Scivation Flexatril – Scientifically Tested To Support Joint Health?

on

Scivation Flexatril is a joint health supplement made by supplement manufacturer Scivation. It promises to support joint health and improve your muscular mobility. Here’s our review.

What is Scivation Flexatril?

Scivation Flexatril is a dietary supplement sold online through Scivation.com. The supplement claims to “keep mobility and performance high” by offering all of the following benefits:

A bottle of Flexatril (90 tablets) sells for around $60. The supplement is marketed towards athletes who want to protect their joints, or anyone who wants to maintain joint health as they age.

Flexatril is made by nutritional supplement manufacturer Scivation. The company is based in North Carolina and sells a number of other bodybuilding supplements, including preworkouts and protein powders.

How Does Flexatril Work?

Flexatril uses three registered trademark formulas, all of which are clinically-proven and patented. Those three formulas include Microlactin, Ayuflex, and Sensoril.

Scivation has placed all of these formulas inside their “Flexatril Mobility Blend”.

We know the total dosage of this proprietary formula, but we don’t know the dosage of any of the ingredients within that formula.

For example, we know there’s 3125mg of total ingredients in the Flexatril Mobility Blend, but we don’t know the exact breakdown of each ingredient.

That being said, key ingredients in the formula include all of the following:

  • MicroLactin (milk protein concentrate)
  • AyuFlex Chebulic Myrobalan (Terminalia chebula) fruit extract
  • Sensoril Ashwagandha root and leaf extract
  • Lactase

Each of these ingredients works in different ways to achieve the same joint pain relief effects. They keep joints healthy, mobility high, and discomfort low.

Scivation doesn’t appear to have put Flexatril through any clinical trials on its own. Fortunately, many of the individual ingredients in Flexatril have gone through clinical trials.

Microlactin, for example, is one of the best-known ingredients for joint health. It can be found in several other joint health supplements.

Swiss Natural (who actually makes Microlactin and owns the trademark) sells a pure Microlactin supplement with 500mg of formula in each serving.

Microlactin is the key ingredient in Flexatril. It’s a type of hyperimmune milk that comes from stimulating the immune systems of lactating cows, causing them to secrete a large amount of antibodies than normal.

These bovine antibodies can help stimulate your own immune response, helping to reduce inflammation associated with arthritis and other joint conditions.

At the same time, Microlactin is also rich with proteins, minerals, and nutrients. ConsumerHealthDigest.com called Microlactin a “revolutionary answer to joint pain and inflammation”.

What About the Other Ingredients in Flexatril?

AyuFlex is another popular joint support product made by Natreon Inc. It’s described as an Ayurvedic product. You can read a scientific study on the benefits of AyuFlex here.

In that study, participants were able to reduce joint pain and swelling after taking AyuFlex. AyuFlex is a water-based extract of Terminalia chebula, a type of plant native to Southeast Asia traditionally used for its joint pain relief effects.

Ashwagandha, the final key ingredient in Flexatril, has also shown some ability to ease arthritis pain throughout the body.

It’s been used as an Ayurvedic treatment for centuries, helping to stabilize, strengthen, and soothe the body.

Some use it for its anti-anxiety effects. Ashwagandha’s joint pain relief effects are likely mild.

Overall, Flexatril uses a combination of herbal extracts to relieve your joint pain. These herbal extracts aren’t nearly as strong as some of the drug-based treatments on the market.

However, they rely on natural medicine – like Ayurvedic medicine – to achieve their targeted effects.

Flexatril Pricing

Flexatril is available for purchase online through Scivation.com. You can also find it on Bodybuilding.com and some other retailers. Here’s how pricing breaks down:

  • Scivation.com: $59.99 USD (90 tablets)
  • Bodybuilding.com: $39.99 (90 tablets)
  • Amazon: $18.00 (90 tablets)

Typically, nutritional supplements are a similar price across websites and retailers.

It’s odd to see the pricing for Flexatril vary so widely from the official website to third party retailers – especially since it’s the identical formula in identical bottles.

What Do Customers Have to Say About Flexatril?

Flexatril is generally well-reviewed online, although there aren’t very many reviews in total. There’s only one review on the product’s Amazon page, for example, so most of the reviews come from the Bodybuilding.com product listing, which has over 40 reviews.

Here are some of the pros and cons we’ve discovered about the supplement after reading through these reviews:

Pros

  • Great for maintaining joint health and avoiding joint pain at any age (the supplement is particularly popular among younger bodybuilders, as opposed to most other joint supplements, which are popular among older people who suffer from arthritis)
  • Great for avoiding the pain caused by frequent workouts, like sore knees or elbows
  • Leaves joints feeling healthy and strong

Cons

  • The pills are large, and you need to take three of them a day
  • Some of the reviews have a bit of a “fake” feel to them. However, overall reviews for the supplement across the internet seem strong.

It’s also important to remember that Flexatril is a relatively new supplement, so there aren’t many reviews for it yet online.

Scivation Flexatril Review Summary

Overall, Flexatril is popular among young and old athletes alike. Some people seem to start taking Flexatril at a very early age to avoid injury, while others start taking it in their 40s and 50s when they start to notice symptoms of joint pain.

The supplement has an overall rating of 9.3 out of 10 on Bodybuilding.com at the time of writing.

Based on the ingredients inside Flexatril, and their dosages, Flexatril should have a mild effect on your joint pain.

It’s not going to be as effective as drug-based cures for arthritis, but it’s certainly more natural. It uses a blend of herbs – particularly herbs used in ancient Indian (Ayurvedic) medicine – at a high dose to relieve joint pain and boost your immune system’s response to joint pain.

One of the unusual things about Flexatril is how different the prices are across the internet. Amazon sells it for as little as $20, while most supplement retailers have it priced between $35 and $40.

The official website, meanwhile, prices it as $60. Make sure you do some comparison shopping to get the best deal on Flexatril.  For other Scivation products, check out this article.
