Montecito Review

Montecito is an anti-aging skin cream that claims to eliminate wrinkles, dark circles, and other visible effects of aging. Here’s our Montecito review.

is Montecito?

Montecito is an anti-aging skin cream that claims to be “the hottest new anti-aging trend”.

By applying the skin cream daily, you can purportedly “achieve visibly younger looking skin”. Some of the promised benefits of Montecito include:

May Smooth The Look Of Stubborn Fine Lines
— May Restore Your Radiant, Firmer-looking Skin
— May Restore Your Skin’s Appearance

The skin cream is available through a trial program priced at a whopping $100 for a small 1.2 fl oz bottle (although the trial is advertised as costing only $4.95 for S+H).

What makes Montecito worth $100 per bottle? Here’s our review of how Montecito works.

How Does Montecito Claim to Work?

Like many anti-aging skin creams we’ve seen online, Montecito’s manufacturer spends a lot of time talking about its skincare benefits and very little time talking about how it actually works.

I mean, this is the exact, word for word description that the supplement uses when describing how it works:

“May restores nourishments in form of hydration to the under-eye area reducing appearance of puffiness.”

That sentence barely makes sense. Worse, it doesn’t explain how it moisturizes your skin: it just tells you that it does moisturize it.

There are also vague mentions of collagen and elastin, two proteins that play a key role in your skin’s firmness and suppleness.

However, there’s absolutely no mention of how Montecito works, which ingredients it uses, or even whether the ingredients are synthetic or natural: we have nothing to evaluate Montecito in any way.

Montecito Ingredients

The manufacturer of Montecito has refused to list any of the ingredients included in the formula.

We don’t know whether the formula contains botanical extracts, synthetic formulas, or some mix of the two.

We don’t even know if the ingredients are safe, FDA-approved, or recommended by doctors: the manufacturer of Montecito just expects you to trust that it has included the best ingredients in the right dosages.

Good skin care products list their ingredients because they’re proud of their formulas. Montecito has taken a different approach, which seems to suggest the manufacturer isn’t proud of its ingredients.

Montecito Pricing

If you weren’t already seeing red flags in your head while reading through the first part of our Montecito review, then you’ll probably start to see red flags in the pricing section.

Montecito is priced at $100 for each small capsule. However, the manufacturer doesn’t tell you that upfront: it simply tells you the product is priced at $5, and then it silently pre-authorizes your credit card for the full $100 charge.

Here’s how that sneaky autoship scam works:

— You sign up for the “risk-free” Montecito trial through the official Montecito website, which is the only place you can buy the formula.

— You enter your credit card to pay a $4.95 “shipping & handling” fee

— Within 3 to 5 business days, your trial cream arrives in your mailbox. You have 14 days from the date of your original trial order to test the cream.

— If you don’t request a refund and return the cream within that 14 day period, then your credit card will be charged $99.95 on the 14th day of your “free trial”.

— That $99.95 charge covers the product you received. That’s right: your “free” trial didn’t just cost $5: it was priced at around $100.

— Making things worse for your credit card debt is that the makers of Montecito assume you like the cream so much that they’ll send you monthly shipments of the cream for the rest of your life, charging you $99.95 each time.

— You can cancel this program at any time by calling 1-877-987-2526. However, you only receive a refund on unopened products and many customers have complained that it’s difficult to cancel the autoship program, or that customer service refuse to give any sort of refund.

Ultimately, many people have described Montecito’s pricing policy as a scam. The scam is designed to take your credit card information in the guise of charging you just $5. But when you read the fine print of the terms and conditions, you learn that the cream is priced significantly higher than first advertised.

Hint: If you really want to buy Montecito and want to save money, you can hit the “Back” button when you’re on the ordering form to apply a 50% or 70% off coupon, which means you only pay $2 or $3 for shipping today (the $99.95 full price is still the same).

Who Makes Montecito?

Montecito is made by a company that calls itself Montecito Anti-Wrinkle.

The company lists its address as the following:

530 W. Los Angeles Ave. #115-157
Moorpark, CA 93021

You can contact the company by phone at 1-877-375-9028 or by email at [email protected]

If you Google that address, you’ll learn that Montecito has been previously linked to a number of other skin care products. There’s even an entire page dedicated to the company on RipoffReport.com, where many customers have complained about the free trial scam we’ve mentioned above.

The company appears to have previously marketed the same skin cream as either Montecito Eye Serum or Montecito Anti-Wrinkle Skin Care. They don’t appear to sell any other products.

Should You Use Montecito for Its Anti-Aging Benefits?

If you’re the type of person who likes to spend over $100 on a tiny jar of skin cream with unlisted ingredients and no scientific evidence, then Montecito is the perfect product for you.

In reality, you can buy a way better moisturizer for about $20 from any local retailer. Plus, you don’t have to worry about getting sucked into some autoship scam.

There’s absolutely no reason to purchase Montecito and no evidence supporting any of its claims. This is one anti-aging skin cream you should absolutely avoid.

  1. How many of those who purchased this product or similar ones based on TV commercials that you saw with these skin and eye care products being praised by Doctor OZ ? I now see a new one called BELLA SERATA being offered under the name and photo of Angelina Jolie; plus another called YOUTH RENU. I took Montecito to small claims court and they never showed up, the court awarded me triple damages however I would have to hire a lawyer in California to handle it for me. Montecito sent me an email saying that they were crediting my charge card for $99.95 on May 2016 and they never did; their customer reps. said it was issued and to check with my card company. All lies and deception and I don’t know why they cannot be sued by the Federal Government for Interstate Fraud since they advertise nationwide on TV and on the Internet.

  2. This is a total scam. I was misled to think that it was a trial product for $4 shipping. I was astounded when I saw a charge on my credit card for $139.99!!!! When I called customer service they said I only had 14 days to cancel from day I purchased it. I had no idea this crappy moisturizer was going to cost me $139.99 AND sign me up for auto ship! Do NOT get ripped off on this scam. They would not refund my money, so that was an expensive mistake
