Who Makes Shine Organics?
Shine Organics is a subsidiary of Happy Family Organics, a premium organic food company founded by Shazi Visram in 2006 with the goal of providing healthy, organically-made baby food. Since its inception, Happy Family has branched out from organic infant and newborn foods to foods for toddlers, children, and parents (especially pregnant and nursing mothers).

Prices will fluctuate depending on retailer, but a 16-pack of Shine Organics pouches typically retails for around $27.
Shine Organics Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?
Shine Organics doesn’t have an extensive review history on Amazon, as each of the company’s flavors only have around 8-12 reviews each. So far, these products have ratings that go from 3.6 out of 5 stars at the lowest to 4.4 out of 5 stars at the highest, but with so few reviews each it’s hard to establish any sort of baseline.
Pros:
- Delicious Flavor – It’s almost unanimous across all different flavors: reviewers say the taste of each of these products is quite delicious, though sometimes the texture can take some getting used to.
- Healthy Snacking – Health food fanatics love these snacks, as they’re organic, non-GMO, gluten free, vegan, and come shipped in pouches made with non-BPA materials.
- High Nutritional Value – The nutritional content in these snacks is high, providing good amounts of antioxidants, Omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals.
- Popular with Parents – Parents particularly like Shine Organics, as they’re a great way to ensure their children incorporate fruits and vegetables in their diet in an easy and delicious way.
Cons:
- High Sugar Content – While the products are high in fiber as well as vitamins and minerals, these can be rather high in sugar. Diabetics or other individuals looking to watch their sugar intake may find these snacks inappropriate or counter to their weight loss goals.
- Highly Overpriced – The main complaint we’ve experienced is that these products are quite overpriced, making it a premium snack product that most people wouldn’t be able to afford regularly.
Should You Buy Shine Organics?
By all accounts, Shine Organics is a delicious way to snack, especially since the ingredients in each pouch are organic, all-natural, and a great source of nutritional value.
However, the price of a carton of Shine Organics pouches is exorbitantly high. Even if you manage to get them at a discount, you’re likely to pay anywhere between $20 to $25 for just 16 pouches, making them a poor choice for anyone on a budget or who wants to enjoy these snacks regularly. This is bad news for low-income families looking for healthy snacks for their kids.
This high price is typical of organic foods, as the cost of producing ingredients that meet organic certification is higher than most other non-organic food sources. Sadly, this makes it more expensive to eat healthy. However, if you have the wherewithal to afford Shine Organics snack foods regularly, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a higher quality (or better-tasting) product.
