CB-1 Weight Gainer Review
CB-1 Weight Gainer is a natural pill that promises to help women, men, and seniors gain weight in a safe and effective way.
Find out how CB-1 Weight Gainer works today in our comprehensive review.
What is CB-1 Weight Gainer?
CB-1 Weight Gainer is a weight gainer supplement. While most of the diet pill industry online focuses on weight loss, there’s a smaller market for weight gaining pills.
Some people have trouble gaining weight. They may have a fast metabolism or just a weak appetite, for example. These people could feel sensitive about their weight, so they take a weight gaining supplement.
CB-1 Weight Gainer claims to work by using “natural herbs, vitamins, and minerals.” It doesn’t contain drugs or other harmful ingredients. It’s also priced at around $60 per month.
Who Makes CB-1 Weight Gainer?
CB-1 Weight Gainer is made by a company called Supragenix (Supragenix.com). That company is located at 774 North 1200 West in Orem, Utah.
Supragenix describes itself as a manufacturer of “market-leading dietary supplements.” The company was founded by 2010. CB-1 is the company’s flagship product. Currently, Supragenix does not appear to manufacture any other dietary supplements.
How Does CB-1 Weight Gainer Work?
Supragenix claims that gaining weight with CB-1 Weight Gainer is easy. All you need to do is follow a three step process:
Step 1) Take CB-1 Weight Gainer 30 to 60 minutes before each meal to increase your appetite.
Step 2) Follow the CB-1 Weight Gain Guidebook, which is included with every order. That Guidebook contains “valuable tips and advice” for gaining weight.
Step 3) “Gain Weight”
CB-1 Weight Gainer Ingredients
CB-1 Weight Gainer lists all of the following ingredients in its formula:
CB-1 Weight Gainer claims to contain “no steroids, drugs, or other dangerous ingredients.” It also calls itself a safe and natural product – although it’s obvious that most of the formulas listed above are synthetically derived.
The key power behind CB-1 Weight Gainer lies in its isobutylamides. They make up the vast majority of ingredients in the Maximum Strength Weight Gain Blend CB-1 proprietary formula. Essentially, isobutylamides are carbohydrate formulas. Carbs are an effective way to gain weight, so by adding concentrated carbohydrate formulas to their diet, users can expect to maximize their weight gain.

How to Use CB-1 Weight Gainer
Each monthly package of CB-1 Weight Gainer comes with 90 capsules. You take one capsule 30 to 60 minutes before every meal. If you’re eating 3 meals per day, then you’ll use an entire package in 30 days.
Clinical Evidence for CB-1 Weight Gainer
CB-1 Weight Gainer has not been studied in any independent scientific studies. The manufacturer, Supragenix, however, claims that the weight gainer was subjected to a clinical study.
Here’s how that clinical study worked out:
— The clinical study lasted 8 weeks
— Subjects gained an average of 3.0 pounds more than a placebo group after taking CB-1 Weight Gainer for 4 weeks.
— During an additional 4 weeks of follow-up research, after CB-1 usage was discontinued, Supragenix claims that subjects “maintained the weight they had gained.”
There are a few obvious problems with this clinical study. First, Supragenix doesn’t list any further details about this study – it doesn’t explain how many subjects were involved. More worryingly, it doesn’t list the average weight gain. It just explains that the subjects who took CB-1 Weight Gainer gained 3 pounds more than the placebo group.
If both groups gained 10 to 15 pounds during a 4 week period, then that 3 pounds of extra weight gain doesn’t seem like a lot. Did Supragenix hide this information on purpose?
Since Supragenix doesn’t publish any further details about this clinical study online, it’s difficult to verify its claims.
CB-1 Weight Gainer Side Effects
CB-1 Weight Gainer claims that it doesn’t have any side effects. It claims to use an all-natural formula safe for men, women, and children to use. Here’s what the manufacturer, Supragenix, has to say about using the supplement:
“CB-1 has a gentle, all-natural formula that's safe for people of all ages. CB-1 can even be used by children who are old enough to swallow a capsule.”
The weight gainer supplement also has no known drug interactions. The manufacturer claims it is “not addictive or habit forming” and anyone can “easily stop taking CB-1” once they reach their weight gain goals.
National Advertising Division Warning
In October 2013, the National Advertising Division (NAD) issued a warning to Supragenix to cease certain claims on its advertisements for CB-1 – including advertisements seen on both television and the internet.
NAD is a division of the Better Business Bureau. An NAD warning isn’t as serious as an FDA warning – although the FDA doesn’t regulate nutritional supplements like CB-1, which usually leaves such advertisements in a grey area of regulation.
In any case, here’s what NAD had to say about CB-1 Weight Gainer:
“The National Advertising Division has recommended that Supragenix, LLC, discontinue certain advertising claims for the company’s “CB-1 Weight Gainer” dietary supplement, including claims that “CB-1 produces an actual increase in body mass that you keep when you stop taking it, not just temporary water weight.”
NAD asked Supragenix to provide evidence to substantiate these claims. Supragenix refused. That’s why CB-1 Weight Gainer made headlines in 2013.
Essentially, NAD argues that the CB-1 Weight Gainer formula simply forces your body to hold more water than normal, which increases your short-term weight without providing long-term weight gain benefits.
Who Should Use CB-1 Weight Gainer?
CB-1 Weight Gainer is a pricey weight gaining supplement that offers little evidence behind its weight gain claims. Other supplements – including weight gaining protein powders – appear to work more effectively and offer better weight gain results at a price lower than $60 per month.
Despite the lack of evidence, some people may be interested in using CB-1 Weight Gainer to boost their appetite. When taken 30 to 60 minutes before each meal, the manufacturer claims users will eat more during that meal.
If you’re taking CB-1 Weight Gainer to boost your long-term weight, however, then you may be disappointed by the results. The CB-1 Weight Gainer formula appears to work by instructing your body to hold onto more water weight, which thus leads to short-term weight gain without long-term results.
Made me horrifically break out in hives after a few days of use, red all over my body. After a trip to the hospital and showing the pills to the doctor he decided these were the cause of the break out. Please beware before taking these!
Complete scam, do you really think a pill can make you gain weight magically? Their claim is that you’ll somehow eat more food as a result of taking this pill which is complete quackery. Save your money and use methods that work to gain weight like weight training and knowing your macros.
No it’s such a scam and waste of money, they say it makes you more hungry. The pill doesn’t even do that and if it did, you’d be gaining weight just because you eat more. Stupid.
your stupid because it says exactly that . it says to take it before to eat to increase your appetite . there for eat more and gain weight .
