Stemologica Review

Stemologica is a beauty company which claims to use the power of stem cells to build superior beauty products. Stemologica is famous for its conditioners, shampoos, eye gels, and anti-aging creams.

Find out everything you need to know about Stemologica today in our Stemologica review.

What is Stemologica?

Stemologica is a beauty company which has over 20 years of experience. Based in Prague, Czech Republic, Stemologica claims it was one of the world’s first companies to “develop and market cosmetic and therapeutic products based on Dead Sea salts, minerals, and black mud.” It also uses stem cells in certain anti-aging beauty products.

Today, Stemologica sells its beauty products internationally and maintains offices in the UK, Canada, and the United States. The company also has a partnership with well-known businesses like Walgreens and Hilton International to use and distribute their products.

Stemologica Products

Stemologica offers six different products for sale on its official online store. All of those products are seen below along with a brief overview:

Balsam Conditioner ($14.95)

This conditioner includes a blend of Dead Sea minerals and plant extracts. These compounds are purported to promote a healthy scalp and give you shiny, delicately-scented, easy-to-style hair.

Black Mud Shampoo ($29.95)

This shampoo is specially designed for people with oily or irritated scalps. It contains a “high percentage” of Dead Sea minerals and can be used to pamper the hair and scalp to relieve itchiness and dryness.

Golf Kit ($149.95)

The Golf Kit contains hand cream, foot cream, insect repellant, sun block, soap, and a facial towel. It comes in a portable golf bag and all products contain Dead Sea minerals, natural oils, and plant extracts.

Eye Gel for Men ($29.95)

Specially designed for men, this eye gel soothes under-eye bags and restores a youthful appearance by tightening the skin.

Luxurious Gift Set in a Black Velvet Box ($195.95)

This gift set includes five products recommended for daily skin treatment, including a toner, “mineral serum”, moisturizing cream, nourishing cream (for night), and an eye gel. All ingredients feature Dead Sea minerals and natural plant extracts. It also comes in a fancy box.

Stemologica Kit with Vitamin C and Swiss Apple Stem Cells ($149.95)

This kit features the three Stemologica-recommended skin creams: the Moisturizing Day Cream, the Nourishing Night Cream, and the Lifting Eye Gel. The creams are made from natural stem cells extracted from Swiss green apples and designed to give the skin a healthy, smooth, and radiant appearance.

How to Use Stemologica

Most Stemologica creams are used in the same way. Stemologica recommends a three step application process:

Step 1) Wash Your Face Using A Gentle Cleanser And Pat Dry

Step 2) Apply The Stemologica Formula To Your Face And Neck

Step 3) Let The Cream Dry For 30 Minutes To Fully Penetrate Your Skin

Buying Stemologica Products

Anyone can purchase Stemologica products online from the official Stemologica website (Stemologica.com). The products typically aren’t sold on other online retailers, although you can sometimes see third-party retailers selling Stemologica products on eBay.

Products range in price from $14.95 for the Balsam Conditioner to $195.95 for the Stemologica gift set.

The Stemologica website also has a “Special Offers” section, where you’ll find a trial offer for the popular “three cream” Stemologica Kit. That trial offer is available for a price of just $5.95, which is much cheaper than the $149.95 you see for the three cream kit on the Stemologica store. However, as you’ll learn below, there’s a big catch to this “free” trial.

How Much Does the Stemologica Trial Offer Cost?

The Stemologica trial offer includes three Stemologica creams for a price of just $5.95. Before ordering that trial, you’ll need to check three separate boxes.

One box says you can rush your order for an extra $2.95. Another box says you agree to the Terms & Conditions, and a final box says “Please enroll me in the Auto Refill Program.”

You should definitely read the terms and conditions before you order your Stemologica trial. Otherwise, you’re going to end up with some unexpected charges on your credit card.

Here’s how the free trial works:

— Your trial is shipped out within 3 days of placing your order. Your credit card will be charged $5.95 as an initial trial fee.

— Stemologica claims the trial will take “4-5 business days for delivery” depending on your location.

— 14 days after receiving your trial, Stemologica will assume that you’re choosing to keep the product (because you’re not returning it) and will charge your credit card $149.95

— You can avoid these charges by sending the product back to Stemologica

— However, there’s one more catch: one you enroll in the trial, you’re also agreeing to periodically receive Stemologica products in the mail. If you don’t return these products within 14 days, then you’ll be charged the full amount for those products – which typically ranges from $50 to $150.

— You’ll need to notify Stemologica if you don’t want to join this program or want to cancel your membership.

— Stemologica’s trial program is a little nicer than most trial programs. You have 14 days from the date you receive your trial to decide whether or not it’s for you. So you’ll have about 2 weeks to test out the product and decide if you like it.

