Oilganic Free Necklace Review – Worth It?

Oilganic is an essential oil retailer that operates an online store. The company recently released a free essential oil necklace designed to lie against your skin and release essential oils all day. Here’s our review.

What is Oilganic?

Oilganic is an online essential oils retailer that promises to offer 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils that are wildcrafted from ethical and sustainable farmers.

The company sells a variety of essential oils, including popular options like the Eucalyptus Essential Oil and the Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

You can buy all of the company’s products online using any major credit card or PayPal.

Just how good are the essential oils sold through Oilganic? The company claims “you’ll instantly be able to tell the difference with your first bottle of an Oilganic Essential Oil.”

At the time of writing, the company only lists three essential oils online, including Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, and Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

However, Oilganic is making headlines for its free necklace offer. The company recently unveiled a free necklace that releases essential oils into your body throughout the day.

Should you get the free necklace? Let’s take a closer look.

What is the Oilganic Free Necklace?

The Oilganic necklace is an essential oil diffuser necklace that comes with a 32mm pendant on a one-size-fits-all adjustable chain. The material is hypo-allergenic and “made to last a lifetime” according to Oilganic.

The company claims the necklace is normally priced at $39, but they have a special launch deal where it’s available for free (plus the costs of shipping and handling).

The necklace comes with 6 micro-weave, washable, laser cut to fit, highly-absorbent felt pads. Every morning, you soak one of these felt pads in essential oil then place it in the pendant, letting the oils be absorbed into your body throughout the day. The pads also promise to carry your scent all day long.

The idea with the Oilganic necklace is that you can enjoy the benefits of essential oils throughout the day. You don’t have to take time out of the day to spread essential oils on your body. Instead, you can let the oils naturally seep into your body through the necklace every day.

When your warm skin touches the back of the pendant, it heats up the oils and causes them to be released into your skin. After penetrating the skin, they enter your bloodstream, where they can begin to have beneficial effects.

Some of the benefits of the Oilganic necklace, according to Oilganic, include all of the following:

— Energize your body, boost your mood, and reduce stress naturally

— Heal your body by giving it “that warm feeling of lasting health and youthful vitality”

— Immunize and strengthen your body by giving it the power to defend against harmful diseases

Detoxify your body and clean it from the inside out

Some people believe that essential oils work to provide all of the above benefits. We know that essential oils release certain nutrients into the skin. However, others believe the amounts of these nutrients are so low that they’re unlikely to have any effect on your body.

Why is the Necklace Free?

Most companies don’t just release things for free on the internet. As soon as something is available for free on the internet, thousands of people descend on the offer to take advantage of it.

So why is Oilganic releasing a free necklace? Here’s how the company explains it:

“This is our way of introducing you to the Oilganic brand and our mission to help families, eliminate chemicals and toxins in their lives. We know that every time you use this necklace & essential oils and you feel it's positive effects, you'll think more about your own health and the health and wellness of your family and you'll want to join our community of health conscious families. So that's why…”

Basically, Oilganic is a new company that wants to expand its brand. So it’s giving away free necklaces knowing that you’ll wear the necklace, attract attention, and talk about the company. You need to place essential oils in the necklace for it to work, and Oilganic sells essential oils.

At least, that’s the official story behind the necklace.

If you’re more skeptical – which you should be when someone gives away stuff for free on the internet – then you may not believe the above explanation. Instead, some believe that Oilganic is making a profit off of the shipping and handling costs of the necklace, and they’re just selling you a cheap pendant necklace by telling you it’s free. In other words, the necklace only costs $3 to make, $2 to ship, and then Oilganic makes $1.95 in profit off each unit.

Whatever you choose to believe, it’s not that unreasonable to pay $7 for an essential oil diffuser necklace.

Oilganic Necklace Pricing

Oilganic claims their necklace usually retails at a price of $39. Today, it’s available to you free of charge – all you need to do is “just help with s/h”, according to Oilganic

Helping with shipping and handling will cost you $6.95.

All purchases come with a 30 day money back guarantee. You can return the necklace to receive a complete refund of your $6.95 shipping fee.

  1. It’s soooo much prettier in person and the pictures don’t do it justice at all. I use this for my different anointing oils (prayer oils) and wear it with the different oils for different occasions. (Spiritual warfare, intercession, praise and worship, etc.)

I really love the fact that the inserts that hold the sent are felt pads. The pads are reuseable so that you don’t have to go spending extra money on more replacements.

The pendant was a little bigger than had imagined it would be but that’s perfectly fine. The chain is longer so it hangs well below the neckline of a shirt (unless you’re wearing low cut). The chain itself is pretty sturdy and the clasp on the heart is perfectly fit so that it doesn’t just spring open from being too lose. It’s tight enough to stay closed but loose enough to open without hurting your fingers.

Someone mentioned that the pads were too close to the same colors, that they didn’t really differentiate between similar colors too much. All I have to say is I can definitely tell the difference in ALL the colors. Either they got a fluke (which could be the case) or they need a good pair of glasses (no offense meant). Overall, this makes a wonderful gift for those dabbling in the essential oil craze or those who use biblical anointing oils.

  2. These are actually much nicer than I (because they’re so well priced!) expected. I bought them for my mom, who has recently become a fan of essential oils. She bought a diffuser and loves it, so I thought this would make a unique gift. Designs are very pretty. The weight and clasp feel nice and sturdy. I think they will hold up for a long time. She liked that she would be able to switch colors to match outfits, accessories, seasons, etc.

I tried one on prior to gifting them and even at its shortest length, I thought it was too long. But, we’re both about 5’2″ so it may not be a problem for you, or maybe you prefer it that way. As soon as I saw her wearing one, she had already switched the chain for the same reason.

She also said she wanted it shorter so that she could catch more of the scent. The packaging was great for gifting, and I received it a day early, on a Sunday. Thanks!

  3. I’ve been searching for a scent locket that I thought was both pretty and affordable for quite some time. This is the one!

