Force Factor Omega-3 is a 100mg softgel that comes in a 90-count bottle. Each softgel contains Vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids from marine lipid concentrate.
Force Factor Omega-3 Features: How Does It Work?
The omega-3 fatty acids contained in this Omega-3 product are an essential nutrient used to assist in the production of prostaglandin, an organic compound similar to hormones that are used by the body.
Prostaglandins help regulate many essential processes at the cellular level, including cell growth, inflammation, hormone regulation, and dispersion of calcium, making a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids ideal.
Who Makes Force Factor Omega-3?
Omega-3 is made by Force Factor, a sport and fitness nutrition supplement manufacturer founded in 2009 by a pair of rowers from Harvard University. Other sports nutrition products made by Force Factor include testosterone boosters, nitric oxide boosters, intra-workout and pre-workout powders, thermogenics, post-workout recovery, and daily nutrition in the form of multivitamin supplements.
Ingredients in Force Factor Omega-3
Force Factor Omega-3 contains the following ingredients:
- 5 IU of Vitamin E, as d-alpha tocopherol
- 1000mg of marine lipid concentrate, 300mg of which are omega-3 fatty acids that provide EPA and DHA
Inactive ingredients include gelatin, glycerin, and purified water. This product contains fish, specifically anchovy and sardine.

Force Factor sells 90-count bottles of Omega-3 at $49.95. Oddly enough, Force Factor sells all of its products except for its Omega-3 on Amazon as well as on its own website.
Force Factor Omega-3 Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?
From what we’ve been able to gather about Omega-3, this product may not have the best reputation out there. An old, discontinued version of the product listed on Amazon with different packaging but identical ingredients (a product listing we had to dig in order to find) was very poorly reviewed, barely cracking 3 out of 5 stars, and featured many complaints.
Pros:
- Delivers Essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids – This product does indeed provide essential omega-3 fatty acids, which is more or less exactly what it says it does.
Cons:
- Incredibly Overpriced – At $49.95 for a 90-count bottle of what’s essentially generic fish oil capsules, Omega-3 is extremely overpriced.
- Questionable Business Practices – Many reviewers claimed that Force Factor engaged in some shady business practices when it came to this product, offering a “free sample” and then surreptitiously enrolling customers in recurring autoship options without their permission – and often without informing these customers, either.
Should You Buy Force Factor Omega-3?
Making sure you have enough omega-3 fatty acids in your diet can be difficult. Despite this, it’s an important part of good nutrition, as the body can’t make it on its own. This means that unless you feel like consuming mass quantities of flax seed, fish, or other natural food sources, you’re not going to get enough omega-3 fatty acids in your diet – and that means you’ll have to get your omega-3s through nutritional supplements.
This is where Force Factor comes in, and it’s also where we step out. We’re sure there’s nothing wrong with Omega-3, as fish oil is fish oil for the most part; it’s an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and it always will be. The problem here is that Omega-3 as a specific product, available from Force Factor, is a poor choice.
First, the price is out of control. At effectively $50 for 90 softgels, you’re paying through the nose for a product you could get for much less elsewhere. Considering that even the generic GNC brand 100mg omega-3 fish oil product comes in a 120-capsule bottle and is less than half the price of the Force Factor version, you would have to be crazy to choose the more expensive option.
Secondly, Force Factor’s reputation for offering free samples of its Omega-3 product to customers and then enrolling them in auto-ship options in secret is another big red flag when it comes to buying anything from this company.
Regardless of whether the rest of its sports nutrition products work or don’t, a company that plays fast and loose with transparency to the point where getting a free sample is the same as asking to be enrolled in an auto-ship without being informed is, well, one we really can’t recommend you do business with.
In the end, it’s our opinion that you skip Force Factor and get your omega-3s somewhere else.