— If you check the “Auto Refill” button on checkout, then you’ll receive automatic shipments of Stemologica products every 30 calendar days. Your credit card will also be billed $99.87 every 30 calendar days.

If you can navigate your way through these complex pricing policies, then you have a better chance of getting a good deal on Stemologica products. It’s worrying that you have to open the Terms and Conditions menu and read the fine print before learning about the above policies, however.

Who Should Buy Stemologica Products?

Stemologica sells a range of premium beauty products including conditioners, shampoos, skin creams, and anti-aging cream for both men and women.

If you can navigate your way past the minefield of Stemologica’s pricing policies, then you may be able to enjoy decent anti-aging supplements without having mysterious charges appear on your credit card.

On the other hand, if you click the wrong buttons during your order, you can expect to enjoy a long and frustrating call with Stemologica’s low-rated customer service agents.

  1. I am shocked to see how many people have made the same mistake as I have. The company has been misleading us to thinking it was a free offer. Despite reading the t and c’s. When companies use the word ‘free’ you are under the assumption that the product is free. However the company shouldn’t use this word in this way. This is what confuses customers. Lisa, although not everybody may read t and c’s thoroughly it is easy to be make this mistake. Hence how many customers have fallen in to this trap.

  2. total rip. cancelled my auto shipment on my “Free Trial”, that was one year ago. My cc has been charged $10 monthly for 12 months. I cannot get hold of them, I cannot get an email reply. Had to cancel my card. This is FUCKED UP

  3. Hi please can someone tell me how I contact them. I have tried the contact us page on their website but doesn’t work – Ive also been scammed thank

    • It was the best cream I have ever used. I first noticed the wrinkles disappear on my neck…then my friend commented on how my acne scars were so much more unnoticeable. I had noticed too but thought I was mistaken.
I did get billed the £96 and immediately cancelled it with my bank.but.. I’ve decided my other products are already failing me so as it’s just £96 out of what I earn I’ll continue for a short time then I’ll just cancel. YES! It works!!! Patsy

  4. There’s a reason we didn’t notice the terms and conditions box. THERE WAS NOT ONE. On the pop-up that comes as your reward for filling out a survey, it just says you are paying only for shipping. All other things such as it is a trial, you will be charged if you don’t return and you are automatically enrolled in a monthly re-ordering scheme are hidden or in an illegal pre-ticked box. Stay away from this scam.

  5. I agree with Lisa further down this conversation. It is our responsibility to read the T&C, but many people fail to do so and then go on complaining. Stemologica has its T&C stated, and if you fail to read them you should not blame the company. I actually spoke to one of the ladies from their customer support and received helpful information. So whenever we miss reading the T&C – there is also the other choice of calling customer support for answers to our questions.

  6. I guess I am becoming just another one on the long list of people being scammed by Stemologica. Received free trial samples, which by the way originally were offered me as a complimentary. Did not notice any limitations like 14 days trial or need to return to be not charged. Talk to Stemologica “Customer Satisfaction Specialist” she offered me $40 discount with condition that I don’t talk with my bank. They send me email telling me not to try to dispute their charges because they win 99.9% of disputes!!!! Talk to my bank, they said they could not stop charges, but they will do it if charges repeated. Sadly, I’ve got ripped for almost $400 and I cannot do anything about it, despite the long list of people being scammed by these thieves.

  7. Crooks.$5 per 10lb vaseline repakced to look good and used to scam your credit card.Stay away from theese crooks

  8. Thieves is a mild word for this company.they robbed me and destroyed and evidence of beating them.be warned they are first class fraudsters in every way there dealings stink.

  9. my credit card fraud sept are investigating this rip off company (or companies!). DO NOT ORDER ANTHING FRON THESE THIEVES!!!

  10. Moi. J ai. Reçu. Après. 2 jours après. 3semaines ils ont pris trois paiement sur ma carte de crédit. Qui monte a plus de. 300.00 dollars ce sont des voleurs. J ai été obligée de d arrêter. Ma carte de credit

  11. Received My product today. I ordered and Now Looking forward. Read many reviews after I ordered…

  12. I signed up for a free offer that said to pay shipping and handling only and as a gift for filling out a survey I would receive a free sample of Stemologica. Stupid yes but I realized and then called and cancelled my membership immediately after the first charge of 99.98. Then they sent me another one and charged another 100.00$ after I cancelled. I was pissed! I sent back the item return to sender and thier customer service said that’s all I had to do to receive my refund. I did not believe them so I cancelled my card got a new one and called to have my refund mailed to me. They said no because I shipped it back return to sender and that’s against the rules for a refund.. Wth? I said no I cancelled my membership so I returned to sender because I didn’t order this one to begin with! Then a manager got on the phone and said I sent it back damaged and he’d give me 30.00 dollars back but no more. Total BS company!