It’s heavy enough that I know it will last for a long time with daily wear. I received it on a Saturday morning and have been wearing it daily for 7 full days now. I get compliments on it multiple times a day. Family, friends and strangers comment about it nearly everywhere I go.

The scent pads that are included are thick and absorbant. I only expected to use the black pad as I generally only wear black or grey clothing, but have found that the other colors look great and give me a nice little pop of color in my look. I put 4 or 5 drops on the pad and only have to freshen the scent every 3-4 days. The fragrance of my essential oil stays close to me and doesn’t disturb others who are sensitive to scents. Yet my husband has commented that he can smell it when he leans in to hug or kiss me. I imagine it would work as well with your favorite perfume as it does with essential oil.

My favorite essential oil combination is rose geranium and lavender. I woke during the night a couple of times while wearing the locket. As I snuggled back into my blankets I could smell the relaxing scents and it helped to lull me back to sleep.

I couldn’t be happier with this purchase and intend to order several more lockets for myself and to give as gifts for friends.

  4. Looks like they were finally shut down since they are not coming up on FB and their website is no longer available. I was fortunate to get some of my money back last week after threatening them and I did report them to the Better Business Bureau. Can’t believe all the people they SCAMMED!!! Pretty bad when you feel you have to research every company before you purchase something from them!!!

  5. I received my necklace last week and today I noticed a $38.60 deduction which I did not agree to. I need to cancel the membership and get a refund.

  6. Apparently, I am not the only one who got hoodwinked by this company. I ordered the necklace and a button popped up offering a bottle of orange oil for $1.00 which I accepted. There was nothing about a membership or additional charges. All of a sudden they are drawing $36.88 from my account. I called twice but got voice mail – no return calls. Finally they answered an email with a bunch pf copy that said that by accepting the offer I was agreeing to the membership. That was not anywhere on the original order. I still have no idea what you are suppose to get for the $36.88. They say they have cancelled my “membership” but when I pressed them for a refund they stopped answering me.

  7. This “company” is a SCAM! They charged me for a membership I did NOT sign up for. $38.60. I will be contacting the BBB and Utah Attorney General office. Super dishonest people and company!!!!!!!!

  8. I order 2 late January early February and just received them this week 28Apr. I tried calling multiple times with no response. Emailed and got a response within a day. However, was told they’d mail out my items that week. This did not happen. Emailed again, and they advised it would the mailed out the same week when I questioned this they became snotty. To which I followed up with their own email stating when it should have been mailed the previous week. Received in 6days after that. I have contacted bank to ensure they no longer remove any money from my account.

  9. I too, was ripped off by Oilganics. I contacted the Better Business Bureau but they could not get an answer from the company and could proceed no further. I have since filed a formal complaint with the Office of Consumer Affairs. They handle these complaints on a federal level. Hopefully they will shut this company down. I ordered the pendant and a bottle of oil in January, still had received nothing in March. They charged a membership fee in March and April but still nothing received. When it finally arrived, I took it to the post office and had them return it to sender. It should not take 4 months to received an item but you still think you can charge a membership fee. I am also trying to contact a local news station near them to have them do an investigative report on this company so they can ask why they feel they can rip people off.

Everyone needs to contact the Office of Consumer Affairs and file a formal complaint demanding a full refund.

  10. I too fell for it ordered 2 and at the end it asks would I like a orange oil for $1 and stupidly marked yes. They took $38.60 out of my account and I didn’t notice it. And never received anything, then the next month they took out another $38.60 and still nothing. Tried calling numerous times. No answer and no call back. Finally was able to email and get an answer. The first $38.50 was a sign on fee for the pleasure of belonging to their oil club. The second amt taken out was for the bottle of orange oil. That I never received nor did I receive the necklaces. After 2 weeks of back and forth they refunded my second amount after I turned them into BBB. First amount will not be refunded because I should have known what it was for. So in March I finally received the necklaces and oil and the oil leaked all over. So if u want a partial refund you’ll have to turn them into the BBB. 😑

    • I got everything refunded but because I e-mailed them 10 times a day demanding my money. I also filed a complaint with the fraud unit of the attorney generals office of Utah.

      • Hi Vicky I got scammed too for $77.20.
Do you have the email that I can reach her.
        Thank you,
        Pam

  11. I ordered oils and Free necklace from ‘Facebook’ ad the first of Jan..as of date ‘have not received’. It did say ‘allow a few weeks’ but is now into the second month. my ‘bank account has been debited $43.90. Still ‘trying’ to find an answer or to get a credit on bank acct. or I will take further action.

  12. I purchased nine necklaces on January 1 of this year and as of today have not received anything. My bank account has been charged for the purchase. I have called and left 2 messages but have not heard from them. I don’t understand why some people are getting the necklaces and some are not. When you call, all you get is a machine. DON’T buy from this place.

    • I mistakenly ordered the orange oil which then locked me into a free trial and if not cancelled within 14 days then $38.60 would be charged to my card monthly. I did not know this till after I irdered. When I caught it I tried calling and did speak to a woman who said she would cancel the membership. I also sent an email to which I did get a reply stating it was cancelled and my money would be refunded. We’ll see. email address is [email protected] (I’m pretty sure you add the .com Even if you called I would still send an email. I also had them send me an email stating my money would be refunded.

      • Did you ever get your money refunded? I just went through the same thing. I called the company and they said it was a monthly membership fee. I said I did not want it and did not see anything when I ordered or I wouldn’t have taken the oil. I told her I saw that there were a lot of people very unhappy and some had reported to the BBB. She said because we were all so stupid that we don’t know how to read the “terms and conditions.” I did not see any terms or conditions, nor did I expect any because I was making a single purchase. The girl hung up on me so I just sent an email. I had ordered in Jan. I have never received any other shipment from them and I told them you can’t charge a monthly membership fee without sending product every month. Sooo sorry I even bothered with them.

  13. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! It is a fraudulent “business”. Tiffani will enroll you in monthly $40 program, but won’t respond to any emails or messages to stop the charges. The website won’t even let you stop your unwanted membership. Tried calling? The number doesn’t even work. Don’t waste your time or money!

