Earwax MD is a proprietary formula that claims to dissolve your ear wax safely and easily with just one treatment. Read our review to find out how Earwax MD works.
What Is Earwax MD?
Earwax MD is a product found online at EarwaxMD.com. With just one Earwax MD treatment, you can dissolve your ear wax simply, easily, and safely. The product claims to be the first treatment designed to break up both the solid and liquid components of ear wax. So unlike conventional OTC treatments, you clean everything from your ear.
Earwax MD was created by a company called Eosera. That company claims to be “setting a new standard for biotechnology companies as a whole” by ‘changing the game on over-the-counter earwax removal products”.
Eosera – the company – is currently preparing to launch Earwax MD. They’re accepting preorders through the official website and through EarwaxMD.com. The company is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
How Does Earwax MD Work?
Earwax MD is an over-the-counter product that claims to be clinically proven to dissolve and remove unwanted earwax using new, patented technology more effective than anything on the market.
You don’t hear much about OTC earwax removal products. That’s because, according to Eosera, there has been “little to no innovation in earwax removal aids since the 1960’s”.
With that in mind, Earwax MD promises to be a safe and proven earwax removal system that lets you enjoy the natural, intended benefits of earwax (yes, it does have a purpose) while also enjoying better hygiene and better hearing.
Essentially, Earwax MD is a liquid solution that enters your ear. One treatment lasts 15 to 30 minutes. Over that time, the liquid dissolves excess earwax. The dual-action technology is specifically designed to dissolve excessive or impacted earwax to leave your ear canal clean and clear.
The treatment can be performed at home by following the instructions on the box. You can avoid a trip to the doctor and clean out your ears without leaving your home. Earwax MD is being marketed especially to those who use hearing aids, as earwax can significantly impact the performance of your hearing aid.
The Science Behind Earwax MD
Eosera published a paper online here explaining their Earwax MD technology and how it works. That paper, titled “Innovations in Cerumen Removal”, was published by Douglas Fullington, MD.
The paper explains that after one treatment with Earwax MD in studies, a majority of ear canals (53%) were completely clear of cerumen (ear wax). In addition, greater than 85% of all ears had total clearing of cerumen after 1 or 2 treatments. All but one ear showed a substantial reduction in cerumen after two treatments.
The paper concludes by stating that Earwax MD “demonstrated promising success at cerumen removal when used in combination with irrigation. This efficacy translated into a dramatic reduction in symptoms for these patients and should be considered for both in-office and at-home treatment of impacted cerumen.”
The study involved 12 participants, 90% of whom had earwax problems. The formula was also suggested for use as a protective agent, as patients at-risk of earwax buildup appeared to experience less buildup after using the liquid formula.

Earwax MD Review Summary
Eosera, the manufacturer of Earwax MD, claims that there have been few innovations in the earwax removal industry since the 1960s. Their product, Earwax MD, is a liquid formula that can be used at home to dissolve excess or impacted ear wax, leaving you with a clean and clear ear canal.
It comes in a 15mL (0.5 fl oz) bottle, and can easily be used at home without a trip to the doctor’s offices.
Earwax MD has gone through one clinical trial thus far. That trial involved 12 patients. All but 1 patient experienced total removal of earwax after 1 or 2 treatments. If you suffer from earwax problems, then Earwax MD may be the at-home OTC treatment you’ve been waiting for.
