What is the Nature Nates?
An independent farming company, Nature Nate's was developed and owned by Nathan Sheets, who titled his eponymous brand after the nickname he received in college for his love of nature.
In 1996 Nate bought his first beehive as a hobby; by the next year he was filling bottles of pure honey in his garage. Today Nature Nate’s has grown to a family of over one hundred employees and operates from a 12 acre farm. After being tested by two different labs for unwanted additives the unpasteurized honey is shipped from their bottling plants to markets across the country.
A number of recipes are available on the company's website, in which their honey adds an extra dimension; honey is a natural sweetener and can be used to add flavor and replace refined sugar. The product line includes sweet, simple, and pure honey made from a variety of crop-types as well as fruit syrups.
The success of Nature Nate's has allowed for Nate and his employees to assist various charity organizations including the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., seedeffect.org and The Samaritan Inn.
How Does Nature Nate's Work?
Nature Nate’s Honey, just like any honey, begins with bees. Nectar is collected from a variety of wildflowers by the bees and stored in beehives, which are carefully tended to by professional beekeepers.
Some of the honey in Nature Nate’s product line comes from Brazil, and as such has a different flavour then the honey collected by bees throughout America. Tropical Blossom honey has been collected from a variety of different crops; this adds accents of different flavors in accordance to the flower types that the bees visited.
Working in partnership with commercial beekeepers who transport their beehives all over America depending on weather and blooming seasons, Nature Nate’s is able to determine where and what flowers the honey came from by testing the pollen within the honey.
Raw honey is extracted from the beehives where it is then tested at two labs, one Nature Nate’s own and the other a third-party; every batch of Nature Nate’s honey is tested. This is when the pollen testing takes place, as well as rigorous testing for any unwanted additives such as pesticides, herbicides or antibiotics that may have been picked up by the bees.
Nature Nate’s does not pasteurize their honey because pasteurizing destroys enzymes that are found in raw honey. Their honey is not put through a heavy filtering process because it removes pollens, which are integral to the unique taste of the honey, but rather only slightly warms and then lightly strains their honey to remove wax and bee parts. The honey is then bottled in BPA-free plastic bottles and shipped around the country.
Ingredients in Nature Nates
All of Nature Nate’s products contain 100% pure, unfiltered honey. Some honeys have been manufactured from different crops in varying locations, which are reflected in the flavor of each honey.
Each product is tested for unnatural, unwanted additives, and their honey syrups contain real fruit flavor from blueberry, strawberry or raspberry.
When properly sealed and stored in a cool, dry place Nature Nate’s honey can keep indefinitely, but should not be refrigerated. Because Nature Nate’s Raw and Unfiltered Honey is not pasteurized it may over time harden and resemble candy. This is called crystallization and does not mean the honey has gone bad.
If crystallization occurs consumers should avoid microwaving as it destroys the enzymes within the honey. If crystallization occurs the bottle may be placed in a pan of water on low heat to melt the crystals and return the honey to its liquid state.
Raw honey should not be fed to infants younger than one year or women who are breastfeeding.

Was googling whether your product was real because I did buy it at Sam’s. I normally purchase my honey from Florida, tupelo. Haven’t been in a while and ran out. I found the letter from the FDA warning you about making healing claims. That made me love your product. I hate the western medical community and the FDA.