  14. I am just one more unhappy customer that ordered 5 necklaces January 5, 2017. Have been charged $29.95. Have received nothing. Have emailed and left voicemail, nothing. Next step..add my name to the list at Better Business Bureau!

    • Same here, they charged my account for 29.95 on January 17, 2017. I ordered 5 necklaces and have not received anything.

      • I also have yet to receive my necklace an the oil, they charged me $38.60 I called my bank an got that money back thankfully!! I know I read the fine print an did not see where I would be charged $38.60 for accepting that orange oil for $1
        Still waiting,..

        • The terms were also clearly written in normal size letters right under where you order the oil. I didn’t see it either.

          • I went to their original offer on facebook which took me to a their website and did not see anything clearly written in normal size letters. I went to the very bottom and clicked on Terms of Service, which was very tiny letters. I read and read until I finally found where it states that if you order the orange essential oil that you are signing up for some kind of membership. It is NOT at all clear and obviously from all these blogs that I’ve read, no one has seen that.

  15. So far they have charged me $116.45! I have not received oils or necklace!!!! Can’t reach them on the phone! I’m hopping mad!

  16. It has been almost a month since I ordered free necklace, as of today I have not received it. Although when going over our bank account a little bit ago, I noticed that 11 days after I ordered it I was charged 38.60. I called to have it cancelled and was told it would be and they would check on my order. Will see what happens next.

    • Same problem. I called 801 901 3022 and spoke with someone who said when I accepted the Orange Oil, I was actually signing up for a club membership. I told her I wanted to cancel the membership and I wanted the 38.60 returned to my account. She said she would tell Billy, whoever that is. I am hoping this works.

      • Good Luck…Trying to get 98.50 back for necklaces and oils AND the 38.60 that I was told would be refunded. Now don’t even get an answer on phone.

    • Same thing happened to me still haven’t received the so call necklace I ordered on January 13,2017 they also charged my card today for $38.60?
What’s that about?!?! I msg them hope to hear from them soon!!
I guess I didn’t read the fine print!! Also what do you get for $38.60 anyways???

    • The same thing also happened to me. I’m attempting to dispute the $38.90 charge but the bank says I will have to cancel my card which I would rather not do – but I may have to so that they won’t charge me any more. I did email them and tell them to cancel membership, which I have no idea what kind of membership it is.

  17. Amy Blevins

People just don’t read all of the ad.. it plainly states on the ad that if you order the $1 orange oil it will set you up for a membership that will charge you $38.60 a month if you do not cancel within 14 days. I ordered the diffuser necklaces and oil but was smart enough to cancel within the 14 days so I wouldn’t be charged the $38.60 a month. I also received everything that I ordered.

    • amy, it wasnt so smoothly for others. this is such a bad scam and they added alot after i ordered. in my opinion they are so rude and they are practically calling us stupid and acting so proud that they got us and there is nothing we can do. the whole thing was updated and changed. i Do read the fine print and would never join anything like this.

    • No it does not plainly state anything, Lynn. Go to the original website where they offered the free necklace. You have to go to the very bottom of the website and click on terms of service and read extensively before you get to anything about the orange essential oil or a membership. They know that the average person will not think to do this. I will never do anything like this again. What they are doing to people is wrong and I feel sure it will catch up with them.

    • I didn’t even receive my order until way past a 14 day period and I had to call to find out where it was so by the time I got my package the 14 day period was over and they had already charged my card.

  18. i fell for the scam too!!!! I reported them to the better business bureau and going to my bank to dispute charges tomorrow. I don’t have that kind of money to waste.

    • Yep It happened to me too
I am so angry i could bite nails. Have to have my Credit Union get my money back

    • I hear ya!!! I am on ssi my card got charged 3 times! I was charged $38.60 $25.99
And I think the last one was like !9.95 sometinh like that!
At any rate I am also upset ! I can’t afford those charges especially when I don’t get the product!

  19. Same exact problem with the $38.60 taken from my account. I’m filing a claim with the bank. I don’t even have the necklace yet on top of it. Yes it’s a scam I’m waiting for it to go threw at my bank and then I will file a claim. THIS IS REALLY NOT NICE

    • I hear ya!!! I am on ssi my card got charged 3 times! I was charged $38.60 $25.99
And I think the last one was like !9.95 sometinh like that!
At any rate I am also upset ! I can’t afford those charges especially when I don’t get the product!

  20. I am like all of the rest of these comments. I did not know that I was getting into a monthly fee for this necklace. I want to cancel my membership and expect to have my money returned to me.

    • Every1 , I never got my refund back when they said they would refund me. The company are liars. You have 2 talk 2 ur bank about putting in a disbute. I did this with my bank then my bank refunded me my $. But since i check my online check’n often then i did catch when they charged my account the 1st charge, then i took care of the problem, b4 they charged me further. The problem the reacurring charges apparently r the fine print, where every1 get reacurring charges taken off ur credit card or bamk card. When u buy the Orange Oil that locks you in where U get charged$ 38.60 until you catch it on ur card or chkn accnt. Yes, cancel for sure. (DON’T BUY the OIL people!!! , that’s the CATCH!

  21. I got my necklace recently but I am not well versed in oils at all. I’ve been taking some notes on different oils and what they do and wanted to share with anyone that might find it useful:

Clove: Anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and antioxidant protection.

Cypress: Improves circulation, reduces varicose veins, lifts confidence and can help heal broken bones.

Eucalyptus: Improves respiratory issues like bronchitis, sinusitis and allergies. Also invigorating and purifies the body.

Frankincense: Builds immunity, reduces inflammation, heals age spots, supports brain and fights cancer. (love this one)

Ginger: Reduces inflammation, supports joints, improves digestion and relieves nausea. (helps with my upset stomach issues)

Grapefruit: Supports metabolism and cellulite reduction. Mix with coconut oil and rub on areas of cellulite or take a few drops internally with water.

Lavender: Helps with relaxation, improves mood and heals burns and cuts.

Lemon: Great to use in homemade cleaning products, improves lymph drainage and cleanses the body.

