Stok Coffee Review – Taste Great?

Coffee lovers have it good – there are so many brands on the market to choose from. But, as they say – not all brands are created the same. If you want high-quality and delicious coffee, then you may want to gravitate toward the smaller coffee company brands. After all, the smaller brands tend to pay better attention to the roasting process, quality brews, and a high-grade final outcome.

For those who are particularly interested in cold brews, then the recommended brand of choice is Stok Coffee. Here is everything you need to know about this authentic, inspirational, and valuable brand so that you can really enjoy your next beverage.

About Stok Coffee

Stok Coffee was created by a curious group of coffee tinkers. Coffee “tinkers” is a term that you are probably unfamiliar with, but to make it simple – it means a group of people who are very obsessive about creating an authentic, enjoyable, and delicious coffee beverage for customers to enjoy. The coffee that Stok creates can be best described as awesome. The brews are bold, smooth, pure, and delicious.

For those who are unfamiliar with cold brew coffee, it is essentially the process of steeping coffee grounds in cold or room-temperature water. The coffee grounds are brewed for an extended period of time so fully extract the coffee out of the grounds. Not every business makes cold brew coffee the same, which is why there is a range of flavors and options. When it comes to Stok Coffee’s process, it is unique and it leads to a quality cup of flavorful chilled coffee.

The Brewing Process

Stok Coffee has a unique brewing process. It is important to understand the brewing process to get a sense of the final product. Here is an overview of Stok Coffee’s brewing process:

Step 1: Steeping

Many companies vary the amount of time they brew the coffee grounds for, which can impact the taste. To achieve the best flavor possible, Stok Coffee brews its coffee for a full 10 hours in cool pure and fresh water. Steeping the coffee for this amount of time allows the coffee to lose its bitter flavor, which results in a smooth and delicious taste.

Step 2: Filtering

The second step of the process is filtering. The way that Stok Coffee filters the coffee grounds from the water leaves the beverage even smoother and it fully eliminates any remaining bitterness.

The final outcome is a refreshing, caffeinated, and full-bodied flavor that the brand os so well known for.

Understanding Stok Coffee

Stok Coffee is a very interesting brand, especially when you visit its website and view its Stok vocabulary page. Here, you’ll be able to understand exactly what the brand its referring to when talking about its products. For example, the brand features the word “exocarp,” which refers to the outer skin of the fruit of the coffee tree. Understanding a term like this and others enables you to fully appreciate and parse vocabulary that the brand regularly uses in its product descriptions.

Brew Options

This is probably the section that you’ve been waiting for. Stok Coffee is not a particularly large brand, but that does not mean it does not have a number of great flavors and options to choose from. Stok Coffee features five different coffee options, two of which are larger sized bottles. The coffee flavors are:

Black – Not Too Sweet

This brew is a completely black brew product, meaning there are no added sugars, creamers, or milk. This beverage is pretty strong, especially if you have never tried Stok Cold Brew coffee before. It is created through a low, slow, and 10 hour brew process that does an excellent job at fully removing the coffee from the grounds. The bottle is 13.7 fl. ounces. This beverage also comes in a 48 ounce bottle.

Mocha – Not Too Sweet

The mocha flavor is another delicious option. The base here, of course, is dark cold brew coffee and the mocha flavor derives from chocolatey and coffee undertones. It is ideal for those who do not want to drink a beverage that tastes simply like coffee. Like all Stok Coffee beverages, this one is also brewed for 10 hours. Moreover, the bottle size is 13.7 fl. ounces.

Vanilla – Not Too Sweet

The third option is vanilla flavors and best of all, the vanilla does not derive from an abundance of sugar. Here, the vanilla is mixed with the pure cold brew coffee, resulting is a delicious and refreshing treat. Like the other products, this bottle is also made through a 10 hour brewing process and the size of the bottle is 13.7 fl. ounces.

Black – Unsweetened

The fourth option comes in a 48 bottle and unlike the other beverages, this one is completely unsweetened. It is particularly strong, even more so than the Black – Not Too Sweet beverage. Therefore, if you are drinking cold brew coffee for the first time, then you may want to try one of the other beverages first. The benefit of choosing a fully unsweetened beverage is that you can add whatever you like to create the flavor that matches your personal preferences.

Where to Buy

Stok Coffee is still a developing brand, which means that it is not available in every store and it may not even be available near you. To find out, you should visit the brand’s website and check if the product is available in a store in your area. Moreover, you’ll find that many of the flavors above are “coming soon.” The main stores that carry Stok Coffee include Fry’s, Albertsons, Bi-Lo, Giant, Kroger, Ralph’s, and so many others.

Moreover, as the brand continues to develop, you’ll be able to view some great ways to use your cold brew coffee. The brand notes on its websites that the videos are currently in progress, so check back to find out how to make the perfect cup of cold brew coffee with Stok’s products.

Summary

Overall, Stok Coffee is highly recommended, even for those who have never had a cup of cold brew coffee. The coffee is designed to be unique, delicious, flavorful, and to meet the needs of your coffee addiction.

  1. I’ve been cold brewing my own coffee for years. This is much better than any coffee I’ve been able to make using coffees you buy in the grocery store and even some I’ve bought at specialty stores. If you have interstitial cystitis or any other condition where you have to limit acid in your diet, you should try this coffee!

  2. What is in the “natural flavor” listed in the ingredients list. It says “with natural coffee flavor” implying that not all the “natural flavor” is extracted from coffee bean? What kind of process is used to extract it? I’m having trouble finding this information. Thanks!
