HFactor is a type of hydrogen rich water. The water promises to enhance your performance and recovery while decreasing inflammation and even easing your allergies.
Here’s our HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water review.
What Is HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water?
HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water is a hydrogen-infused water sold on Amazon at a price of around $18 for a 6 pack. The water claims to have unique advantages over ordinary water: it promises to decrease inflammation, reduce allergies, and boost athletic performance and recovery.
The water comes in a unique pouch. The makers of HFactor, HyEdge, Inc., recommend drinking two pouches of HFactor every day.
What Makes HFactor Different Than Ordinary Water?
If you passed elementary school science class, then you know that water already contains hydrogen: two hydrogen atoms bind themselves to one oxygen atom to make water.
So why do you need more hydrogen in your water? What’s the difference between HFactor and ordinary tap or bottled water? The makers of HFactor claim that the hydrogen in ordinary water is “tightly bound to the oxygen and unavailable as an independent molecule”. To get around this problem, HFactor contains molecular hydrogen gas (H2) that’s been dissolved into water. When you drink HFactor, this gas is circulated throughout your body.
The unique HFactor pouch claims to keep this hydrogen gas safe until the moment it’s consumed.
Benefits Of HFactor
HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water cites scientific journals and studies that reinforce the value of hydrogen. Here are some of the benefits claimed by the makers of HFactor:
- Health, wellness, and fitness advantages
- Improved athletic performance and recovery
- Better energy levels
- Reduced symptoms of jet lag
- Reduced hangover symptoms
- Improved recovery from invasive medical treatments and other body stressors
- Reduced allergy symptoms
- Improved circulation throughout the body
- Reduced skin irritation
Ultimately, there’s evidence that hydrogen has a beneficial effect on our bodies. However, hydrogen-rich water is particularly popular among “self hacking” communities online, who seem to believe hydrogen-infused water can cure cancer, obesity, and other types of diseases. In reality, hydrogen-infused water has shown some benefits – but it’s not going to instantly cure you of everything overnight.
In terms of real scientific studies, hydrogen-rich water experienced a surge in activity around 2011, when its therapeutic effects first started to spread across the internet. This study published in Medical Gas Research in 2011 investigated the effects of hydrogen-rich water on those receiving radiotherapy. Researchers found that hydrogen-rich water reduced inflammation in tissues. Researchers ultimately described the water as “a potentially novel, therapeutic strategy for improving QOL [quality of life] after radiation exposure”.
Nevertheless, hydrogen therapy isn’t a sure bet all the time. In a separate study from 2011, researchers described that it was difficult to determine how, exactly, hydrogen targeted the body, saying that “the primary molecular target of H2 remains unknown.”
With that in mind, it appears there are some genuine benefits of hydrogen intake into the body. However, it’s unclear if the amount of hydrogen in hydrogen-infused water like HFactor is sufficient to have a significant effect on the body – including health benefits and improved bodily functions. HFactor itself has not been independently studied to reinforce its purported benefits – at least, there’s no scientific evidence posted on the official HFactor website.
The makers of HFactor are also careful to explain that the FDA has not evaluated any of the statements on the HFactor page, and that the product is not intended to treat or prevent any disease.

Who Makes HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water?
HFactor is made by a company named HyEdge, Inc. That company was founded in 2013. The company packages its water in the United States. However, they don’t explain where the water is sourced or where the water is infused with hydrogen. As far as we can tell, it’s only bottled in the United States.
HFactor was founded by Gall Levy (Founder and CEO), and Barry Orms (Co-Founder). The company is located at the following address:
24 North Bryn Mawr Avenue #282
Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
You can contact the company by phone at 888-501-0908 or by email at [email protected].
Should You Buy HFactor Hydrogen Infused Water?
HFactor is a trendy health beverage that purportedly reduces your risk of diseases and illnesses, boosts your energy, and enhances athletic performance. There’s some evidence that hydrogen can boost recovery and provide other health benefits. However, there’s no evidence that the hydrogen gas infused into HFactor has any significant effect on the human body.
Based on the reviews online, however, many people claim HFactor has helped them treat their illnesses, improve their energy, and enjoy other health benefits. Some people even drink it to relieve or prevent hangovers.
Overall, there’s limited scientific evidence supporting hydrogen-infused water, and there’s no scientific evidence that specifically supports HFactor. There’s also the problem that HFactor doesn’t mention its source – so we don’t know whether the water comes from municipal water supplies in Pennsylvania, or if it’s infused with hydrogen in a country like Bangladesh before being shipped to the United States.
However, HFactor may be worth a try if you’re looking for a unique way to add more water to your daily diet.