Myrrh: Natural anti-septic and can prevent or reduce infections. Also, supports beautiful skin, reducing stretch marks and hormone balance.

Oregano: Powerful anti-microbial properties, can kill fungus and help you kick a cold fast.

Peppermint: Supports digestion, improves focus, boosts energy, fever reducer, headache and muscle pain relief.

Rose: Incredible for reducing skin inflammation and great for creating glowing skin. Add a few drops to your facial moisturizer.

Rosemary: Can naturally thicken hair so it is great to add to homemade shampoos. Also, it improves brain function and memory so it’s great to used when working, reading or studying.

Tea tree oil (melaleuca): natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, reduces bad odors and can help stimulate the immune system.

Sandalwood: Natural aphrodisiac that improves libido and can also improve energy.

Anyway thats just a handful of them, would loveto get others insights on what they like and even blends that have been helpful.

    • This is not a scam. People just don’t read all if the ad.. it plainly states on the ad that if you order the $1 orange oil it will set you up for a membership that will charge you $38.60 a month if you do not cancel within 14 days. I ordered the diffuser necklaces and oil but was smart enough to cancel within the 14 days so I wouldn’t be charged the $38.60 a month. I also received everything that I ordered.

      • I would like to know how you can cancel anything when they have your money and will not even answer the phone number on my bank account. They got my money and I have not received anything, and they therefore have my card information. IT IS A SCAM when they don’t reply to their customers who in good faith ordered from the company. I will turn them in for their practices.

      • How can you cancel within 14 days if you don’t see the charges till a month later. The 14 days has already passed and I got nothing! My card was charged three times!

  22. I did not agree to ANY membership with you people yet you charged my card $38.60…..i want my money back. Immediately!… Cancel what ever membership you people signed me up for

    • I have the same problem here. I have been going around and around with these people. This is not a good way to run an oil business. What is the monthly charge for anyway?

      • There’s a fine print, I got taken for the $ 38.60. But I caught it b4 i could of been charged more then 1 time. Ya have to keep an eye on ur Checking account or credit card statement. That’s y i check my $ in my Chking account often. The company said they’d reinburse me, but they are liers trust me, i never got my refund back. If you put in a claim with ur bank they should give u ur refund for u. I did. Whenever you buiy that dang Orange Oil it locks you into getting charged by ut cedit card or ur banking account.

      • As I explained to them. I had no knowledge of sad membership. All memberships I have provide me with information, service, or product. And some all three.
I’m a Sam’s club member. I receive email, junk mail, offers, ads. I have a membership card. I get a discount at stores. I get to shop early. Information, service, product. I could explain this from the stand point of the Costco, Cosmetology board, book club, this list really could go on and on….
My point, I agreed to nothing, I received nothing, they stole money.
Contact your financial institution your Antorney General and your BBB. Send Tiffani at Oilganic all of these names and addresses, then send letters. It took a week I got refunded in full. This company is a scam and they are thieves.

    • Same thing here. I just noticed the charges buried on my monthly bill, which I definitely cannot afford. If I were receiving product, at least I would get value. The “free” necklace has turned out to be extremely expensive. I will be taking this to the proper authorities, as in the Office of the Attorney General, if I am not given a refund for every draft that has been made without my permission.

      • Sorry, but it was clearly stated in the terms and services. Lesson–always scroll to bottom of page and read the terms. Plus, on the orange oil page where you order that it clearly states these terms.

        • If it is so clearly stated….why are there sooo many people that did not see it. I usually read things pretty darn good and I did not see it. BUT also, when I am just making a purchase of something, I expect it to be a one time thing so there are not usually any Terms and Conditions to it. I select what I want to purchase, give you my info, you charge my card and send me said product. If this is a CLUB it should be stated immediately when the Orange Oil is mentioned not after some button. Just say so in big letters up front. Also if it is a 14 day trial…they should not bill you 14 days from the date of your purchase when you haven’t even received your product yet. I had to call to find out where mine was because it took so long. Even a 30 day trial would have been passed.

      • Who do I contact to dispute this and get my money back
My ssi is due tomorrow, I can’t afford to have that charge taken out again !.
On my last statement I was charged three times! At total of around $80

  23. This has to be the most beautiful aromatherapy necklace I have. (I have 3!) The design on this is not the most unique design ever, as you do see a lot of trees/flowers with aromatherapy necklaces. The one thing you don’t see too many of, is this intricate design. I’m absolutely loving this necklace! This is an extremely eye catching piece, and is sure to be a conversation starter.

This necklace comes with a 25 inch chain. Personally, I find this to be a great length. I clasp mine right at the jump ring at the end of the snake chain. It hangs down just above where my tank tops are, and that is exactly where I like to wear my necklaces. Another great thing about this style of chain is that it doesn’t get stuck and tangled in my hair. Which is something that I have had happen with one of my other necklaces.

You get 5 round shaped felt pads, which are washable and reusable. Not sure if there is extra replacement pads available that you can buy, as I did not look, but I sure hope so! You get the colors: Maroon, green, yellow, brown, black and white (and some say they go other colors so it may vary). Not only can you use these for putting oils on, but you can just put them in the necklace and just wear it with a bit of added color.

If aromatherapy isn’t your thing, or you just don’t feel the need to wear oils that day, you can actually use this as a locket as well. You can add a photo or anything larger in size, as the holes between the branches are quite large. Tiny beads and gems won’t be a good match for this style!

overall, absolutely perfect necklace and it seriously has become my favorite and go-to accessory.

    • Yes I just relized that too in the last week. I need to watch for stuff like that in my checking account!! So far they have got me for the 6.95 then 1.00 for the orange oil. And 3 charges of 38.60!!= 115.80. I just had to drop that card and get a new debit card.So Buyer beware ..Nothing is never free!

    • That is encouraging info since all that I have read says, Oilganic is a scam. I only order the necklace on 1/11 and have not received it as of today 1/28. How long did it take for you to get your necklace?

