What Is Lotus Elixirs?
Lotus Elixirs are a line of energy drinks that feature non-GMO ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors, or additives.
Lotus Elixirs currently come in three flavors: wild berry infused Blue Lotus, cranberry infused Red Lotus, and raspberry infused Pink Lotus. A zero-calorie citrus-each infused Gold Lotus flavor is coming soon.
Lotus Elixirs Features
Every serving of Lotus Elixirs each contains 750mg of a proprietary blend of “adaptogens,” a term arising from herbal medicine and holistic medical treatments used to describe natural substances that help the body to adapt to stressful conditions.
While the greater scientific community is less than enthusiastic with the term adoptogen, it’s an accepted term in the herbal medicine community when it comes to referring to certain botanicals like those used in making Lotus Elixirs.

Lotus Elixirs Customer Reviews
Amazon customers have responded relatively favorably to Lotus Elixirs, with these products garnering 3.9 out of 5 stars across 67 reviews. A full 73% of these were 5-star reviews, which is often a strong indicator of how well-received the product is.
Pros:
- Great Taste – Time and again, reviewers have claimed that the taste of these beverages is light and refreshing, making it an enjoyable experience.
- Low Sugar – Many have praised Lotus Elixirs for their relatively low sugar content, and the fact that one serving is just 60 calories.
- No Crashes – Reviewers have reported that coming down from Lotus Elixirs doesn’t cause an energy crash like some other energy drinks.
- Excellent for Energy – Customers said the product does provide them with an extra boost of energy when needed.
- Stress Relief – Several reported feeling much less stressed after drinking Lotus Elixirs. Whether this is the adaptogens at work or just a placebo effect is unknown.
Cons:
- Relatively Pricey – The price of Lotus Elixirs is relatively on par with some of the more medium-priced energy drinks out there. This is still a bit on the pricey side for some people. Additionally, these are only available in 12-packs, and only in one flavor at a time.
- Palate Problems – Despite the otherwise overwhelming positive feedback on the taste of these products, some have simply said the flavors used in Lotus Elixirs wasn’t to their liking. Claims of being overly powerful, not powerful enough, too sugary, not sweet enough, and so on seem to indicate that this may simply be a case of personal preference.
Lotus Elixirs Summary
Lotus Elixirs seems to be a relatively well-reviewed and respectable all-natural energy drink that focuses on eliminating the use of artificial flavors and ingredients as much as possible. To that end, it may be a safer alternative to other energy drinks that have been criticized for being too harsh on the human body.
Whether the adaptogens in Lotus Elixirs’ proprietary blend of extracts is indeed effective in providing energy and reducing stress is something that is hard to determine.
Some of these ingredients have inconclusive or minor evidence supporting some of these claims; Schisandra, for example, has been evaluated by scientists for possibly providing better mental alertness in some instances.
Additionally, ginger is known to reduce stomach upset. However, investigations into the effectiveness of lotus as an adaptogen is still inconclusive.
Despite the lack of evidence for some of these substances, they are all likely safe in the amounts contained within Lotus Elixirs.
If nothing else, these products may make for a pleasant change from more processed, awful-tasting energy drinks that rely on high doses of sugar and caffeine to keep you awake.
Are energy drinks the best thing for you ever? Of course not. Still, Lotus Elixirs look about as dangerous as your typical cup of coffee, at least from the information available on the product. As long as you don’t drink an entire case in one sitting, you can likely rest safe knowing you’re not putting yourself in danger.
The only wrinkle is that you may have to order Lotus Elixirs directly from Amazon. As a startup, the company doesn’t have much of a distribution network, so it may be hard to find a retail outlet that carries the products. This means you’ll have to order a full 12-pack just to give one of the flavors a try.
Since none of the shipping options are for a mixed shipment of more than one flavor, you would ostensibly have to make three separate full orders just to get a taste of each flavor. You might want to go in on a case with your friends, your co-workers, or another group of people who are likely to enjoy energy drinks like your gym partners.
This could help to spread the cost around a bit and make it less of a disappointment if you turn out to not enjoy the particular flavor you ordered. Then again, if you do happen to like it, sharing just means having to re-order sooner.
