Berocca is a dissolvable tablet that contains caffeine and natural guarana in order to boost your physical and mental energy. Discover what you need to know about Berocca today in our review.
What is Berocca?
Berocca is an energy-boosting supplement that comes in the form of a dissolvable tablet. You mix that tablet with water, stir, and drink it to support your physical and mental energy.
The tablet primarily contains caffeine and natural guarana. The manufacturer recommends you take it daily as needed. Other ingredients include zinc, vitamin C, and magnesium.
Berocca’s slogan is “Mental Sharpness + Physical Energy”. It’s primarily catered towards busy working professionals, but it can also be taken by overworked students, athletes, or anyone who needs an extra boost from time to time.
Berocca is sold in 70 countries around the world. It recently arrived in the United States and is now being sold at pharmacies and grocery stores across America.
How Does Berocca Work?
Berocca’s power comes from its unique formula. The ingredients chart resembles an energy drink and features high levels of B vitamins, guarana, and caffeine. The product contains about as much caffeine as one cup of coffee (90mg).
Other key ingredients include:
— Vitamin A: 10% of your daily value
— Vitamin C: 1667% daily value
— Thiamin (vitamin B1): 1000% daily value
— Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 882% daily value
— Folic Acid: 100% daily value
— Vitamin B12: 167% daily value
— Pantothenic Acid: 230% daily value
There are dozens of other ingredients included in Berocca, including a range of different synthetic compounds and natural extracts.
Here’s the full list of ingredients:
Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Maltodextrin, Magnesium Sulfate, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Carbonate, Caffeine, Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone; Less than 2% of: Acesulfame Potassium, Aspartame†, Beet Juice Powder (color), Beta-Carotene, Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid, Guarana Extract (seed), Mannitol, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Niacinamide, Polysorbate 60, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate, Salt, Sodium Carbonate, Sorbitol, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Zinc Citrate.
Some of the other important things to note about Berocca is that it contains zero sugar and less than 5 calories in each serving. There are, however, 260mg of sodium in each tablet (tablets sold in Australia and New Zealand contain 273mg of sodium, for some reason.)
There are also no preservatives and the supplement is gluten-free.
Berocca does, however, contain aspartame as a sweetener. If you want to avoid aspartame, then Berocca is not the right supplement for you.
How to Buy Berocca

You can buy Berocca at retailers across America. Find your local retailer online at Berocca’s official store finder here.
Berocca is even kind enough to list various prices across the country. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for each 10 count package of Berocca:
— Target: $4.99
— Amazon: $4.99
— Walgreens: $11.99
— CVS/Pharmacy: $11.99
— Drugstore.com: $8.99
How to Use Berocca
Using Berocca is fairly straightforward. The manufacturer recommends dissolving one tablet in 8 to 12 ounces of water in a glass or bottle and drinking it once daily.
After taking Berocca, you may notice that your urine turns a deep yellow color. This is totally natural and it’s due to the high levels of vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, included within each tablet. Each tablet contains 882% of your daily value of vitamin B2, and you urinate any extra vitamin B2 out of your body (it’s a water-soluble vitamin).
Bayer recommends you limit yourself to one tablet per day and does not provide any instructions regarding taking multiple doses per day.
Who Makes Berocca?
Berocca was originally created by a pharmaceutical company called Roche Pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical giant Bayer eventually bought out Roche Pharmaceuticals and all its drug formulas in January 2005.
