Amidren is a testosterone boosting nutritional supplement that promises to increase testosterone levels in your bloodstream. Here’s our Amidren review.
What is Amidren?
Amidren is a lineup of nutritional supplements marketed towards men over 40 who have low testosterone. The nutritional supplements include Amidren Builder, Amidren Burner, and Amidren Protein.
Each supplement supports muscle health and fat loss while also helping men raise testosterone levels. it calls itself “performance nutrition for men over 40”.
By taking the supplements as part of your daily routine, you can combat age-related muscle loss, fight back against andropause (“male menopause”), and regain the energy and vitality you had when you were younger – at least, those are the claims made by Amidren.
Amidren claims to be doctor-formulated by Dr. Vincent Giampapa, M.D. So far, so good. Let’s take a closer look at how Amidren works.
How Does Amidren Work?
Amidren supplements work in different ways to support the male body as it ages. Let’s take a closer look at each of the three Amidren supplements.
Amidren Builder
Amidren Builder is a non-hormonal muscle building formula that calls itself a “lean muscle activator”. It supports muscle recovery after a workout and claims to fight back against sarcopenia, or age-related muscle loss.
In order to do that, Amidren Builder uses a special proprietary formula called the “Lean Muscle Reactivation System”. The entire formula (aside from one ingredient, Vitamin D), is found within this proprietary formula. No dosage information is listed.
The formula includes some mysterious dosage of amino acids labeled as “anabolic activators” along with a strange mix of herbal extracts, including ashwagandha root extract and ginkgo biloba leaf extract.
Typically, when you take a muscle building supplement, it contains a high dose of protein and other ingredients needed to support real muscle growth. Amidren Builder only contains an unlabeled dose of amino acids mix with herbal compounds. Making things worse is that even if the amino acids make up the majority of the formula, they’re still not a high enough dosage to have a major effect on your body.
Nevertheless, the makers of Amidren continue to make claims like “increases muscle size”. In reality, I don’t see any ingredients in Amidren Builder that could do that.
Amidren Burner
Amidren Burner is a fat burning pill that promises to combat age-associated fat gain and “significantly enhances weight loss results” by stimulating the release and burning of fat in your body. That sounds good! Let’s take a look at the ingredients.
Just like Builder, Amidren Burner hides all its dosage information behind a proprietary formula, so we have no idea what the individual dose of each compound is. That’s a problem for caffeine-sensitive individuals because like many diet pills, Amidren Burner contains caffeine. The dose of caffeine is not listed.
Other ingredients include the amino acids L-carnitine and L-tyrosine along with raspberry ketones, choline bitartrate, and cayenne fruit extract. There’s 680mg of formula in total.
Amidren calls this its “Metabolic Reactivator” formula. In reality, it seems to be a small dose of amino acids combined with caffeine. Caffeine is a proven weight loss compound – but it’s also something you can get from cheaper sources.
In any case, without dosage information, it’s difficult to compare the effects of Burner to scientific studies on, say, the weight loss effects of green coffee bean extract.
Amidren Andro-T
Amidren is a once-daily pill that promises to increase testosterone production, heighten energy levels, boost sex drive, and enhance physical performance. By taking it daily, you can also help maintain lean muscle mass and decrease body fat. Basically, Amidren is advertising this as a miracle pill for men over 40.
Once again, most of the ingredients in Amidren Andro-T are hidden behind a proprietary label. Other ingredients in the supplement include zinc (19mg, of 127% daily value).
The Amidren Andro-T Hormonal Support Complex is a proprietary formula made from most of the herbal extracts we’ve seen in other “natural” testosterone boosters, including tribulus terrestris extract, fenugreek seed extract, Longjack root, and saw palmetto fruit extract. Most of these ingredients have been shown to support healthy testosterone levels – especially when combined with well-known testosterone boosters like zinc. However, the lack of dosage information makes it impossible to compare the ingredients in Amidren to what we know from certain studies.
Ultimately, Andro-T is the only Amidren supplement that appears to contain a list of powerful ingredients. The problem is that we don’t know if those ingredients work without dosage information.
Amidren Protein
Amidren also sells a protein powder that, like other Amidren products, promises to fight back against age-related muscle loss. The protein is priced at around $40 for a 20 serving container, which puts it at the higher end of the supplement industry. Each scoop contains 21g of protein along with a small number of vitamins (calcium, iron, magnesium, sodium, and potassium).
The protein is sourced from whey and pea proteins. Amidren recommends taking two scoops per day for best results – so each $40 container will only last you for 10 days when taken at the recommended dosage.

Should You Take Amidren to Increase Testosterone Levels?
Amidren makes bold claims about its effects on the male body, but it never backs up those claims with things like transparent dosage information or scientific evidence. Without these two things, it’s virtually impossible to say whether or not Amidren supplements work as advertised.
However, based on the ingredients listed, Amidren doesn’t appear very unique compared to other supplements on the market. You can purchase BCAA supplements, protein powders, and a caffeine pill and get similar effects to most of Amidren’s core three supplements.
That doesn’t mean Amidren supplements won’t work – it just means we haven’t seen any evidence to suggest they would work. The fact that they’re priced so high and the ingredient dosages are hidden behind proprietary formulas is also a bit of a red flag.