      • I ordered only the necklace on 1/5 and on 2/3 I still don’t have it. Since I didn’t order any oils I am hoping I don’t get charged anything more.

        • I ordered the necklace on 1/13 still have not received! I also ordered the orange oil for $1 I swear I read it carefully an didn’t read where I’ll be charged the $38.60 I have since disputed the with my bank an have not received the necklace yet! I emailed them they finally emailed me back saying they I should receive my necklace soon! I also canceled whatever I signed up for!!
          Still waiting!

  24. SCAM – 2 weeks after my necklace arrived I was billed $38.60. From what I read on here & see it’s membership dues? I guess that’s the best way to put it. I don’t remember seeing anything saying I wanted or agreed to sign up to be in their made up “Ounce of Prevention Alliance ‘club'” with NO perks at all. When I went to ordered my necklace, there was a pop up asking me if I wanted to add a bottle of Orange oil on for $1.00. Nothing saying anything about a “club”. I screen shot the pop-up. WHO is their right mind would join a nothing club with no perks? Obviously this necklace for only S&H is set up in a way to scam. That in it’s self makes this company & their products suspect. I am wondering just what this bottle of orange oil really is now. The necklace is nice, but not ($6.95 + $38.60 =) $45.55 worth nice! I cancelled my card, filed a dispute, & learned even something like essential oils, & homeopathic companies can no longer be trusted. Nothing is sacred anymore. :(

  25. The necklace is a scam, I am being charged monthly and am cancelling my credit card. $38.60 per mo. and nothing being purchased. Since the original charge of 29.95 I have been charged $38.60 X3. Watch out Oilganic and thanks for being so dishonest…

  26. I recently received this necklace, along with an orange oil essential oil, from my boyfriend as a gift. It is a very beautiful necklace with attractive decorative patterns. I am able to carry the benefits of essential oils around with me all day in the form of a lovely, long necklace that matches everything.

I would advise only adding 2-3 drops of essential oil to the padding because anymore than that can be extremely strong. The padding also does not need to be changed for a couple days, but it is recommended that you go ahead and purchase some extras since it only comes with about 4.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the necklace to anyone who practices aromatherapy and wants the additional benefit of wearing their favorite, and most helpful, essential oils around with them.

This necklace is an inexpensive way to reap the psychological and physical benefits of essential oils while doubling as an accessory.

    • I bought the diffuser necklace too, if u bought the oil that locks you into ur credit card will be charged reicurring payments off ur credit card that you used. Trust me alot of us got suckered in, another words read the fine print . I got charged $38.60 to my credit card. I called my bank told them what happened & i put in a dispute with them & they got back to me & put the $38.60 back in2 my Chking, canceled out my bank card, & got a new 1. So that’s what people might have to do also. Call ur bank they will tell you there will be more payments coming off ur Credit Card or bank card. That lousie company said they were gonna refund me to , but i never got my refund back, their liers. And I agree with Elaine, they r scammers 4 real. Oh, never cash a check ifit was so called sent to you with a bank name on it, check it out 1st, trust me, I got scammed on that 2.World’s full of dishonest crooks. No 1 gives ya free $ , especially when its too good 2 b true.

    • Watch out they will keep charging you they did so many of us ,swiped 38.60 3 times out of my account ,now have to get a new oneetc

  27. I also ordered the diffuser necklace and was swept to three different screens advertising the essential oils. There were so many pop up screens with bargains I did not read the small print. What a scam operation to automatically enroll me in a monthly fee of $38.60. I will never purchase from the company again. It is kind of sad too because I did like the diffuser necklace. I am so upset and angry!

  28. Ya, I just saw the $ 38. 60 on my online chking account. I’m so mad that they charged me that too. I love my necklace & got 1 for my daughter. But I also do not see the fine print. I certainly won’t be ordering from ya’ll again. Talked to my bank, they said it says on their end reicurring payments from that company. Cancel out ur card, I’m sure ur bank will send you another one.

  29. I have really began my journey with essential oils recently- and just keep getting more and more intrigued with the benefits! It’s no wonder the first time I saw a locket necklace that was made specifically for essential oils- I was hooked! Now I can have my oils portable and with me at all times!

This is a wonderful and very elegant looking locket! It is antique like-a sort of vintage look. It is designed so pretty to wear every day! It sort of looks like a flower, but the smaller loops almost look Like little hearts. I love that it is 24″ long. The chain is nice and sturdy and the locket is well made. It is long enough to pul overhead. You coils of course put this locket on any chain you wish.

It is very easy to open yet it stays locked well and tight. It has not given me any trouble opening on its own. I had a locker that used to do that! It comes with 5 colored pads to place inside the necklace. These are washable and make a great way to coordinate you outfit as well.

I am thrilled to be able to take my favorite essential oils on the go! It is great and convenient and I can still get the wonderful benefits when I am away from home!

  30. I’ve had this necklace over three months now, and I love it.

PRO: It is made of high-quality metal, and the solid back keep oils from getting on your clothing.

PRO: The extra pads included with the necklace allow for easy changes in color and/or fragrance.

PRO: It is attractive, and I have gotten several compliments on it.

PRO: The Oilganic company sends customers follow-up messages and does their best to ensure your satisfaction with their products.

CON: The locket doesn’t open as wide as I expected; so if I set the necklace down while I’m refreshing the fragrance pad, it will close itself back up every time. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to get back open.

PROs &CONs: My diffuser came with the “25-inch chain.” The chain seems much sturdier than a typical necklace made of loops, is a great length for different styles of clothing, and is comfortable to wear. The chain occasionally snags on certain types of sweaters, though.

OVERALL: I am really glad I made this purchase, and I love this necklace! I made up my own “perfume” with vanilla extract and several essential oils. I am excited to enjoy smelling so great without my allergies flaring up like they do with store bought perfumes!

  31. If you, too, got caught in these nasty business practices, get out fast. It is a big scam & you will incur monthly charges. Do not trust this company. And if you can’t trust their business practices, you certainly can’t trust the quality of their products. If they offered quality products they wouldn’t be lowering themselves to this sort of scamming. When I got my cc bill I tried all day to call them, but they won’t answer their phone. This sort of business practices is ruining our nation and our internet. You can’t trust Oilganic.

