NooCaffeine is a dietary supplement designed to help keep you awake and aware when you need it the most. Here’s our NooCaffeine review.
What is NooCaffeine?
NooCaffeine is a 400mg capsule that contains a specialized formula of caffeine and other energy-boosters to provide you extra help in staying awake and aware. The company manufacturing NooCaffeine says that using their product will provide you with “focused energy” and “no crash.”
NooCaffeine Features: How Does It Work?
NooCaffeine is in essence an energy pill, loaded with enough caffeine to keep you awake and aware past your normal capabilities. However, NooCaffeine differs from your run-of-the-mill energy pill because of the type of caffeine used in the product and also in the effects the other ingredients have on the body.
Who Makes NooCaffeine?
NooCaffeine is a product of NooWave Supplement Co., founded in 2005 by CEO Bobby Dalton, a fitness and nutritional supplementation enthusiast. NooWave offers several different supplements designed to boost energy levels, work as pre-workout and post-workout fitness aids, and general health and wellness supplements.
NooCaffeine Ingredients
NooCaffeine’s three active ingredients include two different caffeine formulations and one amino acid, all of which work synergistically.
The first ingredient, caffeine citrate, is a form of caffeine that is absorbed quickly by the body. The trade-off for this rapid take-up is that caffeine citrate is about only half as strong as traditional sources of caffeine.
The second ingredient is di-caffiene malate, marketed under the brand name Infinergy. Consisting of caffeine and malic acid molecularly bonded together, di-caffiene malate is a buffered version of caffeine that results in less stomach upset and a smoother, less “jittery” experience.
The third ingredient is L-Theanine, which is a naturally occurring compound found in green tea leaves. L-Theanine is thought to have a calming effect, and some research studies have found that the amino acid can reduce the severity of caffeine’s tendency to increase blood pressure.
NooCaffeine Pricing
NooCaffeine is available directly from the NooWave website for $19.99 per bottle. There are 20 capsules in each bottle; recommended dose is no more than 1-2 capsules in a 24-hour period.
NooCaffeine is also available for purchase through Amazon at a slight discount. Orders are fulfilled by NooWave, and as a result shipping rates are set by the company, not by Amazon.
NooCaffeine Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?
NooCaffeine is a relatively new product, and has yet to garner any direct reviews itself. However, NooWave has established itself as a reputable nutritional supplement company – something that is crucial within the supplement industry, as these companies are not regulated in the same way pharmaceutical companies are.
Pros:
- Good Source of Caffeine: If you’re looking to get some caffeine in your system, this will do it. A typical cup of coffee provides around 95 mg of caffeine; NooCaffeine has around 200 mg of caffeine combined. Even with its caffeine sources being slightly weaker than traditional ones, that’s still more than you would get in a cup of joe.
- Milder Experience: The types of caffeine used in NooCaffeine are milder, designed specifically to provide fewer “spikes” and the accompanying “crashes” that can go with normal caffeine intake. Additionally, the inclusion of L-Theanine makes NooCaffeine safer than most other caffeine supplements thanks to its demonstrated ability to reduce caffeine-induced hypertension.
Cons:
- High Price: At $20 a bottle, NooCaffeine is essentially $1 a capsule. This may seem pricey for some, but simply keep in mind that you would likely pay just as much – or more – for a cup of coffee with less caffeine in it.
- Still Some Risks: Caffeine is still a stimulant, and even in its buffered, gentler form it can still cause problems with overuse. If you do decide to use NooCaffeine, you’ll need to ensure you don’t take more than 2 capsules in a 24-hour period. However, all of the ingredients in NooCaffeine are generally recognized as safe by the FDA.
Should You Buy NooCaffeine?
If you’re the kind of person that is always on the go and never seems to get enough sleep, there’s an allure to popping a few caffeine pills to keep you awake. It’s quicker than brewing yourself a pot of coffee and pouring yourself a cup, and in some cases it’s cheaper than stopping at your local coffee shop. Just pop a pill, wash it down with something, and enjoy the energy boost.
As far as caffeine supplements go, NooCaffeine looks to be some next-level stuff. Its clever blend of caffeine types and complementary ingredients likely make it a safer and more effective alternative to the kind of little tablets they keep behind the counter at the truck stop.
It’s designed from the ground up to be gentler on your stomach, gentler on your nerves, and just all-around gentler on your body – all at a price that isn’t cheap but isn’t exorbitant either.
Taking stimulants isn’t the best thing for you, of course. However, if it can’t be avoided, NooCaffeine looks to be the safest and most effective choice out there at the moment – or at least until you can get a good night’s rest.
