What that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the ingredients and formulas inside Shape Shifter.
Shape Shifter Ingredients
Shape Shifter uses a mix of trendy supplements and formulas to achieve its desired effects. Each serving of Shape Shifter comes with 350mg of citrus aurantium, for example, along with 400mg of green tea extract, 100mg of guarana extract (with 10% caffeine), and 100mg of red pepper extract.
Although Shape Shifter has never been studied as a whole, each individual ingredient in the formula is purportedly backed by the results of multiple weight loss studies.
Citrus aurantium, for example, better known as bitter orange, is a popular weight loss ingredient found in a variety of diet pills.
One of the best studies to support the weight loss effects of citrus aurantium was published in the Journal of Medicine in 2002, when researchers claimed that “Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra.”
Researchers in this study did caution that more research was required. During this study, they measured results from other studies (they didn’t actually look at citrus aurantium themselves). The results revealed that citrus aurantium works by increasing your metabolism, inducing thermogenesis, and suppressing your appetite.
However, more modern studies have disagreed about the weight loss benefits of bitter orange. WebMD.com reports, for example, that “Researchers disagree about the effects of bitter orange on weight. Some research suggests that a combination of bitter orange, caffeine, and St. John’s wort might help for weight reduction when used with a low calorie diet and exercise.”
However, WebMD.com goes on to report that “another study found that a combination of bitter orange, caffeine, and several other ingredients did not help people lose weight.”
Like many trendy weight loss ingredients, bitter orange doesn’t have quite enough evidence from human trials to suggest that it works in 100% of all patients. However, it does appear to work in some patients, especially when paired with caffeine.

Both green tea extract and green coffee extract are two additional popular herbal ingredients typically used to induce weight loss. Both ingredients contain some amount of caffeine, although Shape Shifter never reveals the full amount of caffeine included in the supplement (we know there’s 10mg of caffeine from the guarana extract, but there’s also typically caffeine in green tea and green coffee bean extract – so the total amount of caffeine is unknown). That being said, there shouldn’t be more caffeine than an average cup of coffee – say, 100mg or so.
Based on the above ingredients, Shape Shifter is more powerful than the average dietary supplement sold online – but is available at a cheaper price.

Shape Shifter is a weight loss supplement available at a reasonable price online. The makers of the supplement don’t list any clinical trials or scientific studies that have taken place on the supplement as a whole, although each of the individual ingredients in the formula has been linked to some weight loss benefits.
Shape Shifter, for example, uses bitter orange, caffeine, green coffee extract, and green tea formula at relatively strong doses to help you lose weight.