    • I agree! WORST company ever!! I’m canceling my credit card and I’m mad at myself for falling for this scam shame on me. I own my own busy and I will be sure to pass the word on that this company is a scam!

  32. A SCAM! YOU ARE PROMOTING A SCAM. THEY KEPT GETTING MONEY FROM MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT SENDING PRODUCT. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. HOW DO YOU STOP THEM FROM THIS FRAUD?! ALL THE GOOD COMMENTS ARE BOGUS. WHY DO YOU PROMOTE SCAMMERS LIKE THIS?

    • I POSTED COMMENT ON THEIR FACEBOOK ABOUT ALL THE CHARGES THEY MADE ON MY CREDIT CARD. 3 CHARGES BY THE TIME I CAUGHT IT. THEY REMOVED ALL THE COMMENTS OF COURSE – A SIGN OF A FRAUDULENT COMPANY. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED ABOUT REFUNDING MY MONEY. NO ONE IS STILL ANSWERING THE PHONE. ****EVERYONE WHO READS THIS: PLEASE DO PEOPLE A FAVOR AND LET THEM KNOW OILGANIC (WITHOUT THE S) IS A SCAM. I HAVE TO GO THRU THE HASSLE OF CANCELLING MY CREDIT CARD AND WAITING FOR A NEW ONE. I DON’T KNOW WHY FRAUDS LIKE THIS GET AWAY WITH STEALING PEOPLE’S HARD EARNED MONEY.

      • I too didn’t read the fine print but only had one charge before I caught it. I emailed Tiffani and asked about the charge. She emailed me back within minutes with an explanation and the agreement. She also immediately canceled the membership when I asked her to.

      • I have $38.60 that was charged today for so called membership that I did not do or accept. They won’t answer their phones, they removed my comments off of Facebook and will not allow me to message them on there anymore. What kind of SCAM business is this when they won’t respond back and keep taking your money? I told Tiffini that if this charge was not removed, that I’d be filing a fraudulent charges with my bank and contacting the BBB and reporting them.

        • We need to do that. Those pop ups come up and you could not go make to make changes ..they have it set up to scam us good

  33. I recently received my Aromatherapy Diffuser Pendant Necklace and I love it. The chain is a fantastic length and the pendant itself is a generous size (about the size of a silver dollar).

I used peppermint and eucalyptus oil in it the first day I wore it, because I’ve been having bad sinus headaches, and the ability to have the oils around my neck while I worked was awesome! I love that I can add several drops to the pad, and it never gets on my clothing, but smells strong enough to keep my sinuses painfree all day.

I highly recommend this necklace to anyone who enjoys the benefits of aromatherapy. This also would make a wonderful gift, which is exactly what I plan to do for Christmas. Thanks for making such a terrific product…..I’ll be buying more of your items in the coming months :)

  34. I read this page before ordering so I knew to decline the free oil offer. When I did that another offer came up, of FOUR bottles of different oils! They were not $1 but $29.95 for all four. I decided to go ahead and get them. That’s a good price if the oil is as good as it’s described, on and off the oilganics.com website. I will try to cancel the membership thing before they charge me. One other thing that bothers me – I would infer from the name that this product is organic, but I don’t see that claim anywhere. That’s also very scam-y. I hope I get the products I paid for and they’re good!

  35. I was strongly considering ordering it. I am glad I looked online and found this site. Seems if you refuse the oil you don’t get into extra charges. But, the company seems unscrupulous to need to mislead people this way. So, I would rather go through Amazon. they seem to have products similar from $13-$20. May be more, but at least I don’t have to worry about my card getting charged at random. I hope all of you ladies get your money back. #shameful

  36. I LOVE my necklace. It’s the perfect size/length. It’s great to know that if I smell something unpleasant and don’t have a spray or mist, I can reach down to bring it to my nose for a scent I love. It’s well made and came on time. I also like that the material won’t cause a reaction since I have very sensitive skin.

Most jewelry causes me to break out around my neck and requires weeks, if not months, to clear up. At least with this, I can still wear something pretty with whatever I wear.

Also, the company followed up with me to see if I am enjoying my purchase and let me know that if I need anything to let them know. Will definitely purchase with this company again.

  37. I bought this for my adult daughter raising and schooling two young boys. It ended up being even prettier than the pictures here when she rushed me 2 photos of her wearing it and said:

“THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM — I HAVE WANTED ONE OF THESE FOR YEARS!”

She has her own combination of essential oils that she uses in it as a perfume plus as each oil has medicinal properties, it creates calming clarity and health. Her combo is similar to theives oil with more that make it the perfect scent. And the SOLID BACK of this BEAUTIFUL essential oil diffuser prevents any oils from touching your skin while — in her words —

“it is so much better down below my nose than in a big diffuser set in a room!”

Because the medicinal scents and all their beneficial properties are with her everywhere!

  38. I too fell for this scam. Guess I should have read it fully, but the “deals” kept popping up and I didn’t read through them all. They sent me the same bs about 14-day trial membership. I did dispute the charge with my bank but I doubt anything will come from it. I also canceled the membership through email with a confirmation of cancellation. I will let everyone know about this company’s tricky business dealings. BEWARE CONSUMER!!!

    • Oilganics just sent me an email saying they are refunding the charge. Will wait to see if it is credited back to my account. I told them I was filing a dispute with my bank and reporting them to Better Business Bureau. I also posted complaints on their facebook page (as did my husband once they blocked me, then they blocked him) and sent them numerous (and not too nice) emails. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, so if this happened to you, keep blasting them with emails, internet and facebook complaints. They may offer to refund your money, but be sure to cancel the membership immediately and/or cancel your credit/debit card.

      • Hi Lisa! OILGANIC did that to me and now they removed the Comment feature in their Facebook. No email saying they are refunding the charges. The thing is I never signed up for the membership nor received any products and they had the gall of charging me 3x. It’s a pain to have to cancel my credit card. KEEP EXPOSING OILGANIC SCAM whenever you have the chance. Was it helpful to report them to BBB? Did you report them to FTC as well?

