Total Choice Customized Meal Plans
On Thursday, January 29, The Dr. Oz Show aired an episode called “The Total Choice: Customized Meal Plans for Weight Loss.”
The episode was part of a series on the “Total 10” diet. In the weeks leading up to the episode, Dr. Oz has talked about his Total 10 Diet, Total 10 Maintenance Plan, and all sorts of other weight loss tips and tricks.
In this latest episode, Dr. Oz described customized meal plans that give dieters choice over what they eat while still maximizing health benefits.
What is Total Choice?
Total Choice is a brand new program designed to help anyone lose weight without thinking about it. Here’s how Dr. Oz describes Total Choice:
“Total Choice is designed to be hassle-free. With 100s of meal options, you can’t make a mistake on this plan. No matter which meals you choose, they will always add up to your perfect calorie day. See how easy it is to eat your way to weight loss success.”
In other words, Total Choice is a collection of recipes, meal plans, and foods anyone can eat in order to achieve their weight loss goals. The meals all have similar numbers of calories and nutrient profiles.
That means, as Dr. Oz explains, that it’s “impossible to make a mistake.”
Of course, it’s not really impossible to make a mistake. You’ll still need to pick meals from the list of available breakfast, lunch, and dinner lists. You can’t have a “dinner” meal for breakfast and lunch and expect your calorie profile to add up.
Total Choice Customized Meal Plans for Weight Loss
The Total Choice Customized Meal Plans for Weight Loss will likely include many of the same meals found on the Dr. Oz list of Total 10 recipes.
The Total 10 diet, for those who don’t know, eliminates wheat, artificial sweeteners, white sugar, alcohol, processed foods, and dairy (except for Greek yogurt). It’s called Total 10 because it’s meant to make anybody feel like a “Total 10” after just 10 days.
Depending on which interview you watch, Dr. Oz also claims to call it the Total 10 plan because dieters lose an average of 10 pounds after 2 weeks of following the diet.
In any case, here are some sample recipes and meals you can expect from the Total Choice Customized Meal Plans for Weight Loss:
— Total 10 Crispy Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower: Cauliflower broken into small florets mixed with lemon, hot sauce, paprika, and salt. Marinate the cauliflower and let it sit before serving.
— Total 10 Buffalo Dipping Sauce: Made from Greek yogurt, stevia, lemon juice, and hot sauce.
— Total 10 Turkey Chili: The full recipe can be found here, but it’s ground turkey mixed with beans, spices, and vegetables.
— Total 10 Italian Bowl: Ground turkey mixed with zucchini noodles, tomatoes, spices, and vegetables to create a nutritious protein-rich dish.
— And more: Total 10 – and Total Choice as well – both feature a surprisingly diverse range of protein dishes, smoothies, snacks, and soups.
Should You Start the Total Choice Customized Meal Plans for Weight Loss?
Dr. Oz’s new “Total” diet systems are generating huge publicity for The Dr. Oz Show. After testing the program on hundreds of thousands of women in 2014, Dr. Oz is confident that his new weight loss program will help anyone lose weight.
The program is based on simple dietary principles and features a similarly simple list of recipes. It’s easier to follow than most other diets. You can even eat as much as you want – provided what “you want” is this vegetable broth recipe.
