Drionic – Pulsed Current Personal Device To Stop Sweating?

Drionic, found online at Drionic.com, is a company that sells anti-sweating devices for your hands, feet, and armpits. Find out everything you need to know about Drionic today in our review.

What is Drionic?

Drionic is a stop-sweating device manufacturer found online at Drionic.com. Described as a “Sweat Stop”, the online store features a wide range of anti-sweating devices for your hands, feed, underarms, and more.

Currently, Drionic.com only sells two main products. One Drionic product targets your hands and feet, while the other targets your underarms. Drionic makes the products themselves. In fact, they were one of the first companies to offer iontophoresis devices to consumers.

How Does Iontophoersis Work?

Drionic devices work using iontophoresis, a process you may have heard about if you’ve looked at other anti-sweating devices online. Iontophoresis essentially involves running a gentle electronic current through your hand in order to block sweating at the source.

The process relies on the fact that tap water contains ions. An electric current is run through the Drionic device, causing the naturally-occurring ions in tap water to be pushed towards the skin through low voltage electricity.

This electric current, combined with the ions, effectively blocks your sweat pores, preventing them from releasing excessive amounts of sweat. When performed every day for 2 to 3 weeks, iontophoresis is a renowned and proven way to treat sweating problems like hyperhidrosis.

With both Drionic devices, you just need to add a small amount of tap water, then turn on the power. Place the devices on your armpits, hands, or feet, and then wait for 20 to 30 minutes. The procedure is painless.

Drionic Products

Drionic Hand/Foot Device ($198 USD)

The Drionic Hand/Foot device claims to be the first ever pulsed current personal care device designed to stop sweating on your hands and feet. It’s designed to be safe, simple, and easy for anyone to use.

The device consists of two foot-sized pads – kind of shaped like a small shoebox. You place your hands or feet into these pads for 30 minutes every day for 2 to 3 weeks. After 2 to 3 weeks of this treatment, your sweating should be lowered to a more acceptable level. You will need to re-treat yourself every 4 to 6 weeks.

Drionic Underm Armpit Devices ($196)

These unique devices claim to be “the most effective known treatment for stopping sweat in the armpits.” Drionic’s underarm armpit devices were the first to receive a patent for using a pulsed current system.

Just like the Hand/Foot Device, the Drionic Underarm Armpit device needs to be used every day for up to 30 minutes until perspiration is lowered to an acceptable level. This typically occurs after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment, and will need to be re-treated every 4 to 6 weeks.

The treatment works in a similar way to the Hand/Foot Device: you wet two small felt pads with tap water, then slide the pads back into the pad trays and turn them on. Leave them under your armpit for 30 minutes, then turn off the device. Rinse the pads and repeat daily.

Does It Actually Work?

Iontophoresis sounds weird – but it’s a treatment that genuinely works. Many people swear by the treatment, and iontophoresis devices are becoming more and more common on the market.

The Drionic official website has posted a variety of studies involving iontophoresis treatment. This study, for example, published in the Manual of Dermatologic Therapeutics, describes iontophoresis as “an effective therapy that presumably acts by producing a physical blockage of the sweat ducts at the level of the stratum corneum.”

Other studies describe that “Results with the Drionic device have been very good in patients who have hyperhidrosis; 80 percent or more have shown some improvement and continued its use.”

Many of the studies mention the Drionic device specifically, as it was one of the first on the market to take full advantage of iontophoresis.

What Do Customers Have to Say About Drionic?

Drionic devices are sold online through the official Drionic website and through Amazon.com. We’ve read through those reviews to give you a list of the following pros and cons:

-Excellent customer service, including fast handling of manufacturing defects and other problems

-Worked to relieve sweating even when all other devices failed

-A good option if you don’t want to buy a prescription iontophoresis machine from your doctor

-“Life changing”

-Batteries lasts for only about 2 sessions

-Can be annoying to use, considering you have to leave your hands or feet in water for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, every day, for 2 to 3 weeks

Overall, there aren’t enough reviews on Drionic on Amazon to give an accurate rating of the device. However, the average rating is approximately 4 stars out of 5. As mentioned above, studies have indicated that it works on approximately 80% of people – so it’s not going to work on everyone, all the time.

Should You Use Drionic Anti-Sweating Device to Stop your Sweating?

Obviously, Drionic is designed for those with severe sweating problems – like hyperhidrosis. Using the device requires you to stay mostly in one place for 20 to 30 minutes a day, for 2 to 3 weeks. You need to repeat this process every 1 to 2 months. It’s not a fast and easy way to cure sweating – but it is effective (at least for 80% of people).

If you suffer from a sweating problem and want to make a change, then Drionic may be the right choice for you.
