Hydroxatone Review
Hydroxatone is a skin care product manufacturer that sells a variety of different skin creams and serums. Here’s our Hydroxatone review.
What is Hydroxatone?
Hydroxatone is an American skin care product manufacturer that sells dozens of different creams, serums, and skin care products. The company is based in Hoboken, New Jersey and primarily sells its skin care supplements online.
Hydroxatone has become famous for its risk-free trials. A number of Hydroxatone products qualify for these risk-free trials, which let you try a product for “free” (you just pay shipping and handling for around $8 to $10).
The trial period ends after 30 days, after which you’re charged between $100 and $150 for a two month supply of the product. You’ll also receive an additional shipment of your Hydroxatone and be automatically signed up for the autoship program.
The company’s motto is “Rejuvenating beauty through science”.
Hydroxatone Products
Hydroxatone sells dozens of different products that can be separated into the following categories:
— Anti-Aging
— Moisturizers and Repair Creams
— Cleansers
— Smoothing Sprays
— Self Tanners
— BB and CC Creams
— Mascaras
You can also buy Hydroxatone gift sets for between $60 and $200.
Hydroxatone Risk-Free Trials
As mentioned above, Hydroxatone is famous for its risk-free trials. Like a lot of “free” trials online, Hydroxatone’s free trials can cost you more than you think.
Eligible free trial products include:
— Hydrolyze Advanced Under Eye Formula
— Celtrixa Stretch Mark Lotion
— Declatone Neck and Decollete Complex
— Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex
— Keracalm Smoothing Spray
— Hydroxatone 90 Second Wrinkle Reducer
The free trials all work in a similar way. As an example, I’ll explain how the Hydrolyze Advanced Under Eye Formula trial works below:
— The product is priced at $79.95 regularly.
— If you click the “Risk-free trial” button, you’ll receive an offer to try the cream for free for 30 days.
— This free trial costs $8 ($7.95 shipping plus state tax, if eligible). You enter your credit card information to pay that charge.
— Two full-sized products are shipped to your address (2 month supply). You have 30 days to try the product. After those 30 days, you’ll be billed $69.95 twice: the first charge is to cover the first jar, and the second charge is to cover the second jar.
— You will continue to receive shipments of Hydrolyze Advanced Under Eye Formula every two months (two jars) until you cancel, and your credit card will continue to be charged $69.95 every month along with a $7.95 shipping and processing charge.
— You can call anytime within the first 30 days to cancel your trial, in which case you’ll need to return the unused product to the manufacturer.
What Do Customers Have to Say About Hydroxatone Products?
If you look at Hydroxatone reviews online, you’ll mostly find complaints from disgruntled customers. The vast majority of these customers were lured into a Hydroxatone trial without fully understanding the terms of the agreement.
That’s why the ConsumerAffairs.com page for Hydroxatone has a 1 star rating out of 5 with nearly 400 reviews.
Customers complain that the products they received were of subpar quality. They also claim that products were sent – and credit cards were billed – even weeks after they issued a formal cancellation request.
Many customers also claim the company is a scam with atrocious customer service.
In spite of these poor reviews, Hydroxatone reviews at SkinStore.com are generally positive. Customers have awarded several products 5 stars out of 5, including the Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream ($39) and the Hydroxatone Intensive Overnight Repair Cream ($59).
