Nootroo Review

Nootroo calls itself “The Gold Standard in Nootropics.” It uses unique gold and silver-colored pills to enhance brain power.

Find out everything you need to know about Nootroo today in our review!

What is Nootroo?

Nootroo is a nootropic supplement which consists of two pills: a gold and silver pill.

Unlike Neo in The Matrix, you don’t have to decide which pill to take. You take the gold pill one day, and the silver pill the next day.

The gold pill contains Noopept while the silver pill contains Phenylpiracetam. Both compounds are popular and well-known across the nootropic community.

Nootroo was launched in 2014 by Eric Matzner “and a team of talented individuals of diverse backgrounds.” The company is based in San Francisco, California.

How Does Nootroo Work?

Nootroo, like Nootrobox, can be ordered as a monthly subscription service or as a single product order.

You sign up at Nootroo.com, where you’ll find two different package options:

— Monthly Supply: $54.95
— Single Month Supply: $64.95

The packages are identical. You get 30 capsules in each package (15 silver and 15 gold). You take one capsule every day, alternating between silver and gold.

If you order the subscription package, you’ll receive a 1 month supply of Nootroo at your doorstep every month. Nootroo claims that there are long-term benefits of using Nootroo. Subscribers can also cancel at any time.

Nootroo Ingredients

Nootroo is actually two different pills with slightly different formulas. The two formulas differ only in their main ingredient.

The gold pill features Noopept as the main ingredient, while the Silver pill features Phenylpiracetam.

Both formulas contain CDP-Choline and a “proprietary ratio of L-Theanine & Caffeine, called SmoothCaffeine.”

There are two weird things about Nootroo’s list of ingredients:

First, it doesn’t explain how much of any ingredients are included within each Nootroo capsule. That’s a big problem for those who want to know exactly what they’re putting into their bodies – or why they should spend $55 on a pill with an unknown formula.

Second, Nootroo contains edible pure 23.5 carat gold flakes and 100% pure silver flakes. Why would someone want to eat pure gold and silver flakes? Your guess is as good as mine.

According to the manufacturer, the use of pure gold and silver was designed as:

“a way to distinguish between the two pills without using artificial coloring. It is an indicator of our focus on quality desire to using only the purest ingredients. We do not cut corners for cost and when you see the flakes you know you have genuine Nootroo.”

How to Use Nootroo

Using Nootroo is extremely straightforward. Here’s how the manufacturer recommends taking Nootroo:

“For fastest action, take the capsule on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes prior to eating.”

You take one capsule per day, alternating between gold and silver colors. Take it when you wake up just before breakfast.

The manufacturer claims that it will take about 10 minutes to kick in, and users should start feeling the full effects within 45 minutes.

You can take two Nootroo capsules per day if you like. According to the manufacturer, “it is similar to having a second cup of coffee in the afternoon.” You should still alternate between colors when taking two nootropics per day.

Benefits of Nootroo

Nootroo claims to offer all of the following benefits:

Enhance Learning And Memory

— Few Side Effects And Low Toxicity

— Enhance Firing Mechanisms Of Neurons, Leading To Better Memory And Cognitive Performance

— Protect The Brain From Physical Or Chemical Injuries

— Prevent The Disruption Of Learned Behaviors And Memory Formations

Nootroo also claims these benefits become more enhanced the longer you take the supplement, which is why it recommends users subscribe to the monthly plan.

The Nootroo Protocol

Nootroo aims to be more than just a nootropic supplement: it aims to be an entire lifestyle. The Nootroo Protocol is part of that lifestyle.

That protocol involves five different things:

— Meditation
— Exercise
Nootropics
— Diet
— Sleep

The maker of Nootroo recommends tracking your sleep with an app like Sleep Cycle so you always wake up during an optimal phase of sleep. It also recommends taking Nootroo every day, meditating for at least 10 minutes after taking Nootroo, eating clean foods based on the ketogenic or paleo diets, and exercising with brain training, high intensity interval training, and heavy weight training.

If you can do all of those things, then you will have successfully followed the Nootroo Protocol.

Who Should Take Nootroo?

Nootroo suffers from the same problem as other packaged nootropic supplements like Nootrobox: it just doesn’t have enough power to achieve the desired effects or justify the high price tag.

Those who are looking for nootropics typically want maximum power and maximum benefits. Nootroo doesn’t offer that. Instead, it’s a gentle cognitive boost which lasts for 4-5 hours – kind of like a cup of coffee.

There’s also the added oddity that Nootroo contains edible gold and silver flakes. Why? The manufacturer claims it’s to avoid the use of artificial coloring compounds and to certify the high-quality purity of the nootropic. In any case, you’re paying a big price premium for that benefit.

That being said, Nootroo is a good place for beginner nootropic users to start. It’s a convenient – albeit expensive – way to try out powerful nootropics like Noopept and Phenylpiracetam without ordering from shady, low-quality bulk suppliers online.
