FDA Warns American Consumers About Dangers of ABX Weight Loss

ABX Weight Loss is a diet pill that comes with some potentially harmful side effects. The FDA just released a warning about ABX Weight Loss telling American consumers that it contains a controlled substance.

That controlled substance is Sibutramine, a chemical that was removed from the market in October 2010 for consumer safety. The FDA claims that Sibutramine poses a threat to consumers because it substantially increases blood pressure and pulse rates in certain users. As a result, it can significantly increase the risk of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, or stroke.

You can read the FDA’s full warning here.

The FDA performed laboratory analysis on ABX Weight Loss and confirmed the supplement contained Sibutramine. Pills can be purchased from the manufacturer’s official website at www.zxtbeepollenpills.com. The FDA also claims that the pill may be sold in some retail stores.

What Is ABX Weight Loss?

The official ABX Weight Loss website claims that they “make weight loss easy”. The website sells a number of dietary supplements that promise to make it easy for you to lose weight – including ZXT Bee Pollen Pills and Elite Weight Loss Supplements.

The company claims to manufacture its products in the United States. However, further information about the ingredient sources, manufacturing conditions, and other data is not listed on the site.

Obviously, Sibutramine was not listed on the ABX Weight Loss packaging.

The FDA claims that ABX Weight Loss is one of a growing number of dietary supplements that advertise one thing – but have little evidence backing up that claim. According to the FDA, this is a growing trend among dietary supplements promoted for sexual enhancement, weight loss, and bodybuilding. These supplements advertise themselves as “all natural”, but actually contain potentially harmful hidden ingredients.

What is Sibutramine?

Want to lose weight illegally? Sibutramine can help. Prior to 2010, Sibutramine was marketed and prescribed as a treatment for obesity. Doctors would prescribe the drug along with diet and exercise.

Unfortunately, the drug was quickly associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events and strokes, which forced it to be withdrawn from the market all over the world.

Sibutramine is classified as an oral anorexiant. It works in a similar way to amphetamines, working as a centrally-acting serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, or SNRI.

The drug was originally created by a Nottingham, UK-based company named Boots. It was produced and marketed throughout the 1990s.

Today, it’s a Schedule IV controlled substance. Other Schedule IV controlled substances include Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Modafinil, and Soma (Carisoprodol).

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, it’s recommended that you exercise extreme caution before purchasing any diet pill online – especially if it makes big promises about its weight loss effects. Some of the worst offenders come in innocent packaging – like ABX Weight Loss. If you previously purchased ABX Weight Loss, stop taking it immediately.
