With 2 months left in their crowdfunding campaign, the company has achieved 150% of its fundraising target, earning $77,000 (of a $50,000 target).
The coffee table is priced at $500 to $700 USD plus shipping on Indiegogo, although the final retail price will be $1500.
It’s made by New York-based StoreBound, which has previously been known for making unique household items like the MatchStick (which lets you create your own candle), and the PancakeBot (which is kind of like a 3D printer for pancake batter).

Sobro Coffee Table Features
At first glance, the Sobro may look like an ordinary coffee table. However, it doesn’t take long before you spot some cool differences. The Sobro Coffee Table has a refrigerator you can use to store your beer and soda, for example.
It also has Bluetooth speakers, LED lights, charging ports, and touch controls. Because of these features, the company calls it “the greatest living room innovation since the remote control”. Here are some of the key feature:

Connecting to your TV is another neat feature. You can connect your TV to your coffee table to play audio over the speakers. So if you’re watching the Super Bowl, you can get an experience similar to surround sound.
To access this feature, you’ll need a smart TV or Bluetooth dongle, but the company will include it for free if they reach their stretch goal.
You control all of these features from the touch control interface, found beneath the tempered glass top. The glass top means you don’t need to use coasters or worry about coffee table rings.
The glass promises to be durable and easy to clean (tempered glass is the same stuff found on your microwave and electric stovetop). The touch controls let you control the audio, lights, and drawer temperature.
No app download is required to control your coffee table.
Finally, there are charging ports on the side of the Sobro that let you charge your electronic devices.
There’s also an aux cord input if you don’t want to use Bluetooth to play audio. You can also charge your laptop using 2 x 110v outlets (normal electrical outlets) found right on the side of the table.
And, like many ordinary coffee tables, the Sobro Coffee Table features storage drawers.
They’re found on the right hand side of the coffee table, just beside the fridge drawer (the fridge takes up about 2/3 of the coffee table’s width, while the storage drawers take up the remaining 1/3).

The Sobro Coffee Table is designed as a plug and play device. You plug a single cord in your wall outlet, then the coffee table is ready to go.
The coffee table ships almost fully assembled. You just screw on the legs, then plug it on. The coffee table also comes with a cord concealer that lets you hide the cord out of sight – like under your couch.

Obviously, when you’re shipping a (nearly) fully assembled coffee table, you know shipping isn’t going to be cheap.
Fortunately, the makers of the Sobro claim that they’re capping the maximum standard shipping charge at $89, and they’ll absorb any remaining charges above that amount. So the most you’ll pay is $89.
Shipping is available to the United States and Canada.
The table is available in white, wood, or black colors. If all goes according to plan, the manufacturer will start shipping out its first deliveries in August/September 2017.
