MyVessyl – iPhone Connected Smart Cup Measures Hydration Needs?

on

We all know water is important for our health. If you don’t know this, you deserve the dehydrated and dry lip fate that awaits you.

Water has a interesting timeline. It went from virtually the freest and most abundant thing on the planet, to something that we purchase in plastic bottles which further pollutes our planet.

But water’s journey isn’t done yet. On the contrary my friends. H2O’s adventure is just beginning.

Why do I say this? Because the company My Vessyl has a unique twist on water that will surely capture your attention.

Let’s take a look.

About MyVessyl

My Vessl is a company that develops products that help keep the world hydrated at the most optimal levels.

As soon as I got to their site, I noticed one thing; these people are great at marketing. Really. I mean, I’ve never seen visuals like these on a website. And that’s a lot when you consider their product is about water and hydration.

I for one never knew hydration was this important. I mean, of course I knew drinking water was something that we humans should do, but these guys make it look like the holy grail.

With all that being said, I don’t know if I buy everything they’re claiming. Sure, hydration has it’s benefits, but one gets the impression that’s it’s a pancea when watching the video on their site.

Speaking of their site, it was beautiful but extremely hard to navigate. IT’s like one of those futuristic sites that respond to the users actions. Very sleek, very modern, very annoying.

I don’t want to go on a King Arthur type quest to find out what a company actually does. It took at least 5 minutes before I knew they were talking about water.

This is not a good thing.

I’m normally not to fond on companies that are heavy marketers. I mean, marketing is fine and definitely necessary, but the problem comes in when companies rely on it as a crutch.

And that’s exactly what Myvessl does. They’re leaning on the crutch and partitioning all of their weight on it. I’m sure it buckles under the pressure.

If your product really needs as much aestectic and mystery as Myvessyl does, there’s obviously something wrong.

What companies like this one fail to realize is that cream always rises to the top. If you create a high-quality product, people will find it. “If you build it, they will come” is a half truth. It should read “If you build it and it’s good, they will come”.

I’m not knocking the product the company makes, I just think the marketing outshines the actual product. And that’s never good.

Anyway, let’s take a look at this product that they’ve put so much marketing energy behind. It’s called the Pryme Vessyl.

Pryme Vessyl

Ok, so as I said earlier, it was way too difficult to find information about this product. But finally, after 5 minutes of confusion, I think I have a firm understanding of what Pryme Vessyl is.

Pryme Vessyl is a futuristic water bottle. Yep, that’s it.

This water bottle’s main function is to make sure it’s owner stays hydrated. The good people over at My Vessyl claim that the 8 bottles a day idea is a myth. But rather, each person should hydrate according to their personal needs.

When one does this, there’s a light on the bottle that turns blue which symbolizes that one has reached their “Prime”.

Your prime is just your peak state of hydration, and apparently, that comes with many benefits.

Some of the benefits of reaching your prime include;

In short, water is good for you. Who knew?

My Vessyl provides tons of research to back up these claims, to which I must say; Who is spending all of this money to do redundant research on water?

Here’s the thing, we’re now living in a world of remixes. What do I mean by that? We’re starting to see old fashion be born again, old movies being revamped, and now things like water are becoming rebranded.

It all just seems like a colossal waste of time and resources. But who am I to judge?

I will admit, the bottle is cool. And the fact that it can sync with your phone or watch in order to monitor you hydration is somewhat compelling. But at the end of the day, if you drink more water, you’ll be fine.

Trust me, you don’t need a bottle that looks like it came out of an episode of “The Jestsons” to remind you to drink more water. Just drink more water.

Plust this thing is like $100. Yikes.

I mean, you can do what you want. But this isn’t something that will be found in my home.

Pryme Vessyl Review Summary

Ok, so we have a glorified water bottle that tells you when you’re thirsty.

The water that it reminds you to drink has many benefits that the world was unaware of until now (note the sarcasm)

And this fantastic water bottle will cost you $100 dollars….. For a bottle…. that you put water in… Come on people.

Listen, if you’re a futurist, by all means drink up. But if you’re a minimalist, like me, save your time and money. Just let these other guys waste their money on gadgets that won’t solve their real problem. Their deep and penetrating sadness.
