Juicero Juice Bars – New Whole Foods Do It Yourself Juicing System?

on

Want to shop at Whole Foods while sipping on cold-pressed juice? Whole Foods just launched do-it-yourself juice bars at 11 Southern California stores.

The stores use a countertop cold-press system called Juicero that allows customers to make their own juice. Each Whole Foods will have one to three cold-press systems available to customers.

You’ll be able to buy a Juicero Produce Pack at $5 per serving, then sip on the juice while you walk around the store.

The Juicero system isn’t actually sold by Whole Foods. However, it’s available to purchase online at a price of around $400. Juicero partnered with Whole Foods to introduce the juice bars to Whole Foods locations.

The juice is 100% organic and made from triple-washed, chopped, organic fruits and vegetables that were harvested within 3 days of arriving at the store.

Which Whole Foods Have Juicero Juice Bars?

Juicero juice bars can be found at all of the following 11 Whole Foods locations:

  • Santa Monica: 1425 Montana Ave.
  • Pasadena: 3751 E. Foothill Blvd.
  • Redondo Beach: 405 North Pacific Coast Hwy
  • Playa Vista: 12746 West Jefferson Blvd
  • Irvine: 8525 Irvine Center Drive
  • Newport Beach: 415 Newport Center Drive
  • Laguna Niguel: 23932 Aliso Creek Road
  • Huntington Beach: 7881 Edinger Ave Suite 150
  • La Jolla: 8825 Villa La Jolla Dr
  • Brea: 3301 Imperial Hwy., corner Valencia Avenue
  • Tarzana: 18700 Ventura Blvd

All of the above locations now have Juicero systems available in-store.

How Does Juicero Work?

Juicero is available for customers to purchase at a price of $400. The juicers are sold throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.

However, the company’s primary goal is to partner with businesses to provide juice bars on-location. As the official Juicero website explains, the system “allows you to create a professional grade juice bar in any environment, with minimal investment.”

Gyms, fitness stores, stores, and hotels can all add the juice bars to their locations with minimal investment. The Juicero juices all come with similar quality promises, including:

  • Raw fruits and vegetables
  • 100% USDA Organic certified
  • Delivered within days of harvest
  • Cold-pressed
  • Creates 8 ounces of juice

Using the system is straightforward. It’s kind of like a Keurig machine for juices. You open the machine, place the packet inside, then turn on the juicer. The juice drains into a cup beneath the machine. You buy additional cold-pressed juice packets from Juicero as needed.

As part of its partnership with Juicero, Whole Foods is offering 4 to 7 Juicero blends, including Sweet Greens, Greens, Spicy Greens, Green Zing, Beta Glow, Root Renewal+, and Sweet Roots.

“Juicero offers our customers a new and unique cold-pressed juicing experience,” Patrick Bradley, president of Whole Foods Market Southern Pacific region, said in a statement.

“Juicero allows for a convenient, affordable cold-pressed juice that meets our high quality standards and we’re excited for our customers to have this new option for grabbing a juice on the go.”

Obviously, juicing has been one of the biggest health trends of the last few years. If the project is successful at the 11 Southern California Whole Foods locations listed above, then we may see the Juicero juice bar system expand at Whole Foods across America in the near future.
