The company was founded in Europe by Dr. Elizabeth Blumenthal. Elysee moved to America in 1940. Today, the company is owned by Linda Marshall, who purchased the company in 1972. The company continues to be a family-owned and operated business to this day.

What Does Elysee Cosmetics Sell?
Elysee Cosmetics sells a range of different makeup and skin care products. Key product categories include:
— Face Makeup (including blush, concealers, foundations, and powders)
— Eye Makeup (including brows, eyeliners, eyeshadows, and mascara)
— Lips (including lip gloss, lip pencils, and lipsticks)
— Body Care
— Eye Care
— Lip Care
— Specialty Treatments
Elysee Cosmetics is famous for its proprietary formulas. One or more of these proprietary formulas can be found in most of the products in the above categories. Instead of individually listing all of the hundreds of Elysee Cosmetics products, I’ll just list the top four proprietary formulas:
ESCoDerm: This proprietary formula contains active peptides specially chosen to enhance skin comfort and reduce “microtensing”, which is a biological process that gives the face fine lines and wrinkles. ESCoDerm is described as a non-invasive alternative to Botox that helps to combat expression wrinkles without the powerful effects associated with Botox.
ESCollag: This formula contains algae and peptides in order to boost the synthesis of collagen III in the skin. It detoxifies the skin from free radicals and can also protect cells from photodamage or oxidative stress. In clinical studies, Elysee Cosmetics claims that ESCollag was able to boost collagen III production by 300% in just a single week.
ESCoMoist: ESCoMoist, as the name suggests, is a hydrating complex that promises to improve the moisture capacity of the skin. It boosts skin elasticity. According to the official Elysee Cosmetics website, it also “enhances the barrier function of the lipid layer, making the skin better equipped to combat external aggressions.”
ESCynthoFirm: This proprietary formula inhibits matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) in order to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This can boost the look of sagging skin and reduce dullness and lifelessness.
LaserCare: LaserCare is a unique product lineup specifically targeted towards those who recently underwent laser skin therapy. Laser skin therapy can burn away the top layer of the skin and require intensive post-treatment care. LaserCare aims to provide the post-treatment care people need to maximize the benefits of laser skin care while minimizing the side effects.