  39. I loved my diffuser necklace so much, that my daughter wanted one in the tree of life design. So this was the perfect product to get her. She loves the smell of lavender oil and having the various pads to put into the diffuser necklace she can match it with any outfit that she has and still take lavender or any essential oil that she wants to use that day in her diffuser necklace. The necklace hangs in a perfect spot, not too long and not too short. When you place essential oils on the pad within the diffuser you are able to get a distinct aroma of them all day long without fail. She loves this diffuser necklace and has received many compliments on the design and style as well as how it projects the essential oil scents.

  40. Everyday I keep hearing about aromatherapy and the benefits of using essential oils. I have heard it boosts your immune system, can relive stress, muscle aches and even cure insomnia..just to name a few of the benefits! There are many different kinds of essential oils out there so you can find the one that meets your needs. Or if you just want to have a more natural smelling perfume..it works great for that as well. I am excited to add some more essential oils to my collection now and see what benefits I can get from them with this beautiful necklace.

This beautiful necklace is your chance to see how aromatherapy can work for you. It is a truly unique piece of jewelry in and of itself..and BONUS it is also an essential oil necklace!!

I have had locket type necklaces in the past and have always had a problem opening and closing them, usually ending up with breaking the clasp itself. I have no problem opening or closing this locket and it stays closed. It is solid in the back so you don’t have to worry about getting the oil accidently on your clothes. I actually find myself holding it in my hand and rubbing on the back of it like a worry stone, I just like how it feels!

The first day I started wearing my husband commented on how nice I smelled when he gave me a hug. I asked if the smell was coming from my necklace and he smelled the necklace and said yep! I have had numerous compliments also from coworkers on how pretty the necklace looks.

Included with the locket are five differnt colored felt pads so you can have five different scents/oils – the color barely shows through the cutouts, you really have to look hard to see the color. They are washable and reusable.

It is about an inch wide at the widest part of the teardrop and an inch and a quarter long.
It hangs down about 7 inches from my neck when wearing it.

  41. I wear this all the time!! I do use essential oils with the felt pads…it has never tarnised, scratched or changed texture. Looks brand new after several months of wearing it. I have a large bust size with a short stature…it hangs right past “the girls”…its a perfect length. I have worn it with scarves as well. It’s very light weight, I usually forget I am wearing it. I am a busy working mother and this has been caught on a few things and doesn’t break. I thought a few times “Oh shoot, I just broke my necklace!” But it’s still in tact! Nice chain. Fits over your head so you don’t need to use the clasp if you dont want to. I get compliments all the time and have several friends that have made this same purchase all are essential oil users and love this!

It’s fashionable and useful. I love my grounding blend and my wake up blends in this. I just lift it to my nose and breathe it in when I need to. Very happy with this purchase.

  42. I have suffered with seasonal allergies for over 50 years. (I am a “boomer”). I’ve taken allergy shots and tried most of the OTC meds. Dr prescribed FLONASE and instructed me to start taking Allegra in March, then take every day until July 1.

Last year, I followed his instructions, and by April 15, the Allegra was no longer effective. Just stopped working. Claritin does not work for me, and I’m concerned about taking Zyrtec. The original Sudafed works, but I read that decongestants are dangerous for those with high blood pressure.

I like the Neil-Med rinse, but it’s effects only last for a short time, then the sinus headache returns. I started researching the diffusers, and found this. I have no previous experience with fragrant oils, but I read that peppermint, lemon, & lavender are potent antihistamines, so I thought I’d give it a try.

After all, I figured, it couldn’t hurt. WOW! I wake up every morning with a sinus headache, and within MINUTES of putting on this necklace, my sinuses open up and I have relief!

  43. THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GOT BACK FROM OILGANIC. Isn’t it funny Everyone Else and Myself did Not See This when ordering!! I GUESS WE ALL MISSED IT. NOT!!

This was from the bonus Orange oil for $1 plus a free 14 trial into our Ounce of Prevention Alliance.

This was the page where we offered the bonus bottle plus a free 14 day trial into our Ounce of Prevention Alliance:
    http://pure.oilganic.com/wait-get-this-orange-oil-for-1

By clicking the button you agreed to the terms to 14 day trial membership and the additional oil for $1.

On that page we explain the details of that membership. The 14 days passed and the membership started as a result. There is no long term obligation and you can cancel at anytime.

I’ve pasted those details below for your convenience.

“I understand that the OOPA will include 1 bonus bottle of sweet orange oil in my package for just $1.00 by clicking the red button above. The total amount I pay today will be just $1.00. My sweet orange oil will be shipped via standard mail along with my previous necklace order. The OOPA would like to add the 1 bottle of oil to your package as a big thank you for taking the OOPA for a test drive. By taking the 1 bottle of oil you agree to a 14 Day FREE trial membership to the Ounce of Prevention Alliance. If you love being in the OOPA, do nothing and you’ll be billed normal OOPA dues of $38.60 per month after your free trial. I realize there is NO contract or long term obligation and I can cancel at anytime and still keep my Oilganic Orange Oil, and the newly released Guide for FREE just for giving the OOPA a chance. Please express ship me my package! ”

We make sure to put this right below the button so you don’t have to go hunting for the details like some try and do and in very clean and plain language to ensure people are informed.

It sounds like you might have missed that part, or not read it fully?

The reason we’ve done this promotion is to introduce people to our products and give a chance to join our community and membership. We actually lose money on this offer (over $30) but we’re okay with that since people are giving our membership a try.

We encourage you to set that up and get access right awayon the receipt page so you don’t have to go hunting for it in your emails: https://pure.oilganic.com/order-completed-details

I can help you access your membership or cancel your membership so no future payments will go out, just let me know.

    • Cindy Callahan this is all great but what about those of us that are telling you that we ordered the necklace and received absolutely nothing, can’t reach a representative by phone and can’t get a response to a message. You took our money, didn’t ship our product and are not responding to us. How do you suggest we handle that?????

