Steaz is a lineup of organic green tea-based beverages launched in 2002. Find out what the hype is about today in our Steaz review.
What Is Steaz?
Steaz is a Doylestown, Pennsylvania-based beverage brand launched in 2002. The brand consists of a lineup of organic green tea products, including unsweetened green teas and energy drinks. Steaz is owned by The Healthy Beverage Company, a privately-held organization.
Today, words like “organic” and “green tea” get tossed around a lot. However, The Healthy Beverage Company was one of the first companies to notice it becoming popular. In the 1990s, the company’s founders both worked for Country Life Vitamins.
While working there, the pair observed that soft drinks were being removed from schools. They realized the world needed a healthier option – so they launched The Healthy Beverage Company.
Today, The Healthy Beverage Company is best-known for its Steaz family of beverages, including Steaz Iced Green Tea and Steaz Energy beverages. The company employs 8 people. Although they’ve been around since 2002, the company has become particularly popular in recent years.
In 2014 and 2015, Steaz started appearing in Costco and Target stores across America. Prior to that, Steaz could only be found in local groceries and food markets. Today, you can also find Steaz at Whole Foods, Kroger, and other common retailers, where it’s typically sold for about $2.50 per can. You can also find it on Amazon.
Steaz Products
All Steaz products are certified organic by Quality Assurance International. The company’s first major product, Steaz Green Tea Soda, was also the first soda that achieved USDA Organic certified status.
Steaz’s core products include several varieties of canned organic green tea drinks and energy drinks, made from trendy flavors like peach and mint. The products are made from Kenya-sourced green tea that’s been certified fair trade. The company mixes that green tea with certified fair trade cane sugar from Paraguay to make their beverages.
Here are the products currently available in the Steaz family:
