Modalert 200

Modalert 200 Review

Modalert 200 is a nootropic supplement created by Sun Pharmaceuticals that uses the active ingredient modafinil. Here’s what you need to know about the generic version of modafinil.

What is Modalert 200?

Modalert 200 is a generic, labeled version of the popular nootropic drug known as Modafinil. If you’ve never heard of Modalert 200, then that’s okay: the drug is primarily sold in India.

Thanks to the internet, however, Indian pharmacies are now selling the drugs online in 100mg and 200mg tablets. Nootropic users prefer Modalert 200 because they can avoid the high costs of Provigil (which can cost as much as $50 for each individual pill without insurance coverage).

Modalert is available in 100mg and 200mg varieties. As you may have guessed, the 200mg version of Modalert is called Modalert 200. That’s typically the most popular version because it’s more powerful.

Today, Modalert is arguably the most popular version of generic modafinil.

How Does Modalert 200 Work?

Modalert is typically used to boost memory, learning, cognition, and other mental processes.

The drug modafinil was initially created to treat sleep disorders like narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorders. Today, the only way you’ll typically receive a modafinil prescription is if you suffer from one of those two disorders. Otherwise, you’ll likely have to order it online.

Modalert, like modafinil, has a number of methods of action. Not all of these actions are fully understood. Researchers are sure that it does work – they’re just not sure how exactly it works.

We know that modafinil is effective at crossing the blood-brain barrier, at which point it enters the central nervous system. After entering the central nervous system, it acts on the dopamine transporter and inhibits the reuptake of dopamine. Dopamine is the “feel-good” neurotransmitter that gets activated when we eat good food, have sex, or exercise. Some people claim this is why modafinil increases their motivation.

At the same time, modafinil and Modalert have been shown to influence histamine levels in the brain. This can promote increased wakefulness during the day and is the primary effect of Modalert.

This is where Modalert’s mechanisms get confusing: researchers believe that Modalert affects numerous other neurotransmitters and systems in the brain, but they’re not really sure how or why. Those affected systems include norepinephrine, serotonin, and the orexin systems.

Finally, Modalert also acts as an antioxidant.

It’s important to remember that modafinil was never approved by the FDA for the treatment of ADHD. So if you’re taking modafinil to boost focus, then you may be disappointed. If you’re taking it to boost alertness and mental energy, however, then you’ll experience better results.

Benefits of Modalert

In America, Modalert is used to treat narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorders. Doctors typically do not prescribe modafinil for any other conditions (although the FDA legally allows them to).

The FDA does not, however allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise any other benefits of modafinil aside from sleep disorder benefits.

Nevertheless, Modalert is used for a wide variety of off-label purposes, including as a cognitive enhancer or nootropic. Here are some of the most popular benefits associated with Modalert and modafinil today:

Improves Memory And Is Especially Beneficial For Short-term Or Working Memory
— Improves Learning Capacity And Recall
— Lengthens Attention Spans And Increases Focus And Concentration
— Enhance Productivity Among Students And Busy Professionals
— Potential Weight Loss Benefits

The weight loss benefits of modafinil only popped up on the internet recently. Many Modalert users claim that they experienced an accelerated rate of fat burning when taking Modalert. At the same time, they noticed that their appetite was diminished. However, Modalert does not act as a stimulant like caffeine, so don’t expect powerful thermogenic benefits.

How to Use Modalert

The most common Modalert dosages are between 100mg and 400mg. The capsules come in pre-built dosages of 100mg and 200mg, and the 200mg formula is the most popular.

Experiment with doses to find the right dose for you. Some people love Modalert because it has a long half-life (some people claim the effects last for 15 hours). So if you’re planning to get some sleep at night, you might want to take Modalert early in the day. You should avoid taking Modalert any time after noon – after all, the drug is originally intended as a treatment for narcolepsy.

Modalert Side Effects

Modalert side effects become more noticeable at higher dosages. Some of the reported side effects of Modalert include all of the following:

Headaches, congestion, stomach problems, diarrhea, back pain, sleeplessness, drowsiness, nervousness, nausea, and dizziness.

Some people have more serious reactions to Modalert (including allergic reactions). Those reactions can include all of the following:

Mouth sores, hives, rashes, peeled or blistering skin, fever, difficulty swallowing, swollen face, mouth, eyes, lips, and legs, and shortness of breath.

Many Modalert users recommend cycling on and off the nootropic to mitigate these effects and give your body time to “reset”.