  44. I too think I have been scammed. The necklaces I ordered were advertised as “free”. I paid a $6.95 each charge for shipping, and then my card was charged again just yesterday–for double the amount this time. I have cancelled my card and disputed the last charge. What a pain!

  45. I, too, was surprised by the $38.60 charge. I called the number shown on my credit card (801-901-3022) and left a message. I emailed [email protected] and requested a refund of the $38.60. I got a message back about how I must not have noticed the fine print during my order. Apparently, when you agree to try the orange essential oil for $1 you start a trial membership, which if you don’t cancel within 14 days results in the $38.60 charge. It’s hard to cancel a free 14 day trial you don’t know about! What a scam. I emailed back to cancel my membership immediately, so hopefully they will not charge me again. I am doubtful I will get $38.60 back. Very disappointing that you conduct business this way, Oilganic. It will be the only money you get from me, ever.

  46. I’m just starting out so trying to learn all I can on how to use essential oils. Right now my biggest concern are my pets. I have a german shepherd plus 4 cats and 2 of the cats are having some serious issues. My cat Jack has chronic ear infections and so far the Vet’s remedies aren’t working. He had a cyst mostly removed from his ear and biopsy for cancer was negative. Now looking to treat his ear issue with essential oils. I know Frankincense is anti-cancer but that isn’t the problem. Any suggestions? Plus both Jack and my dog have allergy issues that also are affecting their ears….

    • you posted this in july. its now jan 2017. chronic ear infections could be caused by allergies! I found that olive leaf extract taken twice a day internally was the onlyyy thing that worked for us. if you haven’t found relief yet,try that :) god bless!

  47. I ordered mine about a week ago and they just arrived! I started using the orange oil that came with it on the pads and got plenty of compliments on the look and smeel. I really wish I could find more info on which one does what, but it seems like everyone has there own take on things.

  48. Scam. Finally replied to me, that I can cancel but no refund. Not their problem. NO customer service. They are desperate for money and will never refund. They NEVER answer the phone. I told them I was going to post on their Facebook site, so they blocked me. I posted on my site. I will tell anyone anyhere was a scam this is. STAY AWAY!!!!!

  49. I also ordered the necklace, saw NO mention of being charged later $38.60. NO ONE answers the phone, received an email toting how good the product and what a great deal membership is and that I must have “missed” the fine print. Supposedly I can cancel anytime, however, no one answers phone and due to other post here I am seriously worried that I am going to have to close my bank account or pay these stupid charges. I am very ticked off!!!!! I did reply to their stock email answer that I want to cancel however, who wants to bet that it is a lie, looks like it by all the problems others have had. If someone gets others to look into it, let me know and I will join the case!!!!!!

    • Same thing happened to me. I’m calling the better business bureau and putting these scammers out of business. I was charged two months in a row of $38.60. Call your credit card company and close out that account so they can no longer get any money and also put in a dispute. I tried calling them first and no answer. How surprising!

      • REPORTED AS SCAM and sent all the negative comments from you ladies on this site. I put it on Facebook and will continue to do so everyday until they are out of business. Oilganic messed with the wrong person!!!

  50. I have sensitive skin so I never really tried any essential oils, so I really liked the idea of wearing a necklace instead. If you have sensitive skin I would give this a try, plus they are super cute

  51. the necklace is nice, i gave a few away as gifts and everyone liked them so far. if you’re sensitive to oils i suggest using a citcrus type oil to begin, becuase they are fairly mild.

  52. they are very nice and come with several inserts in different colors to place your scent on. I got 5 and gave them as gifts, 2 other girls were at the luncheon and wanted to know about them, so I just sent them the link. well worth the shipping cost, the oils are very good too.

  53. New to oils, so go easy on me :). I saw the necklace deal and thought I’d try this along with the oils they had. The necklace itself is very pretty and comes with like 5 little pads. I just do a few drops and it last a long time. Still looking for some help on which oils are the best to use, would appretiate any advice!

  54. I was charged 2 months after I got the “free” necklace a 38.60$ Charge from my acct. I called the contact # I saw listed here and was assured he was going to look into it and get back to me that day. Now nobody even answers the phone.

  55. I have been using essential oils off and on now for a few years and have really enjoyed it, but got them through a friend in one of the mlm’s. I started using oilganics oils because of this necklace deal they had. I now use their oils exclusively because I can skip the whole mlm stuff and just get what I want for such a lower cost.

  56. I got my necklace and oils faster than expected and enjoyed all the info and suggestions as I’m just getting into essential oils.

  57. I, too, am being charged t\$38.60. I am simply outraged!! I cannot afford this automatic deduction. What a despicable scam. Does anyone know how to stop it?

    • This is a scam. Get out fast. Call your bank and let them know. Dispute the charges and explain you were scammed. Make sure no more money is taken out. Never again give out account information to a company you don’t know.

  58. Barbara Snyder, call customer service…801 901 3022, I ordered necklace also, but no oil along with it…your post made me call the company, did not want to get stuck with what you are dealing with, was assured there will be no extra charge because I declined oils.

  59. It is a scam, I did not want the oil so I opted out of the deal, and today got the necklace in mail. Scary…think I will call my Bank to see what i can do.

  60. I am writing to ask why my debit card has been charged 38.60 every month since the original 6.95 for s&h has been paid..March 18. For a “free necklace”. Charges were then taken out 38.60 March 31–May 5th–and now June 1!! WHY???? What am I being charged these amounts for. All I have gotten to show for this is a necklace & one bottle of oil! I need an explanation please! What a scam!! A $122.75 scam!

    • This is definitely a scam, don’t do it. They have done the same thing to me as they did to the other reviewers above. There needs to be an investigation into their practices. I will take it back to my bank Has anyone reported this? I will definitely take this to my bank and I know they will make a full investigation on this company. They have helped me in the past. I am out $77.20 so far. I will stop them somehow. Maybe we should a TV station involved. They do stories on scammers.
