Dimethylglycine Review

Dimethylglycine, also known as DMG, is an amino acid found in small amounts throughout the body. Today, dimethylglycine is used primarily in nutritional supplements and medicine.

Find out everything you need to know about Dimethylglycine today in our DMG review!

What is Dimethylglycine?

Dimethylglycine is a derivative of an amino acid called glycine. It has the structural formula (CH3)2NCH2COOH and is also known as DMG.

As an amino acid, dimethylglycine is a building block for protein. Interestingly enough, it only appears in the body for seconds at a time.

Today, you can buy DMG supplements and medicines from many pharmacies and drugstores.

Health Benefits of Dimethylglycine

DMG supplements are used to treat a wide variety of illnesses and health problems, including ADHD, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, allergies, respiratory disorders, pain and swelling, cancer, alcoholism, and drug addiction.

The body makes DMG inside the liver. But as the body ages, we make less and less DMG – despite the fact that DMG is a critical component of every cell in the human body.

When dimethylglycine was first discovered in Russia, it was known as vitamin B-15. Researchers synthesized DMG as a way to reverse the effects of aging in cosmonauts: cosmonauts sent into space were exposed to high levels of ionizing radiation. After using DMG prior to space travel, cosmonauts reportedly displayed no aging effects

It can also be used to improve speech and behavior in autism sufferers. New reports have suggested that dimethylglycine can even boost athletic functionality.

Dimethylglycine made headlines back in the 1980s, when a federal court in Chicago banned the interstate sale of a particular brand of dimethylglycine. That court declared that DMG was an unsafe food additive and it was banned throughout the United States.

Then, in 1994, Congress passed the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, or DSHEA. This caused vitamin b-15 and most other dietary supplements to fall into a sort of “grey area” of regulation: since dimethylglycine is neither a food nor a drug, it cannot be mandated by the FDA.

Today, dimethylglycine is making headlines for new reasons. A wide range of pharmaceutical companies now sell DMG supplements online and in-store. New research has linked DMG to powerful anti-aging benefits, and the public is starting to take note.

How Does Dimethylglycine Work?

DMG has been studied for over 40 years. Despite all that research, researcher don’t fully understand the mechanisms of DMG. Most research, however, indicates that DMG improves the immune system in some way or another.

One of the most important studies on DMG was conducted in 1990, where DMG was found to increase antibody production by more than 400%. The amino acid stimulated all branches of the immune system. Researchers were particularly impressed by the way DMG acted as a nontoxic metabolite.

How to Buy DMG

There are thousands of DMG fans across America. Almost all of these fans are worried that the FDA will once again decide to ban the “miracle compound.” Some of these people have even gone so far as to stockpile DMG in their homes – just in case it gets banned again.

Want to buy DMG?

It’s not as hard as you think.

You can find DMG on Amazon, eBay, and many other retailers both offline and online.

The only hard part is finding a good source of DMG. There are dozens of different manufacturers. No DMG supplements are regulated by the FDA. This makes it extremely difficult for consumers to identify which DMG supplement is best for their needs.

Should You Take DMG?

Instead of recommending a specific DMG supplement, I’ll simply recommend the importance of doing your research. Pick a company that has a reliable track record of producing honest, transparently-labeled nutritional supplements.

There are many manufacturers online which refuse to disclose ingredient lists or hide low-quality, dangerous ingredients within proprietary formulas.

Avoid these companies and choose companies which are genuinely dedicated to improving your health with high-quality dimethylglycine.

  1. Hi – can you tell me what the effect you had was ?

I took DMG for 10 years of my ‘almost' professional atheletic life.

I had no adverse effects, but I did also have a balanced blend of amino's and precursors to help me.

  2. I used DMG ten years ago and it had a really bad adverse affect on my legs. I have been in pain for the last ten years and there is not end in sight. Do not take it!
    Do not believe these adds.
