TAPfit Review – Is It Right For You?
TAPfit is a tap dancing fitness routine that promises to make losing weight fun. Here’s our TAPfit review.
What is TAPfit?
TAPfit promises to help you turn tap dancing into fun exercise. Created by four sisters from Queensland, Australia, TAPfit promises to exercise your body and mind at the same time.
Three of the sisters are triplets, and all of them are qualified tap dance therapists. After teaching a young family friend with cerebral palsy how to tap dance, the sisters decided to put their tap dance training into a cohesive exercise plan. TAPfit is the end result of that work.
How Does TAPfit Work?
Each TAPfit workout lasts 20 to 30 minutes and promises to exercise your quads, buttocks, and core, the “three muscles [that] burn more calories than any other muscle group in your entire body!”
There are 6 workout styles in total for a total of 4 hours of fun workouts, body sculpting moves, and dances.
In addition to the exercise routine, TAPfit emphasizes healthy nutrition through its app. The app gives you new recipes weekly, with each recipe being family-friendly, easy to make, and full of flavor.
Your Deluxe TAPfit package comes with a TAPfit mat with a soft backing and grip underlay, so you can safely dance without damaging your floors. The TAPfit program promises to be safe to use on most floor types, including timber, tiles, wood, concrete, and carpet.
The program also claims to be easy enough for anyone to use – even if you can barely dance. The creators of the program claim that “if you can step on the spot, you can do TAPfit”.
When performing TAPfit exercises, you can burn up to 800 calories per hour.
Meanwhile, those who are worried about the noise should note that the tap attachments included with the program make noise at approximately 60 decibels, which is “less than the noise of a domestic vacuum cleaner and about the same noise level as a normal conversation.” Those tap attachments have been specifically engineered to reduce noise while delivering a clear and crisp tap.

TAPfit was recently launched by four sisters from Queensland, Australia. Those sisters include Annie, Fiona, Katherine, and Rachel, each of whom is individually qualified as a tap dance instructor.
The four sisters also enlisted the help of Master Instructor Matt Douglass when creating the program.
All of the four sisters were chosen to be part of the first Australian team to compete at the 2009 World Tap Championships, where they placed 9th. All four are also graduates of Trinity College of London for speech, drama, or musical performance, according to The Courier Mail.