  13. For goodness sake when will people learn to actually read the terms and conditions they are ticking a box to day they have, yet clearly they have not then moan about the repeat subscriptions, I personally read all the t and c’s and it helps me make up my own mind without having to trawl thru pages of people claiming they were ripped off or it’s a scam, it is their own fault to tick the box to agree to t and c’s so why blame everyone else? I noticed immediately it was a subscription service even before I read it all its not rocket science people it’s laziness in my opinion ,sorry but I’m just saying what I feel as I’m allowed to do

    • I did not have that option but thanks for the wise advice. there were no terms and conditions offered to me but I was only duped for 10 bucks because I read these terrible reviews before they autoshipped the second one. I cancelled my card and reported the fraud

    • Lisa, sorry but your wrong, most people are under the impression they’ve been rewarded with a free gift for filling a survey. You may have sought out this product and decided it was something you wanted and then researched t and c’s. For us it was not visible because we weren’t searching for it. If it’s a good company why not return people the money they owe. Alright stung once, you pay, you then cancel where’s the money owed.

  14. Received supposed free trial and only realized the damage of what I had done when a second box of the same stuff arrived. I hadn’t realized I was charged $179.00 and $169.00 within one month for said “free” product. Rip-off, Rip-off, Rip-off – deceitful, devious company. Steer clear – eat well, exercise regularly, meditate, do yoga instead – find all ways to love yourself instead of buying from this ridiculous company – whose claims are likely as ridiculous!!!!

  15. received free trial today April 22nd. Will be returning the box unopened tomorrow. Had
card closed and contacted the bank. Dont want additional charges.

    • Help I just got this ND threw out the box where do I send this back please I can’t afford that this is insane that’s not fair

      • Go to the website, click unsubscribe it’s very clear to see, then contact your bank and ask them to withhold any payments if they are requested, but keep the product, it is after all a free trial like they say, it only be comes a subscription if you do nothing, believe me they are not out to scam ur cash and there is really a thing such as a free trial, u don’t need to send anything back, after all how can u possibly trial something without actually using it??? Stop panicking it’s the silly people screaming scam just bcos they were too lazy to read the facts that are scaremongering which is unfortunate. I hope this helps cos believe me I do this type of thing and never once has anything been taken from my bank bcos I read the facts first before I blindly agree…..

        • I find your frequent comments strange.
          @ Lisa.
People explaining how they were ripped off are doing people like me a big favour.
          I was tempted but skeptical.
This company is counting on the fact, that people miss the fine print AND the date of return which could coincide with the start of auto payments.
I have had it tried on me and the only way to stop this sort of scam is to cancel one’s credit card ASAP
It is a trial and yet needs to be returned.
          That is the scam.!
I am fairly sure you have reasons to want people to buy the product OR you have all the time in the world to follow through the steps to being taken.

    • There is no need to cancel ur card, your bank can simply stop any money going to the company, you may feel a bit of a fool asking them to stop a payment that you actually agreed to but that’s irrelevant, the banks are well used to this kind of subscription service and will cancel it no problems (as will the said company who sends the products but that’s another story lol) if you read the info properly and adhere to the T and c”s you’d find that it actually is a free trial which you can use and not lose out on, just don’t blindly sign up cos you see the words ‘free trial’ lol it’s really self explanatory and if people feel ripped off then I’d advise them to go thru anything like this with a fine toothed comb because believe it or not it is not always s scam and you can benefit as long as you fully understand why you are agreeing to the terms etc… Sigh I feel like a parrot but have to say cos I’m sick of people calling scam scam Dur to their own lack of researching before blindly signing up, I do it all the time and have never once had any money taken from my bank that I did not know was going to be taken…. Am I the only one who DOESNT THINK THIS IS A SCAM? AND KNOWS IT CAN BE VERY BENEFICIAL IF READ CORRECTLY….

      • Lisa, I agree with you. I also tried their products and they were suitable for my skin. It is our own responsibility to read and understand the T&C before proceeding with any online purchase. Stemologica has their terms and conditions stated, unfortunately many people fail to read them.

    • I have been scammed through yahoo, they advertised free trial and never mention any dates trial agreement, two weeks after i got hit with a two hundred pound bill, contacted them and they even threatened me saying if i take the case to my bank they will never refund me.
i checked facebook and they are hundreds like me.
this company is based on deception and they just take your money, the goods I still have them sealed in the box and i sent them via signed for and with tracking, still did not get my money.
my bank is dealing with it now and we created a thread online and inform the fraud department.
people a genuine advise:DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR CARD DEBITED EVERY MONTH AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO CANCEL ALL YOUR CARDS
