The hair extensions are washable. The manufacturer recommends washing your extensions after every 5 to 7 wears. You should also brush out your extensions daily.
You can also curl and straighten your extensions, although the manufacturer says you shouldn’t use a temperature over 320 degrees Fahrenheit. They also caution that hair extensions will stay straight or curled after you straight or curl them: they won’t regain their original texture after you wet them.
What Are They Made From?
Good hair extensions are made from real human hair. At this price range, however ($25 each for a set of 2), you’re unlikely to find real human hair. Here’s how the makers of Secret Extensions describe the material:

How to Wash your Secret Extensions
To wash your secret extensions, fill a sink basin with lukewarm water and a capful of any mild shampoo.
Circulate the water and shampoo through the extensions (don’t vigorously scrub the extensions). Once you’re done washing, rinse the extensions thoroughly to remove all soap, then leave to dry naturally on a towel. Do not brush the extensions when wet.
