Back Pain Help Posture Brace – Healthy Spine Alignment Device?

on

The Back Pain Help Posture Brace (or simply “Posture Brace” for short) is a wearable posture device designed to provide pain relief by correcting sitting posture.

Here’s our Posture Brace review.

What Is The Back Pain Help Posture Brace?

The Posture Brace is a compact, minimalistic back brace that provides support along the spine without being bulky or uncomfortable to wear. It comes in two sizes, Small/Medium and Large, and can be worn over clothing or underneath it.

How Does the Back Pain Help Posture Brace Work?

The Posture Brace simply slips on much like a backpack thanks to its elasticated straps and front fastening, which reaches just above the waist.

The integrated “soft feel” spine relieves pain and discomfort by helping to improve your posture, prevent slouching, and re-align your spine. The Small/Medium Posture Brace fits chest sizes of approximately 28 to 35 inches. The Large Posture Brace can accommodate chest sizes of 36 to 48 inches.

Who Makes The Back Pain Help Posture Brace?

Back Pain Help Posture Brace is part of the Back Pain Help product line created by Mark Critchley, who worked in conjunction with The London Spine Clinic to design an ergonomic and effective brace.

In addition to the Posture Brace, Back Pain Help also offers the Lumbar Support Backboard and the Posture Cuhsion, both of which were designed to relieve back pain and correct sitting posture. Critchley then allied himself with The Grommet, a company that launches undiscovered products and helps them succeed through its marketing efforts.

Located in Cambridge, Massachussets, The Grommet was founded in 2008 by Jules Pieri and Joanne Domeniconi, and has been instrumental in launching dozens of products. The Grommet has since continued to grow, earning such accolades as being invited to attend the White House Maker Faire in 2014. All three of Back Pain Help’s products are available exclusively through The Grommet website.

Back Pain Help Posture Brace Reviews: What Do Customers Have To Say?

The Posture Brace’s Amazon listing has 59 reviews with an overall score of 3.5 out of 5 stars, making it an above-average product. Looking at the breakdown of reviews, 29% of reviewers gave the product 5 stars and 31% gave it 4 stars, making it a rare product that actually has more 4-star reviews than 5-star ones.

Pros:

  • Does Correct Posture – The product, from all accounts, does indeed work quite well to correct your posture. In fact, even customers who left relatively negative reviews were quick to say that the Posture Brace does force them to stand and sit strait and helps to realign their spine.

Cons:

  • Incredibly Uncomfortable – The downside to this product is that it can be incredibly uncomfortable, especially when it comes to wearing it for extended periods of time.
  • It’s also very uncomfortable to wear beneath your clothes for any long period of time, as many users have reported that the elastic straps can irritate the skin.
  • Sizing issues were also mentioned, and that the straps can sometimes cut off circulation to your arms because they’re too tight, even if you’re wearing the “correct” size product.

Should You Buy the Back Pain Help Posture Brace?

It seems that the Posture Brace is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it does help correct your posture, and that can be a serious boon if you suffer from back pain or if you’re concerned about how sitting at a computer desk all day has a negative impact on your back health. That being said, there are some serious comfort issues with the Posture Brace that can’t be ignored.

The issues with the Posture Brace may be tied to body shape. Reviewers have said that the product is at its most comfortable when used by people with a slim build; this may be the key to the problem with reports of discomfort.

In light of this information, if you’re on the thin side and want to find an effective back brace, the Posture Brace may be an effective choice for you. However, if you’re not rail-thin (and few of us are), you might want to keep hunting for a brace that will be more comfortable to wear.
