Have you ever wanted a nutritional supplement for dogs that promises to keep your dog healthy and happy by giving it the vitamins it needs. Here’s our VitaPet XE review.
What is VitaPet XE?
VitaPet XE is a chewable nutritional supplement tablet for large and small dogs. The supplement promises to help your dog in a number of different ways – including by energizing your dog in the morning, healing its coat and fur throughout the day, and helping your dog digest its dinner and sleep better at night.
The supplement comes in a one-size-fits-all variety. You can buy it for large or small dogs. The only difference is that you give larger dogs two or more tablets per day while giving smaller dogs just one tablet per day.
The supplement is priced between $4.50 and $15 for a supply of 120 capsules. The price drops down steeply when you buy in bulk.
How Does VitaPet XE Work?
We would love to tell you how VitaPet XE works, but the manufacturer never explains anything about the supplement.
Typically, pet supplement manufacturers like to list their ingredients, their ingredient sources, and the dosages of each vitamin or mineral inside the supplement.
VitaPet XE takes a different approach. It refuses to list the ingredients or the dosages in the supplement. So by giving it to your pet, you’re giving it a mysterious blend of unlabeled nutrients. That’s a bad idea – especially since dogs have such sensitive systems.
When prompted to provide more information about how VitaPet XE works or what’s included in the supplement, the manufacturer gets vague and spits out insanely stupid sentences like this one:
“Medium dogs are the largest size group of dogs, so it is extremely important to us that they get the nutrients they need!”
That’s a real sentence on the VitaPet XE website. Seriously. Oh, and there’s also a “Large Dog” category right below it, so medium dogs are absolutely not the largest size group of dogs.
It’s sentences like this that give us a huge red flag about VitaPet XE and its qualifications to provide your dog with the nutrition it needs to stay healthy.
There are no ingredients posted on the VitaPet XE website and no explanation of how the supplement works. Instead, the manufacturer just continues to spit out lines like the one above, saying things like “no matter how small your dog is, they will benifit greately from our vitamins!” [sic]. The entire website looks like it was made by someone who speaks English as a third or fourth language – and certainly not someone with any veterinary background or qualifications.
VitaPet XE Ingredients
VitaPet XE refuses to give us any information about its ingredients. No ingredients are named on the website. Needless to say, we also have no information about the dosages of those mysterious ingredients.
For all we know, VitaPet XE is just a bunch of chopped-up horsemeat. Without an ingredient label, we’ll never know.
VitaPet XE Pricing
Based on all of the information listed above, you shouldn’t give VitaPet XE to your pet if someone paid you. Nevertheless, the manufacturer has setup a pricing scheme that makes VitaPet XE one of the more expensive pet supplements you’ll find online. Here’s how pricing breaks down:
- 1 Bottle (120 Capsules): $15
- 2 Bottles: $28
- 3 Bottles: $21
- 4 Bottles: $48
- 5 Bottles: $35
- 10 Bottles: $60
- 15 Bottles: $75
- 20 Bottles: $90
All prices include shipping. And yes, that’s not a typo: the 3 and 5 bottle packages are priced significantly cheaper than the 2 and 4 bottle packages.
Ultimately, the manufacturer sells these pills to you at a price of $4.50 per bottle at their cheapest rate. Obviously, they’re not going to lose money on these sales – so it’s unlikely that VitaPet XE costs more than $2 or $3 to manufacture. Again, that’s another red flag.
Who Makes VitaPet XE?
VitaPet XE is made by a company of the same name. That company lists its corporate address as:
452 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd. #443
Las Vegas NV 89183
You can contact the company by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-844-307-3693. The company also lists an address in San Diego as its return address. That address (13223 Black Mountain Rd. Ste 1 #352) has been associated with hundreds of complaints online – including complaints about diet pill scams and nutritional supplement scams sold online.
We have no idea where VitaPet XE is manufactured or where its ingredients are sourced. The manufacturer never gives us any of this information.
Should You Give VitaPet XE to your Pet?
Would you pick up a pile of garbage off the street and feed it to your dog? Probably not. But for all we know, that’s what you’re doing when you give your dog VitaPet XE. The manufacturer refuses to list any ingredients or explain anything about how the supplement works. There’s virtually no information available on the supplement’s official website. You’re just expected to pay a high price for the supplement and give it to your dog without knowing anything about what’s inside it.
If we had to guess, VitaPet XE is just a white-labeled version of another popular pet supplement. The owner of the VitaPet XE brand buys pet supplements from somewhere like Amazon, marks up the price, and then advertises them at a premium rate. We’ve seen this approach with many similar products and offers sold online.
Ultimately, VitaPet XE gives us little reason to buy the supplement for any dog. It’s an overpriced, unlabeled combination of mysterious ingredients that comes with no concrete health benefits.
