The Smartband F1 is a revolutionary new fitness tracker made by Chinese company No.1. Find out everything you need to know about this upcoming fitness tracker today in our review.
What is the Smartband F1?
The Smartband F1 is an upcoming fitness tracker made by No.1, one of China’s largest electronics manufacturers. It’s the Shenzhen-based company’s first foray into the fitness tracker market. They were likely inspired by their main competitor, Xiaomi, which recently released its popular Mi Band 2 fitness tracker.
The Smartband F1 is already making headlines across the internet for its tech specs and anticipated feature list. It has all of the basic functions you expect on a fitness tracker – like activity tracking – but also has unique features like a ridiculously powerful battery (capable of staying on for 100 days in standby mode).
These and other features have made the Smartband F1 a key item to watch in the ultra-competitive fitness tracker world.
Smartband F1 Features
Some of the key features on the Smartband F1 include:
-A very large battery (by fitness tracker standards), with an unprecedented 100 days of battery life on standby mode (for comparison, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 “only” offers 20 days of standby mode per charge). The battery is a 230mAh large capacity polymer. Oh, and did we mention it takes only one hour to charge it from 0 to 100%?
-Water-resistant to 50 meters (IP68 protection). The Smartband F1 can be submerged to a greater depth than its main Chinese competitor, the Mi Band 2 (which is actually only splash proof). We have, however, seen other fitness trackers offer waterproofing up to 50 meters, so it’s not a totally groundbreaking feature.
-Dynamic heart rate monitor, which will track your heart rate constantly instead of on-demand like other fitness trackers. The Mi Band 2, for example, only has a static heart rate monitor.
-7 days of storage capacity. One of the frustrating parts of some activity trackers is their lack of storage space. Some trackers only store 24 to 48 hours of fitness activity, for example, before dumping all that data to your cloud account or an app on your phone. The Smartband F1, on the other hand, will be able to store 7 days of fitness data.
-Android and iOS support, including an accompanying smartphone app for both. The app will give you a detailed breakdown of your fitness data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
-Three colors available, including “Gentleman Black”, “Charm Purple”, and “Deep Sea Blue”
-Smart bracelet that will vibrate when receiving notifications from the phone – so even if you’re in a noisy outdoor environment, you’ll never miss a beat
-0.91” AMOLED display
-Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity
Smartband F1 Pricing
There’s no word yet on the Smartband F1’s pricing.
However, some expect it to be priced relatively close to the Xiaomi MI Band 2, which is priced at around $50 to $60 USD.
However, based on the tech specs, and the fact that the Smartband F1 is water-resistant down to 50 meters, I expect it to be priced closer to the $100 to $150 range. Continuous heart rate monitoring also tends to lead to more expensive devices.
Smartband F1 Release Date
There’s no word yet on the Smartband F1’s release date. The only reason we even know about this fitness tracker is that news leaked the company was working on it. some early images have also leaked, along with some tech specs. However, we don’t know anything about the release date.
Based on the fact that working models have already appeared online, it seems likely that the Smartband F1 will launch before Summer 2017. Our money is on a Q1 2017 release date for the Smartband F1.

Should You Buy the Smartband F1?
Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi have been winning fans in the smartphone, smartwatch, and fitness tracker industries thanks to their low price points and great feature sets. Chinese manufacturer No.1 aims to bring a similar approach to the fitness tracker industry with its Smartband F1. If they can offer a good price point on a fitness tracker with a large screen, Bluetooth connectivity, comprehensive fitness tracking, water-resistance, and ridiculously long battery life, then the Smartband F1 could be a smash hit in the market place.
