Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy is a hypnotherapy program that promises to help you quit smoking. Can you really quit smoking by listening to someone’s voice? Here’s our review.
What is Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy?
Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy claims all you need to do to quit smoking is to sit back, close your eyes, and listen to the soothing voice of their highly skilled and professional hypnotherapist.
By the time your first session is over, according to the makers of the program, “you may have quit smoking forever.”
The program promises to be 100% safe, 100% natural, and 100% guaranteed to offer results. To date, “thousands of smokers across the world” have quit smoking with hypnotherapy (Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy doesn’t specifically say that they’ve used their hypnotherapy program).
The Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy program comes packaged on a CD. That CD is priced at “free” – all you need to do is pay $1.99 for shipping.
10 days after ordering the CD, the credit card you used to pay that $1.99 fee will be charged $85 for a set of four hypnotherapy titles, and you will continue being charged that $85 fee five more times (it’s a six volume series, and each volume has four parts).
In other words, the total cost of the program is $511.99. What makes Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy worth that high price tag for a set of 25 CDs? Let’s take a closer look at how it works.
How Does Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy Work?
Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy claims to work using the soothing voice of a professional hypnotherapist.
Basically, you close your eyes, listen to the CD, lay back, and enter a state of hypnosis where you can learn how to quit smoking.
People often pay professional hypnotists hundreds of dollars for such a service. It’s a legitimate practice backed by real evidence that it works. It’s particularly popular among those who have tried conventional stop-smoking aids – like patches and gum – and found that they haven’t worked.
The professional hypnotherapist with YBT claims to have studied smokers and worked with them for over 30 years, so she “understands how difficult it can be to give up smoking” and knows what it feels like to crave just one puff of a cigarette.
After years of helping clients, that hypnotherapist decided to bundle up her classic hypnosis treatment into a CD and sell it online. She claims to have successfully used her treatment to help men and women from age 18 to 83 quit smoking and become lifelong non-smokers.
When you’re in a state of hypnosis, your mind is more susceptible to certain manipulations. The hypnotist believes that for all smokers, quitting the habit is something that starts deep in the subconscious mind, which is why hypnosis primarily focuses on this area.
Hypnosis breaks the connection your mind has between nicotine and addiction. As you fall deeper and deeper into a state of hypnosis, your mind gradually accepts the need to turn your thoughts from “I need to smoke” to “I don’t want to spoke” or “I don’t need to smoke.”
YBT doesn’t list any stats or evidence backing up its success rate. We don’t know if it works at all. We don’t even know the name or credentials of the hypnotherapist used by the program. What’s the name of her clinic? Does she have any professional training? Does she have experience? YBT refuses to post any evidence online explaining whether or not the program works as advertised.
Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy Pricing
As mentioned above, YBT comes with an interesting pricing policy. The company advertises an upfront price of “free” and then gradually charges you more and more fees.
To start, after you see the “free” price, you’ll be asked to select your shipping method. You can pay $1.99 for standard shipping (3 to 5 days), $17.99 (2 days) or $24.99 (overnight shipping). The makers of YBT do not advertise any additional fees or surcharges. However, they do make you check a box saying that you read the terms and conditions.
If you do read the terms and conditions (most people don’t), then you’ll realize that YBT is basically an elaborate scam designed to charge your credit card hundreds of dollars before you realize what’s going on. Here’s how it works:
— Your CD arrives within 3 to 5 business days
— 10 days after you first ordered your “free” CD, your credit card will be charged $74.98 + $9.99 for shipping and handling. You’ll receive a set of 4 CDs in the mail a few days later.
— You will continue being sent 5 more volumes (one volume each month) over the next 5 months, while your credit card will continue to be charged $74.98 + $9.99 every time
No refund is available after your credit card has been charged. However, the company does tell you to contact them if your CD was damaged during the delivery. You can contact the company at (888) 955-1292 from Monday to Friday 5am to 6pm PST.
If you’ve spent much time on the internet, then you know this is a scam: Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy claims to be giving away a CD for free. When in reality, hidden in the very fine print of the terms and conditions is a small section telling you that your credit card is going to be charged over $500 over the next six months.
The makers of YBT, by the way, defend their scam and state that they require all customers to read the terms and conditions before they get their free CD. Obviously, they say this knowing full well that most people will not read the terms and conditions. Nevertheless, the company protects themselves from a legal standpoint by making you check the box stating you have read the terms and conditions.

C&R Marketing, LLC was incorporated on May 9, 2011 by Jagdipik Rai (who lives in Blaine) and Steven Cho (who lists an address in Los Angeles). These two make up the “C” and “R” in C&R Marketing. You can view more information about the company here.
Your Better Tomorrow has pages on RipoffReport and ComplaintsBoard, two popular sites for customers to complain about shady companies. Reviewers on these websites claims that refunds have gone unprocessed for four months. One reviewer calls the company “sneaky and dishonest” and claims that customer service is extremely unhelpful when you call: agents claim they’re always “updating their systems” when you call, for example, and appear to purposely make it difficult to get any type of refund.
Your Better Tomorrow’s online complaints date back to 2014.
Should You Sign Up for Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy to Quit Smoking?
Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy makes big promises about its benefits: it claims that it’s guaranteed to help you quit smoking – even after you listen to just one session.
The professional hypnotherapist even claims to change your self-image “at a core level” while permanently changing your life.
Unfortunately, the scam-like pricing policy – which comes with over $500 of hidden fees automatically charged to your credit card – negates these benefits. Even if the program does work, most people aren’t ready to pay over $500 for it – especially when the product advertises itself as “free”.
Honestly, if you’re interested in trying hypnotherapy and like the idea behind YBT, then your best bet is to sign up for your free CD, pay your $1.99 shipping charge, and then immediately call the company telling them you wish to cancel. Your credit card won’t be charged the full $510+ fee for the complete YBT program.
Or, you could skip this online scam altogether and work with a legitimate stop smoking therapist in your city. They’ll probably charge less than the $510 price tag of YBT.
Unless you’re willing to pay $510 for a set of 25 CDs, Your Better Tomorrow Hypnotherapy is more likely to leave you with a bad taste in your mouth and hundreds of dollars of credit card debt instead of helping you quit smoking.
