Wrapter Review – Worth Buying?
Health and fitness is an intricate part of a fulfilled lifestyle and staying in shape. Those who lead an athletic lifestyle, whether professionally, or leisurely, are always faced with the dilemma of acquiring practical clothing and gear to fit their lifestyle needs. Although most athletic clothing is practical, having the gear remain functional and comfortable while not interfering with the activity can sometimes be difficult. Most athletic gear is meant to protect the body, and prevent discomfort while exercising
In an effort to make athletics more practical, companies have developed products that are not only functional, but easy to use as well. The options range from sweat wicking headbands that keep hair in place to training gloves that are designed to adhere to the shape of the hand while providing grip and comfort for training.
Despite having numerous products on the market that promise to make physical activity easier, there is still something missing. For men and women with long hair, engaging in rigorous physical activity can be a complication. Long hair usually does not stay in place during the duration of an activity, and can become undone causing not only a risk of hair getting in the way, but there is a danger of hair being pulled, or getting caught during the activity. Another problem is that after a workout, detangling the hair can also be a painful process.
The Wrapter Ponytail Protector is an innovative product that was specially created for active individuals with long hair who wanted to prevent damage from tangling while participating in sports or fitness. The Wrapter provides comfort and practicality while allowing involvement in physical activities to go undisrupted.
About the Wrapter
The Wrapter was initially created out of necessity for a motorcycling enthusiast. The founder, Andrea, who had been riding dirt bikes from the time she could walk, was always having to deal with the painful process of detangling her hair after a long ride. Though she had tried to style her hair into a long braid, and attempted to tuck her hair into her helmet, she still found her hair tangled, and unprotected. After finally having enough of this, she decided that there must be a solution to this problem.
The idea was formed by creating something that would cover all of the hair, while tightly holding it in place. After a few failed attempts, the first prototype of the Wrapter was complete. Based off of being like a sock with a drawstring, the prototype ended up being closed off at the bottom, and worked well. After this initial prototype, Andrea began to think of all the possibilities and began to research how to improve the prototype.
After many sleepless nights, the fabric had been chosen, and the closed end was cut off in order to ensure that it would fit all hair lengths. All of the hard work and became known as the final design of the Wrapter. The hair wrap was now able to keep hair sweat free and untangled, and is being used in so many more ways than were first planned
Uses for the Wrapter
The Wrapter can be used in three easy steps and one size fits most all users. The first steps involve twisting the ponytail into a tight rope, or a braid. The second step requires the user to push the end tail of the ponytail into the rolled up Wrapter. While holding the tail end, roll the Wrapter up to the base of the braid or ponytail. The last step is to check the fit of the Wrapter and securely fit the excess rolled material up over the elastic hair tie that secures the ponytail.
Though originally created for motorcycling, users found that the product could be used not only in motorsports, but in team sports, and other athletic activities as well. Among these, but not limited to, were soccer, volleyball, cycling, climbing, waterskiing, basketball, and track.
Features of the Wrapter
The Wrapter is 18 inches in length, when it is unrolled. What makes the Wrapter so effective is the excess material that secures the hair in place as it goes over the elastic band that secured the ponytail or braid. Because the Wrapter is designed to fit various lengths and thicknesses of hair, it will work on all hair types. It is recommended that an elastic hair tie be used to hold the Wrapter in place as rubber may break and pull on the hair causing damage. Another great feature of the Wrapter is that it is machine washable and dryer safe, making it easy to clean.
