Probulin P-PAK Review – 20 Billion CFU Probiotic + Prebiotic Bifidobacteria?

on

Probulin P-PAK (or just “P-PAK” for short) is a targeted once daily Probiotic + Prebiotic with a high concentration of beneficial Bifidobacteria. Here’s our P-PAK review.

What Is Probulin P-PAK?

P-PAK comes in packages of 10 shelf-stable capsules containing both a blend of different Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli in order to promote excellent gut health.

Probulin P-PAK Features: How Does It Work?

P-PAK features high doses of beneficial gut bacteria (probiotics) along with specialized dietary fiber used as food for these bacteria (prebiotics).

Combining both in one product provides for excellent growth potential for both the Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli in the product to flourish in the environment within the human digestive tract.

Who Makes Probulin P-PAK?

P-PAK is a product of NutraCenter Health Products and is sold under the Probulin trademark. NutraCenter was founded by Dr. Shekhar Challa, M.D. and his daughter Akhila Challa.

NutraCenter is based in Topeka, Kansas, has been in business for 17 years, and has an A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. Dr. Challa is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and has been practicing medicine for nearly 30 years as the president of the Kansas Medical Clinic.

The current CEO of NutraCenter is Jason Mitchell, N.D., a board-certified doctor of naturopathic medicine. Additional members of the NutraCenter team include certified nutritionists and certified natural health professionals. In addition to P-PAK, NutraCenter sells several other probiotics under the Probulin brand name.

Probulin P-PAK Ingredients

P-PAK contains shelf stable forms of 12 different probiotics.

These include 5 different Bifidobacteria blends – B. lactis, B. infantis, B. longum, B. breve, and B. bifidum – and 6 Lactobacillus strains – L. rhamnosus, L. plantarum, L. casei, L. casei, L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, and L. helveticus. P-PAK also contains Streptococcus thermophilus.

Additionally, each P-PAK capsule contains 100mg of Inulin, a prebiotic fiber that provides food for P-PAK’s probiotic blend. P-PAK’s ingredients are non-GMO, gluten free, feature no wheat, dairy, or soy, and are made without magnesium stearate.

Probulin P-PAK Pricing

P-PAK is available directly from the Probulin website for $17.99 for a 10-capsule package. While P-PAK is shelf stable, probiotics are always more potent when refrigerated, so Probulin ships P-PAK with special insulated packaging for an additional $8.99.

P-PAK is also available from brick-and-mortar retailers such as Vitamin Shoppe, which lists the price at $14.99 on its website. P-PAK is available from Amazon for $13.49.

Probulin P-PAK Reviews: What Do Customers Have to Say?

There doesn’t seem to be much user feedback on P-PAK, or on Probulin products in general, to pull from.

This makes it difficult to provide much in the way of guidance, but this is what we know:

Pros:

  • Natural Ingredients – P-PAK features gluten free, non-GMO ingredients and do not feature ingredients sourced from wheat, dairy, or soy.
  • This makes them friendly to individuals with many common food allergies or to those who wish to refrain from including GMOs in their diet.

Cons:

  • Expensive – With this product costing anywhere from $13-$18 for just 10 capsules meant to be taken daily, it’s an extremely expensive product, equating to around $45 for a month’s worth of probiotics.
  • No Review History – There’s absolutely no review history for this product.

Should You Buy Probulin P-PAK?

P-PAK, like any number of probiotics, is supposed to support better digestive health by populating your gut with beneficial bacteria that aid in the digestive process. Thanks to the inclusion of prebiotics as food for these beneficial bacteria, the theory goes that P-PAK creates lots of beneficial bacteria to that effect.

Sadly we just can’t evaluate how well P-PAK works, as it seems impossible to find any user reviews anywhere on the internet. Likewise other Probulin products don’t have much in the way of user reviews either, except for the isolated one or two in dark corners of the internet that provide positive but unsubstantiated claims.

Regardless, clinical studies have found evidence that probiotics do indeed provide for better intestinal and digestive health, helping treat ailments like diarrhea irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease.

This makes us feel that P-PAK is at least moderately successful at providing for better gastrointestinal health overall. However, P-PAK is certainly not cheap. This product is priced at anywhere from $1.30 to $1.80 per pill, making it an extremely expensive prospect to take this probiotic on a daily basis.

Part of the cost may be due to the high-quality materials used, as using non-GMO, gluten free ingredients that are milk, soy, and wheat free tend to be more expensive to use for manufacturing. Ultimately, we hesitate to recommend P-PAK because of its cost and the fact that there’s a decided lack of history when it comes to user reviews.

This seems a shame to us, because P-PAK’s manufacturer, NutraCenter, seems like a highly reputable company with a long history of creating sound personal health products that are safe and effective.

In a perfect world, we’d heartily recommend P-PAK. For now, we can simply caution that it’s a costly product and one seemingly without any review history. You are welcome to take a chance on P-PAK, but please be aware of the possible limitations of the product before purchasing.
