As I stated earlier, the single blade razor fad has come back big time. You can see this boom for yourself by doing a simple search on marketplaces like Amazon and eBay for single bladed safety razors. You will actually find a lot of razors that offer the same features (such as the extended handle) as the Atomic Blade, but they end up costing you more. Some of Atomic Blade’s closest competitors sell their razors for upwards of 30 dollars (for just one razor, mind you). However, some other competitors do sell their razors for a lower price than the Atomic Blade and based on the customer reviews, they are not poorly made products.
One such competitor costs only about 15 USD and has the same elongated handle and butterfly opening design to replace the blade. However, it does not have the stub on its handle that lets you adjust the angle of the blade, which makes the extra 5 USD spent on the Atomic Blade more than worth it.

Atomic Blade Conclusion
As I stated right above, I strongly recommend this razor. Others might feel differently because everybody has their own preference when it comes to shaving. Many will love the elongated the handle as it will make it easier for them to shave. However, others might not like the long handle and actually have a harder time shaving with it.
Something odd that the makers claim is that you can use the Atomic Blade razor without shaving foam. This is odd because every single advertisement they use shows the person using shaving foam. It seems like an odd claim to make when your advertisements show the exact opposite. I have shaved with and without shaving foam and I can tell you that my experience was much better when I used foam.
Another thing that strikes me as odd is that the makers of the Atomic Blade claim that the product has been discontinued. Whenever I got in contact with their customer service about this I would get the same message that the product was discontinued. That said, the product is still being sold. The fact that it is discontinued may make it hard to buy additional replacement blades without buying a whole new razor.
One final thing that might turn people off is that the Atomic Blade does not disclose how much it weighs. Many people I know care quite a bit about how heavy their razor is, as it can have a profound effect on their shave. However, the 30 day risk free trial should mitigate this issue as you would be able to return it for a full refund if the weight is not to your liking.
Does the Atomic Blade razor offer a nice clean and close shave? Considering its design and all of the customer reviews for it, I would say so.