How to Buy Modalert

Sun Pharma Modalert is relatively difficult to find online. You’ll have an easier time trying to find the more popular versions of modafinil called Nuvigil and Provigil, both of which are extremely expensive.

The only major retailer that appears to sell Modalert is a website called ModafinilCat.com. That website lets you buy Modalert 200mg capsules from Sun Pharma or other popular versions like Modvigil (made by HAB Pharma) and Waklert (also made by Sun Pharma).

You can order Modalert in all of the following quantities:

— 40 Pills: $80 or $2 per pill
— 80 Pills: $143 or $1.79 per pill
— 100 Pills: $156 or $1.56 per pill
— 200 Pills: $232 or $1.16 per pill
— 300 Pills: $313 or $1.04 per pill

Buying Modalert online involves working with the “grey market”. Depending on your country’s laws, you might not be allowed to use modafinil without a prescription. So buyer beware.

A warning about ModafinilCat: some users claim that the site is an elaborate scam. The site advertises numerous reviews on Reddit (there’s even a subreddit called ModafinilCat). However, many of those reviews come from people who have never posted on Reddit before. Said one verified user:

“I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting.”

Nevertheless, other users argue that these posters create brand new accounts because they don’t want to get in trouble for advertising their knowledge of Modalert sources online lest they get in trouble with the law.

Like I said, buyer beware. Finding a good Modalert source online isn’t easy, and ModafinilCat seems too good to be true.

Who Makes Modalert?

  1. James, I have made several orders from them from Australia and received them within 10 days. The tracking is through Australia Post as well as their own system. I have used Provigil so I can say that Modalert is a good generic. For those who cant afford to buy the medication prescribed for them at home, modafinilcat is a good option and they are not scammers.

  2. I have a ongoing prescription from my doctor for Modafinil. Purchased brand name Modafinil from the local pharmacy and used it for 3 months. It was great and helped with tiredness from sleep apnea. The major issue was cost.

I spent some time looking for a overseas supplier and eventually settled on the one mentioned in this write up. That was over 1 1/2 yrs ago now. For 95% of that time, I have been taking what I order through ModafinilCat. I have also tried switching back to the brand name Modafinil 3 times to see if there is any difference between the generic and brand name. I have not noticed a single difference in the effects of the 2. I have made 6 separate purchases, received all 6 and the product has worked EXACTLY the same as the brand name from the local pharmacy.

The BIG difference is the PRICE. Its 1/10th the price to get the generics. I have saved a small fortune by buying and using these generics. I have told my doctor that I now buy them overseas, what brand and the price. I still get a prescription printed out for me so that if its ever stopped by customs I can show that I’m legally importing them for my own use.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about ModafinilCat. They send what they advertise, their prices are great, I can’t find a difference in their product compared to the brand name. Shipping will be usually from 7-21 days. They are the ONLY company I have purchased from and it is the ONLY company I will keep buying from in the future as long as they keep open for business.

I’m not sure why there are people bad mouthing them but most of the bad posts will be light on content with little actual follow up.
If you read through most comments in threads where people are worried, its usually at a early stage in the delivery process and people are just nervous about the possibility of loosing their money and are freaking out for no real reason. Those that actually update their initial freak out will often report back that the package arrived and all was good. I’ve had 1 order arrive in 7 days from the day I ordered which was lightening quick, another time it took 25 days but it arrived and all was good. The expected postage times that are quoted are ESTIMATIONS. There are factors that might speed up or delay the delivery time (Local holidays, labor strikes, natural disaster…) . Be patient. If it starts getting towards 30days , contact their customer service politely and see whats going on. They have a resend policy for a reason, its there to ensure customers have a good experience and come back as a repeat customer. The only time I’ve personally talked to customer service so far is when they email ME to ask if it all arrived and I was happy with it all.

If your really worried about loosing money (on any internet transaction), pay by credit card. Most credit cards provided by major banks now cover YOU for fraudulent transactions. This means that the credit card provider will reimburse YOU and then they will chase the other party for the money back.

For me, I have not had a single issue with their service or their product. Its saved me a small fortune and I notice no difference compared to the brand name tablets I get from the local pharmacy.

  3. This stuff is horrible. It will literally make you terrified of people, extremely panicky, lose weight, not be able to sleep, socially awkward, and uncomfortable in your skin. Info not recommend this to ANYONE! It is not a super drug, it’s a super handycap. These people are only trying to profit from you. Just put your foot in your ass, get with it, and achieve your goals in your own!

