BrainUp IQ Review – Does It Work?

BrainUp IQ is a brand new nootropic supplement that claims to give you intense focus and mental clarity. But does it actually improve your brain power? Let’s take a closer look today in our review.

What is BrainUp IQ?

BrainUp IQ is a dietary supplement categorized as a nootropic, which means it improves brain functionality.

Specifically, BrainUp IQ promises to improve your memory, give you “intense focus”, and enhance your mental clarity. By taking it daily, you should notice both short-term and long-term benefits – according to the manufacturer.

Best of all, BrainUp IQ claims it uses a “proven scientific formula”. So far, everyone sounds pretty good for BrainUp IQ. So let’s take a closer look at the science behind this supplement.

How Does BrainUp IQ Work?

BrainUp IQ promises to provide three primary benefits, including:

Your brain begins to lose its sharpness around age 30. BrainUp IQ promises to reverse these effects of aging (even if you’re under the age of 30) and turn around your cognitive health.

So how exactly does BrainUp IQ achieve these benefits? It achieves these benefits using “100% natural ingredients”, including a “100% pure phosphatidylserine complex”, according to the makers of the supplement. The ingredients are assembled in a certified laboratory environment.

Phosphatidylserine is a chemical that your body produces on its own, although we also get the majority of our daily requirement from the foods we eat. It’s a legitimate chemical often used as a treatment for ADHD, depression, and Alzheimer’s. WebMD.com actually rates it as “possibly effective for” age-related mental decline and Alzheimer’s disease.

There’s one big problem with BrainUp IQ: the manufacturer never actually tells us the dosage of its phosphatidylserine. Typically, when used for cognitive benefits, it’s recommended that you take 100mg three times per day (300mg daily dose) as a standard dose. Some studies have used a daily dose as high as 550mg without any major side effects.

So we know that phosphatidylserine is beneficial at a daily dose of 300mg. And we know that BrainUp IQ uses phosphatidylserine. What we don’t know is how much of that chemical is found in each serving of BrainUp IQ.

That’s a big problem. typically, when a manufacturer refuses to give us dosage information, it means that it’s a weak dosage. Given that, we have to assume that BrainUp IQ contains a relatively weak dose of phosphatidylserine that isn’t likely to have a major effect on your brain.

BrainUp IQ Ingredients

BrainUp IQ claims to contain 100% natural ingredients. The only listed ingredient is phosphatidylserine. Beyond that ingredient, we know nothing else inside BrainUp IQ. There could be a number of other ingredients – or it could just contain phosphatidylserine.

Without an ingredient label or dosage information, it’s impossible to say which ingredients are in BrainUp IQ.

BrainUp IQ Pricing

BrainUp IQ is exclusively available to US residents, where it’s priced at the following rates:

  • 1 Bottle: $54.95 + $4.99 Shipping
  • 3 Bottles: $107.85 + $4.99 Shipping
  • 5 Bottles: $149.75 + $4.99 Shipping

Each bottle is a one month supply of 60 capsules. You take two capsules per day (although we don’t know the exact serving size).

You can currently only order BrainUp IQ from the official website, which accepts all major credit cards through its secure online form.

Who Makes BrainUp IQ?

BrainUp IQ is made by a company that simply refers to itself as BrainUp IQ. That company lists its contact information as:

BrainUp IQ also lists a fulfilment center as its mailing address. We’ve seen this fulfilment center listed by a number of other shady online supplements. Here’s the address for returns:

7803 S. Alton Way, #2A
Centennial, CO 80112

The company does not appear to manufacture any other supplements.

Should You Use BrainUp IQ to Improve Cognitive Ability?

BrainUp IQ makes enormous claims about its benefits. Amazingly, it claims to be more effective than Adderall – which is a prescription drug certified by the FDA as a treatment for ADHD. It also claims to be more powerful than Modafinil and Alpha Brain – two of the most popular nootropics on the market.

BrainUp IQ makes many similar claims – but it never actually backs up those claims with things like “clinical trials” or “independent scientific data”.

Making things worse is that we don’t know the dosage of any of the ingredients in BrainUp IQ. In fact, all we really know is that it contains some dosage of phosphatidylserine.

When a manufacturer doesn’t advertise dosage information, it forces us to assume that the supplement contains a weak dosage. With that in mind, it seems unlikely that BrainUp IQ will have any effect on your body or brain.
