About Mannatech
Mannatech is a multilevel marketing company with strong presences around the world. The firm is headquartered in Coppell, Texas and is publically traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol MTEX.
Founded in November 1993, Mannatech was chosen by Forbes as one of the 200 Best Small Companies in 2006. In 2013, the company reported revenue of $137.447 million.
Like many older multilevel marketing companies, Mannatech has faced some controversy over the years. It was publically endorsed by controversial politician Ben Carson until early 2014.
In 2007, an undercover investigation by ABC’s 20/20 TV program showed how Mannatech sales distributors illegally targeted people with illnesses to sell various Mannatech products. The company faced several major lawsuits for this behavior – including a class action lawsuit under the Deceptive Trade Practices act.
Today, after several much-publicized CEO transitions, the company is ready to turn over a new leaf under current CEO Alfredo Bala.
The company maintains an active presence around the world and has distributors in all of the following countries: United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Estonia, Finland, the Republic of Ireland, Czech Republic, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Namibia, Spain and Hong Kong.
