse; and the Sport Tote and Agility Tote are both designed to carry fitness equipment and your other daily needs. Prices range from $59.99 to $149.99.
Messenger Bags
There are two types of Messenger Bags: the Race and Freestyle. The Freestyle retails for $70, while the Race is priced at $90. There are mesh water bottle holders, a convenient handle along the top, and a shoulder strap on the Race Messenger. Both bags also contain a laptop holder.
Duffel Bags
The Fitmark Duffel Bags aim to offer a new take on the conventional duffel design. They range in price from $70 to $100 and feature backpack straps, food containers, and multiple zippered compartments.
Meal Management Bags
Serious athletes are careful about what they eat – and that means taking your food and supplements on-the-go with you all day long. Fitmark’s Meal Management Bags come with their own sealable food containers. Each container is specially designed to fit easily within the bag. Some bags fit up to 4 containers stacked on top of one another, which should keep you going from breakfast to lunch to dinner. There’s a water bottle holder along the side, and bags come in duffel, backpack, purse, and tote bag form. If you need to take your protein shakes and foods with you wherever you go, then Fitmark’s Meal Management Bags can be a lifesaver.
Extras
Fitmark’s extra products include extra sealable containers, shaker bottles, and ice parks. There’s also a standard Drawstring Backpack for $14.99, a Fitmark hat for $24.99 and a $9.99 laundry bag.
Fitmark was founded as a way for gym enthusiasts to efficiently, comfortably, and securely carry around their possessions. If you’re sick of cramming meals, shoes, clothes, and a laptop into your small-sized backpack or overcrowded duffel bag, then Fitmark may be the best way to separate your possessions into different categories and keep them safe from the office to the gym.
I bought one of these bags a few months ago, the “the Shield”. Overall I say it’s pretty meh. The meal containers were smaller than I’d hoped, and fit well, but it won’t be compatible with anyone else’s containers as they are an odd size. The bag’s kind of bulky and fraying around the zipper. I’m not gentile with my gym bag, but I never had this issue with an UnderArmour bag. Suggestion, just get a normal gym bag and toss your boxes in a plastic shopping bag. The hard side target meal boxes are the same and better sizes.