  4. 3rd time ordering from Modafinilcat. The longest delivery took 8 days. Shortest delivery took 3 days. Don’t worry about them being flagged by Customs because Modafinil is not a schedule II like Ritalin etc. Besides, each package comes with different sender on the tag. We buy this for my daughter who has ADD (no hyperactivity) but she couldn’t stand the side effects of Ritalin, so the doc decided to try her on Modafinil and its been miraculous. We got a prescription and bought the real Provigil for $80 per month equal to $240 for 3 months. Chose to order generic Modalert from India where $240 buys enough for almost 7 months. I hope MCat continues to sell. My daughter has passed exams for the first time ever since taking it.

  5. Sometimes it may take a bit longer than 2 weeks but your given a heads up about customs. They do guarantee a refund if your package is seized but reliable, is an understatement. Just because it comes from the Middle East doesn’t mean s**t. The company is reputable and product is 100% great, makes your pee stink, lol but lots of ???? water, more so while taking the pills for your rejuvenation.

  6. That company you mentioned is fine. between 4 of us, we have placed over 30 orders, each time it has arrived within 2 weeks, product is legit, even get discounts for repeat orders, not sure where you got the “warning” from, but it’s the real deal. FYI, they can do free shipping because they order so much of the product that they basically end up paying only a few cents per pill, so by reselling at $2 per pill, they are making huge profits. They are actually the only supplier I trust.

  7. I just ordered from that same company you speak of. Today is 3-11-16. I will report back with what the outcome is.

    “T”

  8. First off I would rather you don’t post my comments because I don’t want to bring attention to the company I’m referencing because it could place them on the target list for order interception at customs. I’ve even asked the company why I found them by accident and why they are not mentioned in the few Overseas Pharmacies Websites I visit and I willingly said I’d mention them if they want. Although they communicated with me honestly about everything they did not comment on my offer. I too felt the comments on the Redditt were too good to be true and mentioned that to the vendor after receiving my first order. In facts due to those comments I put off ordering from them for many months. I’m now a major fan. First off they are have great tracking system sending daily updates. Great prices and speedy delivery but here is a kicker. My last order was tracked to be in my little city in California and out for delivery. After that the USPS never updated tracking but did count each day without updates. After 5 days I emailed ModafinilCat and without question or request from me they sent another which I got less than two weeks later. What can I say? I didn’t even request a refund or reship since it’s the fault of my local post office. Again, I don’t want to bring attention to this vendor but you hit a cord with me when you said “Too good to be true” because it is and is. Thank you for your time

    • Very VERY interesting…you post a comment – but “would rather you don’t post my comments because I don’t want to bring attention to the company”…just that and your comment should get off EVERY SINGLE ALARM BELL possible. This company is indeed scamming those that pay. First the product is in the Cat Island, then ‘mysteriously’ in Mumbai (of course, that’s where the production facility is…) then it moves to the center of India for no apparent reason…because of course Mumbai, as one of the most important cities in India *SARCASM ON* does not have the means to ship parcels of any size to anywhere in the world *SARCAM OFF*, and they will have to transport it across India by – whatever means…They will give you a EMS tracking number as well, which never really registers – because of course it doesn’t exist…You do get a notice with THEIR OWN tracking system, that “Your parcel has been awaiting updates for a day while it’s transiting to the destination, which is perfectly normal.”…yeah right…ever ordered anything with ANY other service and get a notice like that? Nope. It’s just to draw out time, nothing else. Then there are other delay messages to keep you inactive. Then apparently they will send you another package, of course that also gets delayed, and in the meantime your money is gone, or like in my case, they will try to re charge your credit card.
You can order as much or little as you like, you will never get that money back. Refund?? LOL, yeah sure.

And funnily enough – everywhere the reviews are the same…It’s always that the company has a “great reputation”…based on what, some internet reviews?? lol. It’s ALWAYS the same, handful of people, and it’s always the same tone, just like above. Regular updates, oh I don’t want to call attention to the company, explaination as to why they have low prices (why would an apparent customer even go out and talk about WHY a company can sell cheap? Because they buy so much…Please – how do you know how much they buy??), passing exams (of course the fact that the health insurance picks up the bill for Provigil we’ll just leave out…).

Every normal person will have a gut feeling, I had one as well. I read through all the reviews, and there was always something weird about how they were written – I still went and bought it, I went through the whole process of delays, apparent reoders, tracking broken, system down, supplier slow, but at no time could they prove an actual sending oder with EMS or any other shipper. Only ‘their’ tracking system…

You WILL loose your money, that is all that they will guarantee to you.
