What Is Blendtique?
Blendtique is a series of custom wine blending kits available to order online through Blendtique.com. The kits let you create your own unique blend. So the next time you have people over at your house, you can legitimately tell them that you made that wine.
With Blendtique, you create your own blend by selecting your percentages. You can create a 50% pinot noir and 50% shiraz blend, for example.
To create your own blend, Blendtique will ship a box of four wines to your door. The wines come with an Erlenmeyer flask and a 10mL pipette. It’s your job to embrace your inner winemaker and blend the four wines together however you like.
After you’ve created your own blend, Blendtique lets you make your own label or select your own label from templates online. You upload your recipe to the Blendtique website, and then Blendtique will make bottles of wine according to your unique percentages.
Then, Blendtique will mail the wine to your door.
Blendtique wines are sourced from the Santa Ynez Valley, the popular wine making region on the Central Coast. The founder of Blendtique has worked to promote local wines for the past decade.
Essentially, Blendtique is a wine making system for people who don’t actually want to have a wine making system in their homes. And, instead of making just one type of wine, you can make your own blend to build your own custom wine experience.

Who Makes Blendtique?
Blendtique Wine Company was founded by Billy Dim, who has worked around California’s Santa Ynez Valley wine industry over the past decade as it has exploded with growth.
Billy was encouraged to create Blendtique after he saw people coming to visit Santa Barbara, the central coast, and the Santa Ynez Valley to learn more about wine, but they left without actually participating in the wine making process.
As Billy explains, “A few short tastings, perhaps a bottle or two from their favorite vintner, and they’re on their way. Somehow, as an enthusiast, it didn’t seem fair. I expected more.”
Billy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. He also achieved his Master court of Sommelier’s Certification in 2010.

The first two wine making kits listed both include four bottles of wine. Each bottle is a carefully selected single varietal wine.
The wines are packaged into a wooden wine crate, which also includes a 250mL Erlenmeyer flask, a 10mL measuring pipette, and an instruction guide.
Once you have the wine kit, you can experiment with different percentages until you find one you like.
Then, once you’ve settled on the perfect blend for your unique tastes, you can upload it to the Blendtique website, and the company will send you additional bottles of that blend – complete with your own unique label.
