Biotherm Homme Review – Quality Choice?
Biotherm Homme recently signed a deal with David Beckham that sees the English footballer become the world’s first global ambassador for the skincare brand. Here’s our Biotherm Homme review.
What is Biotherm Homme?
Biotherm Homme is the men’s division of Biotherm, the skincare brand based in Paris, France and owned by L’Oréal. Biotherm has been making skincare products since 1952. The Homme lineup was launched in 1985.
In May 2016, Biotherm signed a deal with David Beckham. Today, Beckham is the first global ambassador for Biotherm Homme. But he’s not just a figurehead: Beckham is also collaborating on a full range of products from the brand, including bodycare, grooming, and skincare products that will be released in the future.
Here’s what Beckham had to say in an interview with Vogue:
“I've been thinking about developing a skincare range for a long time and it wasn't until I started speaking with Biotherm that it all came together. They are as ambitious as I am, and we look forward to showing everyone the fruits of our labor very soon,” Beckham said.
Biotherm Homme has always been popular in France, where products can be purchased at any pharmacy. However, the brand is now seeking expand worldwide – including to Beckham’s native England.
Beckham, by the way, retired from football in 2013. He hasn’t been lazy in his retirement, however, and has signed deals with a number of men’s product lineups, including an H&M partnership and a fragrance deal with Coty.
The deal was specifically signed with Seven Global, which is a joint partnership with David Beckham, Simon Fuller, and Global Brands.
Beckham’s collection under the Homme brand is expected to launch in 2017. Meanwhile, certain Biotherm Homme products are currently available online.

Aquapower Oligo-Thermal Care Ultra-Moisturizing
This moisturizer claims to provide “powerful daily hydration for men’s skin” along with an “instant cool sensation”. It’s a light, non-sticky gel that hydrates your dry skin for 48 hours straight. Active ingredients include the equivalent of 5000 liters of thermal spa water along with a blend of amino acids, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B5, and “Life Plankton”.
It’s available in sizes of 30mL, 75mL, and 100mL.
Force Supreme Youth Architect Serum
This skin care product promises to refirm and resurface your skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It smoothes fine lines and provides “instant toned radiance”.
Biotherm Homme encourages you to use Force Supreme in the day or evening alone or before your typical cream. It contains technology and ingredients that repair and rebuild the structure of your skin over time. Biotherm actually cites a study where these effects were proven (although the study was performed in vitro and not on human subjects).
It’s available in just one size: 50mL.
Total Recharge Care
This serum is designed to help you refresh your skin after a big night out (or a short night of sleep). It’s a skin energizer that wakens the skin and gives you a “4 hours extra sleep” effect. Your skin looks energized all day long.
You can purchase Total Recharge Care in a 50mL bottle. Key ingredients in the formula include pure ginseng, vitamin C, caffeine, and guarana, described as like an “energy drink for your skin”. There’s also spirulina algae to help improve the skin further.
Together, these three formulas make up the core of the Biotherm Homme product lineup. However, dozens of other skincare products are also available for purchase.
